The console version was infinitely watered down. In the amount of voice acting done. The graphics were reduced. I'm not so sure about the difficulty from this video.
This game is sooo hard. I can't beat the second stage, everytime I get there I have 0 LIFE and yeah, the only way I could beat the second stage would be to Continue and get the 2 REST from that. But what about the game after that part? I can't imagine what difficulity they set for this game. SUPER HARD?
i liked the snes version better than the arcade i have to say, most of the time i would faver the arcade better than the home versions but not this one
@aktaskmaster I'd like to tell myself it was the online console accounts that fucked it up. But sadly arcades were gone way before that. Look on the bright side, we got to experience something magical while these new up and comers will never know what they missed out on
the first part (1989 arcade game) is on xbox live to download n own i got it and i love it but I WANT THIS ONE DAMN IT!!! AND THE SIMPSONS ARCADE GAME!!! WHEN WILL DEY PUT IT ON XBOX 360???
The SNES version wasn't as great as the arcade version when it came to number of players, graphics, and sound, but it did add some extra levels to make up for that. They're both great games.
Nope, this is the arcade... the SNES version had a lot of differences (not just the lack of 4 player). The arcade TIT, SNES TIT and Genesis HH are all good games.
In German this was called turtles in time right? but not as arcade (In german there are like..no arcade games oO) only on SNES...I LOVE THIS GAME (sometimes i play it with a friend when we are bored...)
Also loved Tennage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament...
Yo, I remember playing this game in the arcade with the fellas as a kid. That shit would make us all get sooooo wild. I used to love the sound the turtles make when they slam bad guys on the ground!
Dude if you want to get this game, download the mame32 arcade emulator and look for free mame32 rom donwloads and follow the instructions to install mame32. Then when you have it input in the serach enginge free mame32 roms and you should be able to find most off all the arcade classic games even the first turtles arcade game. I have both including The Simpsons arcade game, it's awesome.
Even if I loved my old SNES, truth is that its games couldn't ever match an arcade original: animation, voices, details... everithing that makes a game great can't be pushed into any domestic gamepack in any past systems.
Remember NBA Jam, Street Fighter II and SF Alpha 2, Sunsetriders?
Also, arcade rooms where the shit back then: weird lights, noise, music, snacks, kids, friends, challengers... on-line experiences aren't any close to that, they'll need always a 'bonus' to be attractive.
I played both and the snes version was really cool because it was in my room, but the graphics, the sound quality, and control were a lot cooler on arcade.
@ojoroto I agree except for the controls I felt the controls sticked a bit on the cabinet vs the console plus the console had Bebop and Rocksteady as bosses and a better way to trap the turtles in the time warp by beating the shredder and frustrating him so he zaps them instead of traveling through the sewers and zapping them.
Omg bud not to be rude but that gaming wasn´t good you mostly just spam the special attack and yeah you needed cheats to finish this game, it ain´t that hard dunno why you got hit so often. I remember clearing the whole game without continuing on the SNES one on hard mode were most enemmies blocked your attack with a rock? O_O And yeah Super shredder was awsome freezes you, burns you, and turns you in a innofensive tiny turtle, haha so funny xD
Ohh man, I still that euphoric rush when I watch the opening. Just like when I first saw this in the arcade the first time. But yeah, frickin' cheater.
I'd be curious to see another video on the hardest difficulty setting WITHOUT any cheats just so we can get idea of how much money it would cost to finish the last last leg of the game.
Growing up in a glass bowl with chameleons, lizards, and tadpoles, it hardly enters your mind that there's something better than this. A better treat than a carrot, maybe a seed from a parrot. Believe me when i tell u the word gormet just don't exist. But pizza power, A flying saucer food delight Pizza power, Oh, that's what makes us feel all right
The beginning intro was ripped from the Radio City Music Hall Live concert Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles "They're coming Out Of There Shells Tour" which debuted 1991 in (same year the arcade was released) and no Vanilla Ice did not rap the song. Ralph did (watch the video of the live show if you don't believe me LOL!!) Too bad the song never made it to the SNES :(
it came from the turtles concert series. i used to have it as a kid... actually i came across it on google video too. its pretty ridiculous how much shit they marketed to kids, and we all ate it up.
I unlocked turtles in time from the mutant nightmare 3 (ps2)and I found it to be a sloppy mess with poor voice overs, lack of sound effects, removed pizza power oping video, etc.Even with todays powerful systems, why can't it
HAHAHA!!! Wow was a 9-year old playing this!? I played Turtles in Time on the snes a couple days ago and was able to beat it on hard mode WITHOUT CHEATS! At least you showed us what NOT to do in the game...
to clear up this whole "voices in this game are bad", let me explain: the voices were done by the original voice actors from the classic cartoon show. So this game is more of a continuity of the series.
one last thing: you should blame the TMNT 3: Mutant Nightmare version's voice acting. And the level music is different too. Man, I love this level's music and it was not in there. But the gameplay is still there.
I have the gamecube version of this as part of TMNT3 mutant nightmare classic game Me and my brother and this other dude Got to the ship level and we ran out of money. Oh the memories.
The console version was infinitely watered down. In the amount of voice acting done. The graphics were reduced. I'm not so sure about the difficulty from this video.

Dude, thanks for the video but in fact you suck. If it wasn't for the cheats you should never beat even the first stage.
That's the difference about today's generation.
And about the game, no doubt that this one made a certain revolution about 2D fighting games.

Huh. If he was this big normal, imagine if he WAS Super Shredder in the arcade. Big as the Statue of Liberty itself! XD
MisterOhma 2 years ago
Man I don't know what you did to the game but you make it look GOOD.
I mean it's really vibrant in color and the animation is smooth as hell.
Most game play videos I see of this have missing frames of animation and the coloration is really dark on the turtles.
