Most game play videos I see of this have missing frames of animation and the coloration is really dark on the turtles.

The SNES version wasn't as great as the arcade version when it came to number of players, graphics, and sound, but it did add some extra levels to make up for that. They're both great games.

Nope, this is the arcade... the SNES version had a lot of differences (not just the lack of 4 player). The arcade TIT, SNES TIT and Genesis HH are all good games.

Dude if you want to get this game, download the mame32 arcade emulator and look for free mame32 rom donwloads and follow the instructions to install mame32. Then when you have it input in the serach enginge free mame32 roms and you should be able to find most off all the arcade classic games even the first turtles arcade game. I have both including The Simpsons arcade game, it's awesome.

Even if I loved my old SNES, truth is that its games couldn't ever match an arcade original: animation, voices, details... everithing that makes a game great can't be pushed into any domestic gamepack in any past systems.

Remember NBA Jam, Street Fighter II and SF Alpha 2, Sunsetriders?

Also, arcade rooms where the shit back then: weird lights, noise, music, snacks, kids, friends, challengers... on-line experiences aren't any close to that, they'll need always a 'bonus' to be attractive.

@ojoroto I agree except for the controls I felt the controls sticked a bit on the cabinet vs the console plus the console had Bebop and Rocksteady as bosses and a better way to trap the turtles in the time warp by beating the shredder and frustrating him so he zaps them instead of traveling through the sewers and zapping them.

The beginning intro was ripped from the Radio City Music Hall Live concert Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles "They're coming Out Of There Shells Tour" which debuted 1991 in (same year the arcade was released) and no Vanilla Ice did not rap the song.
