I know what the interviewer means. There was something about him that felt like he just had no soul in the film, something you couldn't penetrate, it was a remarkably subtle and introspective performance for a young person, I don't know if people realize just how good he is, expressive acting for anyone really. Yet here he looks like walking doll, what a sweet and beautiful little boy. Who wouldn't want him as their child? The Fiennes family has got to be proud!

The kid's gonna be terrified... who the heck wants to know that their eyes are terrifying. Hopefully he understands that the reporter was talking about his acting style and how it made his eyes terrifying. Also, I think it's sort of ironic or paradoxical or something that his name is Hero. Heh.
