Keep up the great work.. I hope to create my own one day. I actually have built 2 but both failed miserably. I have built a fully functioning 15' sail boat by myself, but for some reason a mandolin is much harder. Thanks for the video!
Well I'm a new Mandolin player this last year and I've lusted after luthiery for 25+ years. Saw a post on Mandolin Cafe and checked out the YouTube video on the new mando, but am more interested in the process here. Here's a guy, roughly "my age" on Mando #22. Hand Built. No machines carving the tops. This is what "hand built" is about. AND he's sharing with us how he does it. Does that ever resonate with me, perhaps as much as a tap tuned top does.
