The islanders are encouraged to keep it expensive because various very rich people around the world have made it THEIR secret holiday spot. Tony Blair & his family holiday on this island. Also, I remember in the 80s, when Seychelles had a trade deficit, they actually INCREASED the value of their money by FIFTEEN percent. Because the rich who go there don't care about paying an extra 15%.

I hope u liked seychelles I love it so much that everytime i come back i cry:'( what hotel did u stay at? If u styed at berjaya did u see a live band play called zenith? Are u planing to go again. Good music good choice you have good taste. Anyway hope u liked it there bye :)

We were lucky to stay in Seychelles for a full year and lived in Mare Anglais (just above Beau Vallong). Needless to say, I fell in love with the Island and all her people. You can count yourself one of the lucky (of 80 0000) seychellois ...as the national of this island are all blessed with a beautiful spirit!

Merci ` living there was the best, the friendliness of the people, the pace of life, the taste of the fresh fish everything was great - only complaint was the humidity!. We lived in Mare Anglais ..
I am not seychellois, would be so proud to be one though ... they are wonderful people. I spent a year in Seychelles and have just returned to canada.
