  • Hi Jon, me again, Youtube wants me to be a partner, but I am under 18. So if I were to use my dad as a person to make revenue, and then switch when I turn 18?

  • @DrpatfearNG

    yes

  • @Jon3800 Thanks for the info

  • there aso craking down on gaming u no

  • @Hi675445

Yes I know about this and bill S.978.

Besides, you can't even post too many gaming videos if you want to become a partner...they're mostly not even your content.

  • @Jon3800 inot a parner but i have got Congratulations! Your account is now enabled for monetisation n my video should i remove all my games video or something it like a parner with out the banner and unlimed time and thumnown and is it safe to do screencast becouse now it say NOT eligible Visuals: images, logos, software, video game footage but i have

  • @Hi675445

Check your PM, since you send me the exact same message. You don't need to re-send the same message. Unlike other popular accounts, I actually answer.

  • sorry need some advice i got video on it

  • I have a video that I said shit in. Will I get to be a partner?

  • @alienz194

this is a really old video. You can get away with a few curse here and there

  • The don't "steal" rule is boguss. RWJ.

  • Hey Im not known on youtube very well but I just want to know if some of my videos has this " Matched third party content. " if I can still become a partner?

  • @DARKSONIC453

it is possible, but I would maybe try to remove those videos or if you are earning revenue, I would probably want to disable it

  • I was a part partner for two of my videos..but they removed me because of click activity! I have 16,089 channel views...261,607 total upload views...50 videos...348 subscribers! I was wondering if i removed all my videos that have copyright in them...do you think i can apply from my channel again and be able to become a full partner?

  • hey, im probs miles away from becoming a partner but for future reference, i post gameplay commentarys, so i put no music on my videos just my voice and the gameplay, would i have to get permission to show the gameplay from the company that make the game?????????? Like would i have to get permission from infinity ward to post a gameplay of MW2??????

  • @xZfrostyZx

as long as it's orginal commentary it shouldn't pose a big problem..then again I'm not completely sure since I don't post these games.

  • @Jon3800 kk cheers for that. i subbed. thanx for the quick reply :) !!!

  • @xZfrostyZx For gameplay, the rule is: As long as there is commentary, then it's fine (just look at machinimarespawn). If it's only gameplay then youll get copyright issues.

  • @Mountaind3ws

    yes to both questions.

  • this good quality lolz(no offense)

  • @siege456productions

    for a webcam it is

  • could you look at my channle and see if it all ok and could you tell me if anything is copyright

  • @iExtraCTionzZ

You have to keep in mind I can look at you channel but I'm not the one that issues the partnerships. Information is also available in Partner Help center (which anyone access) because they have guidelines for which to upload.

The only copyright issue I see is from your game recordings..you used music for throughout the whole video. This will NOT get you into the partnership. You need to use voice commentary about the game that's instructional or comedy related.

  • How do you set up an AdSense account???

  • @JAXandDAX

it is as simple as typing google adsense on google and clicking it. They walk you through it. It is as easy as setting up a youtube account. If you were to view the video description, there is a direct link to adsense

  • @Jon3800 please reply. are guitar covers okay

  • @jonjonjon1370

it depends on what guitar covers you're doing. You can't doing well-established songs, as it might be potential copyright.

  • @Jon3800 what about metallica songs? guns n roses?

  • @jonjonjon1370

that would be copyright.. They rather you do original songs that you make yourself. It would separate you from everyone else doing covers, hence making you more likely to gain a partnership.

  • @wrestlinggodbitch

They actually offered me the partnership and was approved the same day. However, on my other channel, I tried applying haven't heard from them in over 2 months. It takes time because they look at every video you have

  • I have a question. How do i add music but get it accepted or what ever so it doesnt get blocked

  • @GaMeSMeDiALiVe

You need exclusive permission to use it. Personally I wouldn't put 3rd party music in videos, you will not be able to get money off the videos

  • @Jon3800 Like how to you get permissin to do that ?

  • @GaMeSMeDiALiVe

you may need to send an email to whomever makes Motorsports requesting permission to use it to prevent copyright infringement. I'm not sure tho,I never made videos that weren't my own. And there's a way without making money, just don't put the ads on.

  • @Poloscout15

It's not a requirement. It's one of my guideline I put in there for what it might help forget noiced. It's not directly from youtube, as ShaneDawsonTV is a partner that swears A LOT. You have to keep in mind at least a good 75% of youtube's audience are teenagers ages 13-19. I personally think excessive swearing to be highly inappropriate and sets a bad example, because advertisers are watching your videos before they put on their advertisements.

  • @Jon3800 Is it possible that I can not revenue share on those videos that I do not own? Thanks for the help once again just watched Part 1

  • @Jon3800 Hey mate I Got the Partnership invite the other day but I Don't own half of my videos. I own some of them from my HD Camera but I do not own most of my videos at all they are mostly from Motorsport Coverage. Is it still possible that I can sign up to the invite? Thanks for the help And is it possible I can become a partner with out making any money?

  • @AMFForumvideo

yes you can accept, but you need to get permission

  • u could have said ozzy osbourne DIO SLASH! NOT FUCKING MADONNA!!!!!!!!

  • @kouradoman

dude it was just an example to get the point across about famous artists, there's MANY I left out. Not many people like the mumbling bafoon

  • heyy i have a 138 subbers 5000+ video views 15 vids and 2500+ channel views can i bee partner??? please tell me

  • @legosithlordyusei12

its a start but you need a lot more than 5000. Youtube invited me when I had 230,000, but if one or more videos get popular fast, they may invite you. Partnerships now are invite-only, we can't apply for them anymore

  • @Jon3800 ohh so i cant apply yet

  • @legosithlordyusei12

The applications are phased out. If you go on to the partner's site on youtube, it may not bring you to the homepage.

  • @Jon3800 i just applied i wish they exept me

  • @legosithlordyusei12

Hopefully they will. To answer your question, I can't give you a specific time, I applied 5 months back on my second account and no reply

  • @Jon3800 Oh shit :( ...........it said you have to be in US ,Canada etc.... But what if you live in American US teritories like for example Pueto rico or Us Virgin Islands in the caribbean? Will we be still able to sigh up? I just want to know because i Live in the US Virgin Islands and we are one of america's islands like Pueto rico . So yea can you get back tome ASAP because i'm starting to get nervous that i cant apply for being a partner :(

  • @BlackSkullz09

The program is not available YET in the country, but try applying anyway.

  • @Jon3800 ok thanks

  • @Jon3800 i aplied i wish i get accepted how long does it take for then to tell u if u r or arnt

  • @legosithlordyusei12 ohh ok thanks hopefully it wont take long wish me best of luck

  • :| I think No swearing is now outruled... >->

Cause there are a shit load of youtube partners swear.

  • But I Saw A Partner With Like 10 Subscribers And No Videos!

  • @oheao

thats impossible. the user must have removed the videos or he must have been hacked. Youtube won't partner people with no videos

  • Hey Jon3800! I'm Vietnamese, that's mean i can't become a youtube partner? :D

  • @TauBuuVuong

    not as of yet

  • Just wondering I need help. Please Help Thanks. ok well I enjoy making video game commentaries. I also want to become a youtube partner yet since the stuff I make is copyrighted I need permission to become a partner. Don't tell me I can't cause you can ex.) Machinma, seananners, thekenburten are just a few. But it is hard to get permission. Basically if you or anyone has any info on this please help thanks

  • @125Videos

well, bascially you took the the whole words right out of my mouth. The problem with video game commentaries are they have EDUCATIONAL based and they have to be very FEW of them.. Youtube will not grant revenue sharing if it is used for an extended period of time. You can probably get away with game reviews like Irategamer. You should watch the 6th part...I talk about this

  • @Jon3800 ok thanks I will. Just i really enjoy making video game commentaries and they are easy to make just right now trying to get permission and learn everything I need to know so I can become a partner in the future it is hard and by the way you make some nice videos

  • @125Videos

    thanks, good luck

  • I only got an email for partnership for just one of my videos. I just applied to become a partner yesterday, do you think I will have a good chance?

  • @KungFuMastur

not if you keep using songs like Black Eyed Peas, it's copyright, and they don't like it

  • Is my channel a Good Example? Tell me if I can sign up for a Partnership please.

    Thank You!

  • @SBLOVESCB

sadly, Sarina it's not. You have no videos, and extensive amount to even get in. The Partnership changed the rules and is now invite only..

  • @Jon3800

How about this Guy: YouTube . com /jimp198bc

  • @SBLOVESCB

his video views are too low. You need at 150,000 video views, not 18,000

  • we got a email for a partnership just for one video not the whole channel

  • @JFTKproductions

    that's good

  • I made two videos that people don't like and one has around 12,000 views and the other has arond 68,000 but it gets like 1,00 every day. I this good?

  • @electrocat1, I mean around 1,000 views every day.

  • @electrocat1

    yes this is good

  • @Jon3800, yay!

  • its hard to not get hacked if someones really out to get you, but you could save your videos on your computer so that if you do get hacked, you can just reupload them

  • you know how you say it has to be YOUR video?? but how come channels like machinima have other people upload videos to their channel and still get partnered?

  • @TheSmogProductions

machinima has a dedicated site...if you want to be partnered...you do need permission form the author of the video to use it.

  • @Jon3800 oh yeah we ask people to upload videos to us and only do it if they want to...and we have our own website =]....thanks for clearing it up for me man, you rock =]

  • I have 15,000 upload views and only 41 subbers

  • @legosword89

    congrats

  • @Jon3800 thanks. and it's all because of this video that I made that everyone hates and yet it has 10,000 of that 15,000 views

  • @legosword89

great job. You'll get popular soon enough whether people like it or not. Keep up the good work

  • @Jon3800 thank you very much that means a lot

  • you DO Not have to have over 50 videos. I have seen people get in with less that 10 videos. All you need is an average of 1,000 views per video.

  • @MrStuckyJ

The over 50 videos is for people that are less popular than others. It takes a long time to get noticed. You don't necessarily 1000 views per video, because when I applied it ranged from 100 to 8000.

  • i know people on youtube who do reviews & completely fit the qualifications to become partners but have copyright issues cause they feature info of what they review is there a way to do any reviews w/out copyright stuff PLEASE ANSWER

  • @Aphraux

    depends on what reviews

  • @Jon3800 movie & video game reviews

  • @Aphraux

I'd probably stick to game reviews

  • Hi um a guy became a partner with only 4000 video views, 83 subs, and 9000 channel views, I'm not even sure the video was that original, how does this work ?

  • @DrpatfearNG

one 1 particular video or is a full fledged one? If he is a full fledge, hes very lucky

  • @Jon3800 just one

  • @DrpatfearNG

they do it because a video is popular. Nothing to do with the channel at all

  • uh... well when i put up a video it like never shows up when i try searching it later

  • PLEASE ANSWER!

On my "Account" there is a yellow sentence says: "You have videos that may contain content that is owned by someone else. Please review these videos."

So, if I want to become a partner I MUST to delete those videos?

  • yes, this is copyrighted and you have to delete it...upload your own videos. Do not take videos from another source or put music in them

  • shane dawson swears in his videos and he is a partner?

  • You can swear but cant as much anymore. Shane Dawson is a bad example how partners should act. Companies look at your videos before they slap their advertisements, and if you swear every few seconds, it doesn't sit well

  • I know some people who only have 1 account with literally 5 subscribers, only a couple hundred upload views, shit content and yet they have ads on their channel and videos. How the fuck are they doing this?

  • if the vids suddenly become popular, youtube may ask to put on adverts on that specific video, so they are not true partners

  • But how can a video be popular if it's been up for 6 months and it only has 50 or 60 views? which is the case for some of them. There must be another way they are doing it.

  • this I do not know.

  • @downhome7500 there are two reasons

they may have got more than 1000 views in a particular video in a short period after the upload times and Youtube will ask you to enable ADs on it, this happens if your account has no copyright infringment

reason 2, they may have emmbed other partnered video in their channel, so they have ads in them

  • I just dont like seeing the eyes and stuff

  • I have arachnophobia lol

  • with all due respect of the turantula thing, most people, like me, have a phobia of arachnids. otherwise i totally respect this video and it helped a lot

  • am i close to getting a partnership? plz tell me?

  • Since I do NOT work for youtube, what I am about to say is only my opinion. It doesn't mean you'll automatically qualify.

If you go to the application page (see my 3rd partner video), you'll see a message saying whether or not you qualify.

In any case, you have original views but you need more video views. Try not to upload too many game trailer. Please note there's certain countries that aren't available and you do have to be a certain age

  • Hey dude, I've been watching your partner videos, and do you think I would be eligible? I have 493 subscribers, 133,958 video views(I know that's short of the 200,000 mark) , 33,206 channel views, and 47 videos uploaded atm, and the content I make is in HD.

  • as long as you stay original you are fine

  • Shane dawson swears, uses audio that is not his, and has gotten a metric BUTTLOAD of flags and warnings. Yet he is stil a partner. Why?

  • don't know. You have to ask him

  • @umarcusstudios because lots and lots of people watch him and subscribe to him

he is a very very popular youtuber

  • i have quite a few videos from a while ago which have copyrighted music in them will that effect me becoming a partner ??

  • yes it will if you still have them on your channel

  • DO YOU THINK I CAN BECOME A PARTNER!!

  • The songs you used in the vids are gonna be a problem. Youtube wants you to create your own videos and stand out to the community.

  • whose gordon sparks? o.O

idk but hes not well known in my universe....o.O

  • Jordan Sparks

  • its awesome that u respond to like all comments.

  • thanks man, always happy to help

  • How about posting some old cartoons is that a copyright?

  • unfortunately it is

  • your soooo cool <33

  • hey do you think i could become one

  • I just looked at your channel after you submitted a personal message...im sorry but you can't become a partner solely music with written lyrics. This is not suitable for the following reasons:

    1) Youtube is policing music like crazy, they do not like partners using music

    2) its not original and creative, since it's not your video content, and you don't own the rights to the video. It's Davedays unless he gives you exclusive permission to use it.

  • being original is not hard.

Simply record yourself doing what you do best and not put any background music.. I made other youtube partner videos, this one is outdated and vague compared to part 7

  • jon3800 i have 356 subscribers i have 9,899 and i have 106,125 video views

  • congrats

  • @jon3800 I don't know if your gonna read this but It never hurts to ask lets say you have 12 videos and there combine view count is over 1 million and you take them all of and only post one video just to try and apply for partner will it work or will the views get taken away? thanks for your time man

  • In my honest opinion, you can apply, but you'll have a hard time getting accepted for 1 video. The more creative and original videos you have, the better chance you have and the more money you make. I don't understand why you would eliminate 11 videos, but when you delete the 11 videos, the numbers will drop on your channel page, but i will not drop when go to your account details

  • @jon3800 well let me re fraise my question lets say you put up a video like a lady gaga performence that you know isin't yours but you just wanted a lot of views and you got like 400,000 views from it then before you went to apply for partner you deleted that video and you had about 40 other videos of let's say video games with commentary like Let's Plays I hope you understand my question then man

  • You still will have a hard time, because youtube is aware of videos that were uploaded and deleted.

As I said in the How To Become a Youtube Partner Video : 6 and 7, for gaming, you really want to stray away from it. The commentary in your videos have to be of educational/instructional background, and it must be minimal.

  • Me again, If I were to do a video, like how you feed your tarantulas , except with snakes, would this be unoriginal?

  • provided if you dont embed music in them, sure its good

  • @Jon3800 thanks

  • Becoming a partner? Yeah, it's a way to let Google put much more of his stupid shits of announcements and create this account and that account all for Google.

    Too much interests are here..

And WTF.. so.. you are Italian and you cannot be a partner? Thanks a lot.

  • wow calm down man, you make money off your videos and it let's you upload 11+ min videos. You don't have to put the ads on if you want to.

And i've seen some partners that were Italian..so take your frustration on google, not on me.

  • I was referring to Google, not to you of course.

  • oh ok sorry :) but try applying . The video is old so there's bound to have been changes so Italy might be a part of it

  • Do you think I should apply..?

What if for this YT suspends me..? Can it happen..?

  • youtube cannot suspend your account for that.

  • It already did twice and now I am so scared...*sigh*

  • you can only be suspended if you don't follow their guidelines, like videos that are extremely violent, some sort of abuse...

  • Jon, I've been subbed to you for awhile, but anyways, I have to ask, if I make one of my music videos with 19k views private, will that still count as copyright on my account, or do I have to delete it, losing views?

  • youtube will have access to your private vids

  • So that means I have to delete the video, doesn't it.. : (?

  • its okay if its only one video, but don't any upload more. The majority of your videos have to be your own.

  • Okay, thanks, because that IS my most viewed video, and as a matter of fact, it's the only one available to the public, what I was saying in another way was, I have like 7 videos with copyright on them, if I made those completely private for my eyes to see only, will I still be eligible, because I made them to where I have to give the URL out in order for people to see, which I haven't, I was just wondering, can I keep it, or do I delete, losing views.

    Thanks again,

    William

  • William

if I were you, I would delete some of them but not all, and if you get one do not enable revenue sharing on those. When you file an application, youtube has access to all your videos, public or private. You cannot post too many music videos, because you don't own the contents of the music, and therefore its not your video. Youtube sees this as copyright infringement, so they might either put it as a notice or ask you to remove it.

  • your video views on your your channel page might decrease but not on your "Account" menu. I've been hacked twice, the first time I lost about 600 videos, I reuploaded some and made entirely new ones, the views on my channel say I have 560k, but on my account, im just over 927k

  • Whats a google ad sense account?

  • it monitors your revenue sharing that you make on google ads.

  • hi me again, I have seen people use copyrighted material not even owning it ,even got a copyright claim filed against them, and they are still partners, why?

  • I don't why. If they are using copyright material, there should not be any ads that appear at the bottom of the video

  • @Jon3800 I didn't mean they had the ads they just got the partnership

  • I know, but they should have the ads that appear at the bottom of the video when they upload these types of vids

  • @Jon3800 oh they do , i'm saying they get the banner, the featured people, the over 10 minutes mark.

  • partners that submit videos that do not have exclusive permission for revenue sharing can get it revoked

  • Do we really need 50 videos? Can't we just have like 20 with alot of views?

  • you can have as much as you need. This info in this video is very much outdated. I updated the information in part 7. You need at least 10-20 good, popular and original (one you make and you own the content) videos. Don't pull stuff from other people and claim it as you're own, you'll never get it.

  • woho sweden

  • Bit depressed that it's apparently so hard to become a partner with video game reviews. I have just over 900 subscribers now and I've sworn approximately four times since the beginning of 2009 (and three of those time were in my last review). I made an adsense account and applied for partnership about a week ago but apparently it's still being processed.

I'd really love a partnership just so I don't have to keep cutting minutes from my videos. I know they're meant to be snappy but its notmy way.

  • Hi i use some copyrighted marital but it was in fair use such as parody and sampling does this count?

  • not really because you won't be able to partner them

  • k kewl, but can you use copyright material as a partner and just not get paid for that particular video?

  • I wouldn't because they may revoke it

  • I have seen people that do not use anything but rule 11, also people under 18, that are still partners. y is this?

  • they have someone older apply for them

  • cool thanks, but also I have see people who are very unoriginal ( Irate Gamer for example ) become partners, does youtube check dates of when material is put up or what?

  • Irate gamer is original, he does review games with effects, and he got his partnership early because no one had done this at the time. I personally favor AVGN over him. Youtube checks for material content before they put up ads, not dates

  • great vid to be honest i didnt even know what a youtube partner ship was until i only made my vids to help people 5/5

  • some of the partners are shit!!!! like fred his videos are fucking crap so come on jjjclarky4 and ben10topgear should be parners!!!!

  • The only reason Fred is a partner because his videos are original and unlike any other videos on youtube. That's the number criteria for the program

I checked both of their channels. Their not likely to get a partnership. Most of their videos aren't their own creative content.

  • k but there are bettter ppl that fred i can find mills of ppl who should be 1!!!! unlike that pcwizkid he never ever replys 2 comentts hes a fuc*ing twa* lol

  • lol, you have to expect that. Once people become partners, they tend to get power over their heads and not even care for the fans. Why do you think Fred or nigahiga never reply to users. I am one of the few partners that actually responds
