@AGSTNoO Sam raimi said that the first part of evil dead 2 up intil ash was grabbed and forced into the forrest was a recap of what happened in the last film but only included linda because they didnt have the rights to use footage from the first movie to recap it. So that first 8 minutes is a remake and the rest is a sequel.
