@80sto00smusic Yes Bowie signed to EMI, released Let's Dance and got a 4 million seller album...he would also say to the press what a healthy lifestyle he was into, getting up at 7 in the morning.... it was probably all in the contract!

Later, he admitted he was still on coke during this time...but I love Bowie no matter what, and Romy was probably great fun! :-D

The whole idea of Bowie being a straight guy who was pretending to be gay is utter bullshit. He's not the first queen to go back into the closet after being out. I was around him a lot in the early days, and I know better. As late as 1978, Sean Mayes, who played piano for Bowie on the Low/Heroes tour told me that he had gone to male brothels with Bowie when they were in Japan that year.

what a bullshit! Romy said nothing to the press, but because they spend 24h a day together in public it was very soon clear that they are a couple. The press harrased them and they were on top of the newspapers for month!
