  • Classic tune.

  • @Pendor42 in this day and age, and if your my age you have to teach your self the way of living, think ive cracked it!

  • 8 peoples mothers did too much

  • @archangel thx for clearing that up for me. Which leave me to another question. Do you think the U.S. is working toward the N.W.O.?

  • Why do the british don't like the Americans? Just curious, I've seen some comment while looking up some old ska videos and was surprise to see those comment.

  • @bronxsea The question really, is, does anyone dislike Americans for good reasons?

No one can justify disliking someone for where they were born

But it is perfectly sound to dislike enablers for mouthing the propaganda of the war machine, paying tax money to tyrants who would control the globe, and only ever complaining -that they have to pay taxes-, not -about what the money is spent on-

Everyone who does not fit that description should never have to listen to criticism, but fat chance of that

  • Respond to this video...

  • I loved this, it came out just as my days of violence and crime was coming to an end, i fondly look back on this as the end of my teenage years.

i am not proud of the violence and crime i caused in the late 1970s, i am just grateful that i did well out of it and never paid the price, changed my life around and am now a successful businessman who employs 14 people, any of them steal from me and they are up in court.

I call myself a Punk trained businessman, i no the ropes, i no the laws

  • I wished I was THERE.

  • he looks like the actor from october sky...

  • i love when Terry say "this could have been our next single but they wouldn't play it on the radio."

  • a lesson to all those youing girls out there who think that its ok to get married at 16yrs old and then your life is gone forever, changed completely. even worse if your man is a rongun and does not support you

  • @ycfunlover but its okay to toss your pussy to any guy who wants it ;ladies but marriage is bad defeniatly

  • @bigwillakingkilla no read what i said , i said dont get married at 16 cos ur lifes gone before you know it, and its even worse if your man wants to hang out with his mates and leave you all alone to bring up the family you and him created, simply cos you are too young and life changes ok

  • @ycfunlover but still girls should be tossing thier pussies tpo everyguy

  • @ycfunlover support you? support yourself slut

  • Hi people, this is Blair from Terry, Blair & Anouchka. I put up the video of Ultra modern Nursery Rhymes and received a disclaimer from Jerry Sadowitz that I was infringing his copyright. How sad is this? A harmless video, no money changes hands, it's not played on TV and the only exposure is through web sites like YouTube.

  • i <3 rudeboys

  • I love the spunk.

  • 0.26 - 0.30 & 0.46 - 0.50 ...whats the lyrics?

  • Neville (the tambourine guy) now looks younger than he did in '79. Says much about the power of hand percussion.

  • I like him better with the mustache, though.

  • was anyone there,at the ub40 concert in rother park in 1980s rotherham, when specials, madness, bad manners and selecter did a free concert for the unemployed

  • i've seen these guys in dublin once...a really massive band!

  • these guys are so cool; why am I only finding out about them now?

  • Maybe cos you have the benefit of youth of your side!!! Trust me they were awesome in 1979 and damn good last month when I saw them!

  • cos you are 5 yrs old??

  • you don't have to be an asshole about it.

    I'm 20, actually.

I love it big vibez!

Massive crowd all chanting "Rude Boi, Rude Boi..."

  • to answer the other guy... It would be hard to find this many guys who are this good. I live in a city and i cant find anyone to jam with. it's wierd. Fate?

  • Damn! I remember this and I don't mean this song - I mean the Specials on The Old Grey Whistle Test!! Now that makes me feel old. I can remember my mother letting me stay up late to watch this. The next thing she let me stay up for was the Tygers of Pan Tang playing Love Potion No.9 hahaha.

  • Neville at 2:00 is hilarious! Great performance from one of the best bands ever.

  • This is amazing.

  • This was and still is my favourite song, 3 days ago I found out I've done too much, much to young...

  • by this last part do you mean what i think? xD you'r becoming a parent?

  • I'm seeing these guys tomorrow.

    Gizz.

  • I am not sure whether anyone could form a group these days based on The Specials. I mean, Ska, had its place, its time and place. The moment was just right for that music. I would love to see it make a comeback, The Specials were just that, very special. Brilliant talented band throughout the group. But, to bring back Ska now...not sure.about that, as some people will say music has moved on. This kills two birds with one stone, brilliant music and brilliant for race relations too.

  • Why couldn't they play it on the Radio?

  • RUDE BOYS RULE!!

Split to form Fun Boy Three After

  • terry is way too cool! I played it, Terry!

  • REAL Music!!!!!!!

  • Nevil Staple.

    The Official RUDEBOY <3

  • @x3milliex3

  • Secret Affair pIay their 30th Anniversary show @ The Camden Centre, Kings X, May 30th. They aIso appeared on The OId Grey WhistIe Test suited and booted in 1979.

  • ...an awesome UK band from the fantastic 80's when SKA ruled...All SKA /rock steady beat bands had very explicit anti-establishmentary lyrics directed specifically to the governments of the day BUT all of them dressed well, in suits & ties & in many occassions wore hats or bowlers...

    :-)

  • Are you implying that bowlers arent hats? Grr

  • @khisham they wore the suits as an intentional "fuck you" to the oppressive working class society they were rebelling against...

  • @tommybwilson379 you're talking bollocks mate, they were rebelling against thatcherism, you dozy cunt

  • I think Benedict XVI should to listen to this song maybe he would change his opinion on contraception.

  • Im startin a band like this! =D i love the speicals, ska is like the greatest

  • good luck with the band. the specials are class. i'm 11 and i love these thier live performances i've watched on u tube are awsome

  • ???????????......rsrsrsrsrs

  • i do

  • me these days

  • me for 1

  • do u even know wat oi is...

  • In the terms the word 'oi!' was used, its not a word as such, 'oi!' is a genre of music that origionated around the late 70's generally based around two tone Ska and Brit Rock

  • We do you dick.

    Because we're English.

You know - England - where your language comes from.

Kept that when you got your 'independence' didn't you...

  • well no not because you're english. its just that here in america theres people who say oi and peace in the uk, they were born and raised here. basically posers. but yeah no offence to the english.

  • Simply the best band in the world ever, nobody can touch this band, working class heroes.

  • OK Thank you!! Hello I am 30, yes OLD!! :), but I first heard them when I WAS 15!! Fell in love, and it's never changed!! I am grateful for a fantasically awesome band- they been around since I WAS BORN!! Lol

  • 'teens today' i didn't think I had a problem until now, do you know me personally?

  • Wow- Can't we ALL just say the specials ARE just awesome wihout getting all political & crap- stop blaming 'this and that'?!! At least the SPECIALS can still make all people happy- HELLO JUST ENJOY! Damn- I AM old, AND no need to be all negative!! I appreciate the youngin's likin this music too!! Brings everybody together- HELLO?!! THAT's what matters. :)

  • This is an absolute gem! No band has influenced me like them, The perfect sounding time for them,

  • EatMyPwn - good work on the slap-down!The truth of the matter is thata lot of the problems with the teens now are as a direct result of the previous generation - mine! Successive government policies didn't help, but it starts in the home.

    Good tune, by the way!

  • whattt i love the specials im a normal tennager and im 14 there amazing

  • why don't people perform like this anymore! they've got great energy

  • im 14 and i love the specials :P

  • 13, and same!!

  • I'm sorry, if you're going to be condescending, you should probably correct the spelling and grammar there. Cunt.

  • I am a teen today, i do love it.

  • Love the specials

  • how mint is this band realy

  • TOO ALL THE TEENAGERS TODAY

  • and 5/852yoplo

  • Us teens are not at all that bad, the media, as with everything just sensationalises the stories about us teens especially popular crappy news papers such as 'The Sun'

  • Too "All" teens?

You having a fucking joke matey?

The reason kids are fucked up as bad as they are now is because, their parents allowed it to happen, and so did the governement. Don't put the blame on the kids, they weren't born into the world monsters! and by the way im 16 im have tonnes more sense then you by the seems of it. Now, instead of passing off blame try becoming perfect youself?

  • To the ignorant News of the World reader: Gain some knowledge of the world before you start spreading patronising messages to "all the teenagers today". Cunt.

  • Comment removed

  • Im 18 and i havnt got anyone pregnant! why do they streotype teens aye

  • dont lie, i can just smell the lonsdale tracksuit and 10p fags from here. youre not fooling anyone miss's

  • I WAS THERE back in the day and there was such a buzz in cov..i went to barr's hill school and nevills kids went there so we would see him from time to time and terry hall around cov all th time,....All of the songs could have been written today..thats why they are timeless too much to young !totally before its time look at the kids wiv a belly full of arms and legs livin off tax payers !! any way saw neville in the pound shop down jubilee crecent still keepin it real glad for them all .enjoy!

  • One of my favorite songs of all time.

  • FUCKIN LOVE YOU TERRY CLASSS A MAN

  • COVENTRY AT IT'S BEST

  • if this came out now they wouldnt censor it

    wicked song =]

  • I love how he said this would be their next single but they wouldn't play it on the radio. How lame is that?!! Are the censors afraid they'd offend people who whore around? lol...seriously, though?

  • This was a very political song for its time. Birth control was controversial and the UK was having problems fighting an economic downturn. If you read into the song, they are saying its cool to sleep around and have fun when you're young just wear some protection and don't get married, have fun while you can.

  • That's a great explanation. Thank you.

  • a love ska so much energy specially when ur stonedootyernut

  • In school mate loving this music. Singing this song in class all day and getting on everyones nerves.

  • takes me back to my yoof:-/ where were you, and what were you doing when you first heard these sounds?

  • the enemy have lyrics that talk about how the world is today, there the next generation, there taking over from oasis mate, give them a listen, this song is a class song and if u listen it tell u a message aswell.

  • you can fuck right off with the enemy, comparing the specials with the enemy, fuck right off, the enemy are like kasabian, and oasis, ripping off a whole music genre, only oasis did it with a bit of who gives a fuck attitude! the enemy are just that, the fucking enemy!!!!

  • how old was Terry in this video?

  • 20? maybe 21?

  • ted was 19 when gangsters charted so prob 20 here

  • Brilliant.

  • This song should be played on Jeremy Kyle me thinks lol

    This song is so true.

  • True, where are the lyrics these days, do we need another recesion?
