I didn't play this game when it came out. I was five at the time, but I can remember playing the demo at a VIDEO STORE, just to show how old I am no, and man, was this ever awesome! The Ultimate Genesis Collection has Vector Man 1 & 2 and man, is it still awesome.

I love vectorman, i used to play it alot when I was little, I still bust it out once every year at least or every 2 years just for nostalgic purposes, I had no idea they made a 2nd game until I bought the genesis classics collection on ps2 about 2 or 3 years ago, the second game is hard as fuck! I couldnt beat it without cheats, the first I could beat no prob, but the second kicked my ass, maybe because I dont really know the second very well while I know the first and have beat it many times.

Yeah it's called "Sonic's Ultimate Sega Genesis Collection", or if you live in Europe, "Ultimate Mega Drive Collection". They were not playing with this one as it has 50+ classic Sega games on it! You can get it for like $20 ($15 used), and I highly recommend it to anyone who is an old-school sega fan that owns either a PS3 or a 360.

sorry. um at the end of the game, you are given the phone number of the developer of the game. i have no clue what it is, and even if i did, the developer has long since shut down. anyways, if you were the first to beat it back in the day, they would give you some grand prize. it was a craze. also, I think you had to beat it on insane.

sonic actually was a good concept, just back then honestly sega put it together bad the sounds the graphics the overall fun factor was not there and made the whole thing seem so gut wretching and disgusting, but sonic is normal and was good, and the graphics were good for its time, but honestly you don't fill the minds of kids those days with games like these when u first enter the game you see a bunch of tye-dye flags, tvs, lights, rockmen (doesnt fit the theme?), demented disturb the kid

so i realized how disturbed this world was because at 5 yrs old i saw the tvs were wierd..the lights actually were more normal but the tvs were scattered all over and u shot at them overhead were they surveillance cameras?, nintendo had that fun quality and also...and was overall just more normal and less wierd then everything on sega which was all blue characters and stages aliek including sonic and his blue stage, and everything though technically superb was infinitely boring on the sega

I just watched more of this video. I'm not sure how they coded some of the effects in this game. The first boss you fight.. Seems to have rotation on it.. I really doubt that was coded real time because other games would have taken more advantage of software rotation if it was feasable. Otherwise, the Genesis had NO hardware rotation or scaling.

Then again, some good ASM coders get get away with a hell of a lot.

I think so. It's done in the same style, has new and interesting animal-transformations, and is, in my opinion, more of a challenge in various ways. It probably isn't as graphically good but it's still amazing and beautiful graphics. Also, one of the later levels is a pun on the final level of the first game. But it's giant alien bugs that you battle in the second game, not robots, and it was only released in America I think.
