I think you are being too hasty about planting. I have been reading that even after the pile has cooked, you have to let it sit for several weeks to mature. The process of composting uses oxygen. If you plant in immature compost, it will steal oxygen from the plant and kill the plant. Worms don't like hot compost. Great video, though.
