It was 42C that day. Thought the coppers would cancel the fireworks but thankfully it went ahead as planned, unfortunately one of the barges caught fire. What a day it was and the main highlight was the lightning show!!
Ohhh I remember that nite. I was watching the Mindarie fireworks from Hillarys boat harbour and the lightning seemed to work in perfectly with the fireworks. Best. Aussie Day. Ever!!

i'm from perth! we watched the fireworks and lightning from our balcony...whoa go to 00:10 and watch until 00:15 the lightning strikes down to the fireworks! =0
History repeated itself tonight and it was even better, the fireworks got off as planned and we had the most insane fireworks display ever.

i remember they nearly cancelled them coz they thought kings park was gonna catch on fire LOL
doesnt matter now coz some nobs done that for us
but yeah i was on a boat...i i remember thinking why are there fire works still going off??
get home and see the barge burning and it all over the news the next day lol
imagine if it didnt catch and that 1/4 did go off as planned...it would have been insanely awesome!!

We had little kids over and they were shitting themselfs bacause of the lighting :)
