Superintendent Tom Horne talks about technology in schools

Tom Horne want to close more and more public schools They sell the business to charter schools. Tom supports the charter school movement. He wants to ban ethnic Studies but refuses to audit his #1 charter school Sonoran Science Academy that has six schools and over 1/2 Turkish. Ethnic studies in not a real problem However the whole cuture at SSA is about Turkish song, dance, food history art etc

I guess I never sat in a debate with Tom Horne, but his views on ethnic studies are very euro-centric and subversive of American history. By him denying ethnic studies he is also denying the history of millions of non-white Americans, whose story is traditionaly excluded from history text books. Unfortunately, it has become clear that there are various politicians that share his idealism, thus have turning Arizona into the 1950s South. : (
