This song isn't sad...It's funny. It's sounds like the lyric are straight from a lecture his been given for not "keeping his mouth shut".

His violin makes all his stuff sound pretty and dramatic and sad. But his lyrics hold a whole range of stuff. They are sometimes funny, sad, thoughtful, immature, whatever

The dramatic violin is just the package they are in.
