I really liked the kingdom hearts part. Yes the drill is sort of simple, well really simple to what are band is doing this year but the amazing music boosts that. Im sure the show looked better from the press box. The flag guard had several drops but i really liked it even if theyre a small band. I mean our band is 32 people and 4 guard.
Honestly overall the music is pretty good and its not the drill that's simple its the tempo there marching is that its to slow and mostly all the songs where pretty good could here the melody except for the kingdom hearts there where maybe a few tempo tears and kinda fuzzy but im guess cause there chops are wear out .guessing

At my high school we're playing these pieces as well. But we suck. And we do have a higher budget than our sports teams, but we only have about 53-about 72 people in band. But we do have a strong low section, percussion section and our school spirit. I just wish everyone had the school spirit or some emotion toward our band. They had to make it mandatory for everyone that was in band unless they were in a sport. And most of our band is part of the flag corps.
I'm curious as to whether or not half the people commenting on this video have ever been in a high school band? Music programs don't get nearly as much of a budget or members as a sports program does, marching band especially.
Even if you can brag about knowing a few things about marching take into consideration the amount of instrumentation in this band, they don't even have a Pit. I think they did wonderfully and deserved their scores.

The music was pretty good, the melody got covered up on some parts, but that's okay, because you could still here it. Marching was simple, but clean (no pun intended, I swear). Guard was together most of the time.
i got sick watching this.......... apparently, the colorguard director had NO IDEA what he or she was doing............... the routines are so repetetive....... i could learn them in ten minutes tops......

Hah, this is excellent compared to our band's attempts, we seriously suck because nobody tries. And we are a rather small band. Oh, ouch, I just heard Kingdom Hearts, but the other two songs were good.

first of all. the drum major took kingdom hearts WAY to fast. second, that was in no way a 1st division worthy show. it was pretty medioker. our band has 25 ppl in it, and in 5 days of band camp, we have all of our show on the feild, with 60 pages of drill, and music at a pretty good playing leval. that being said, the show was ok, but i think that it could have been better, also, at festival for marching band, the triphies/awards are pre orderd, so so many ppl get a 2nd and so many bands get a1
how long did it take yall to learn that we did halo in a week singing instead of playing the first 4 measures (extra points in a competition) we played bounty hunter but our drill was fucked up so we couldnt learn that and your tubas suck i coulnt hear them at all i am louder than all of them!!

The trumpts and mellaphones aren't off it's the quality of the microphone, I'd guess it's built into the camera. Not the best for picking up all of the instruments.
so on the field i thought we sounded ok...but listening to it now i'm not thinking we did. but i have a feeling that this years show is going to be a lot better than this one. we have great players and most everyone is understanding the concept of balance...i'm so excited to march our first game friday!!!
Im am the brass captain at my highschool, ive been playing trombone for 7 years, the thing about any brass instrument is that you cant try too hard to produce a high note it will get pinched very sharp, and sound very bad, and the thing about marching band is, you cant give up on it, its very hard, and you have to give your best! Yeah, during Kingdom Hearts, the trumpet and french horns needed to be together and hitting all the motes, but for a small band, it wasn't bad.
The drums were a bit too loud around 6:10, during the verse; it's supposed to be mysterious and soft.
Overall, pretty nice!
