That is because game developers used to put a lot of effort in the music of their games. Now it is all about graphics, physics, AI, realism, etc. People are forgetting good music adds atmosphere to any game.

@BrickCity4eva Tbh, in my opinion SF and the new SF's are kinda dead. Like if you think about it, the original game came out with all these cool characters, their own stages, their own stories, their own theme musics.

Everything past SF2Alpha games, they just bring in generic characters, noone really has their own stage or theme anymore. So the characters just aren't as memorable and the stories get sillier and sillier as time goes on. Like someone said, ryu just trains harder every time.

@justin26UK exactly....this is why I'm kinda turned off when SF makes another game. All Capcom focuses on with the SF characters is the "Dream match" games. Which I love. but they need to come up with new stories. This is why I like King of Fighters, the story keeps going and keeps adding new characters that aren't generic.

sf could do something different with bison and shadaloo and reintroduce gill and alex in sf5, adding the potential to create a neat plot twist. personally i dont mind capcom's decision to keep ryu saying the same words for practically every ending (its cool, he deserves to be that way) but the evil ryu idea is sounding pretty good...

maybe y'all should design part of sf5's story *thumb up*

@CrypticCrysis1 in SF5, they can reintroduce Gill and Urien in some way or better yet a new boss (hopefully with some more originality) than Seth and some new cast. the SF3 story has been told, we don't need to rehash it and SF4 is between 2 and 3 so we needn't go there. We just need an all new adventure with hopefully some new cast members that the series can focus on. SF has been about Ryu for 20+ Years, there should be arcs like KOF where they focus on new characters and keeps the old guys

Maybe they should reboot SF like what they did with MK, with Ingrid trying to prevent Bison from triumphing over Gill and getting his revenge on Akuma, by changing the courses of action from the original SF up to Alpha 3, by like 1. Sealing up Satsui no Hadou while allowing Ryu to pull off moves like Akuma (minus Shun Goku Satsu), 2. Inviting Gouken to the first tournament, etc.

Well, they could always introduce a legitimate rival organization (or hell just develop Gill's group more). That way you not only keep Bison but give him something more substantial to fight for than just vaguely defined "power". That and maybe with a darker opponent we can finally develop Ryu into a character whose endings consist of more than just "I must train harder!" (you know, mess around more with that Dark Hadou sub-plot)..

@Soukyugurentai Here's my order of importance for making a game, from most to least: Controls and gameplay mechanics, Music and Story, AI, Graphics, and finally, Online components. I think, once you can actually play it, and not have to fight bad controls, give the composer the task of making a kick-ass soundtrack. Everything else can be done only after that is accomplished.

@TheFrankenstein94 Probably an international thing, in Japan, her moves were known as Cannon Spike and Spiral arrow, but in the US they were changed to Thrust kick and Cannon Drill. I guess they felt Americans would relate more to the moves when they were named that way, her Cannon Spike DOES look like a thrusting upward kick, and her Cannon Drill DOES look like her body is moving like a Drill shooting forward.
