it technically uses lanses with mirrors to get the licht passtrough to resamble 3d.

This is more like 3 x 2D, multilayer 2D. Pretty cool and could be added cheaply to just about anything with a screen though. Probably no problem doing the same on ipad or any other tablet if the hood is adapted for bigger size

I'm not sure if it will create a new era in 3d viewing tech. You only get 3 planes of depth in the expense of 2/3 of the image size. Disadvantages aside though, it's a pretty neat effect.
