Lego went WAAAAAAAAAAAY too far with this storyline! I loved it back when they were just a race of people living in an island paradise with 6 heros to protect them from the darkness! I didn't need to know that they were all living on Mata Nui's face, and that Mata Nui wasn't really a god, but instead a giant robot :S Island Paradise and Giant fecking Robot don't really go together :S

@SamJamRic The Great Beings designed the Mata Nui Robot to fix Spherus Magna, so it was designed, in essence, to create life. When Teridax struck the M.N.R en route to fix Spherus Magna, it crashed into Aqua Magna, which caused the Great Cataclysm. The M.N.R then went into a "hibernation" state, creating an outlet for any excess power which became the volcano and therefore created the island of Mata Nui. Before that, they lived inside the M.N.R - which was Metru Nui.

@Wraithstrike19 I didn't mean I didn't understand the storyline, I just meant that they made it fairly obvious that they were making it up as they went along. It was far more fun when the storyline was all mysterious. I'll never forget the shiver that went up my spine when I was little, and playing the start of the first bionicle online game. It was all so spooky and mysterious. It sucked once you found out what mata nui really was!

I couldn't follow the series after book one of the voya nui series. what happened to the toas ? what happened to Takanuva? what happened to Vakama and his group? wth happened?

@spideyrockz4ever takanuva had to much light he couldnt pass thru the passage from mata nui to voya nui the toas were to be left bak in mata nui to protect the matoran so 6 matoran went thru the passage and mutated into the toa that fought against the piraka

@PokemonSpectrum92 Takanuva (being a Toa of Light) couldn't pass into Kharzani's realm (Bionicle Hell) so Jaller, Halhi, Matoro, Nuparu, Kongu and Hewkii passed through the realm as Matoran, were hit by a energy lightning bolt from something known as the Red Star and were transformed/mutated into the hybrid Toa Inika (as they had electrical abilities along with their elemental powers) to save the Toa Nuva who had gone before them to collect the Mask of Life and were captured by Piraka. Clearer?
