I know absolutely nothing about robotics, but wouldnt detecting the location and distance of the balloon be easy with the edge detection and radar bouncing back stuff? Would it be able to be told to hit the ball closer to itself if the ball is going further away.
thats really good but....eventually after robotic depth perception is developed they will need to make robots that can walk and use robotic hands to a semi primitive Human level. but first comes first the depth perception module needs to be perfected. Great work to those who made it.
you wouldn't believe it, but for the robot to calculate the distance from it to the ball is actually a hefty accomplishment. Depth perception isn't a 'bots best friend! ;)
