@philipjterry Our converter reads what you name your layers according to our Layer Naming Conventions. Check out our Documentation on our website and it'll tell you which names you need!
Interesting. I'd prefer to design my own web site with photoshop from the the ground up. So, what are the important layer tags if you already have a web site in the works with content and want to redign the theme? Underscore text perhaps. And the layers are simply a mask. (I watched the gimp tutorial on PSD to CSS.) Super fun.
If a layer contains _drupal it is imported as a content type? How does it know what type? For navigation menu I would save a layer as navigation_drupal?
Hi shaun, could you check wether your psd2cssonline tool for drupal themes works with the most recent drupal version? Because, it doesn't seem to work anymore, I can only see my backgrond image. Though, it worked perfectly a couple of months ago (with older drupal version), so I know how to manage it. And recently, I also found some people with exactly the same problem. Please advise.
@Jerrykeeeuuuh we have not found any issues with the current Drupal Version. What exactly is the issues with uploading the themes. We recently found a lot of issues with people adding features that are not out of the box turned on with Drupal but have yet to see any other issues.
@psd2cssonline I already found the problem :). I do not have a premium account. So the psd2css tool only works for 2 weeks after registration. My mistake, I must have missed that. But it's a bit pitty that, after 2 weeks, you can still use the psd2css tool (it still generates a theme) but it doens't work properly. Maybe it is possible to give a message after those 2 weeks, or disable the tool. Nevertheless, keep up the good work! Great job.
@Jerrykeeeuuuh ah ha... well it should notify you that you are using a premium feature... looks like you found a small bug that we need to fix =) thanks and good luck!
your putting the theme's in an area that is not recommended, in case of updates to drupal. you should place them in sites/all/themes (you will have to make the folder i believe)
One thing: Themes that are not part of Drupal itself go into sites/all/themes/ (not themes/).
Some themes will partially break being put into the root themes directory. Putting a custom theme in the root themes directory also makes Drupal harder to upgrade.
I'm not sure how you would get those words there. Unless you are talking about the module administration page in Drupal - they put the names of the sections there. Have you visited other pages after installing the theme?
Width of the page... is that different than the width of the PSD design? The width of the page will be dictated directly - pixel for pixel - by the width of the design. Can you explain more? Or if you have other Drupal features that you would like to see added - please let me know about those too! Thanks!
Yep this is useful but what about all those custom features like theme settings that really make a theme. Could you add some of them like width of the page?
I am just renewing my Drupal based site and theme was giving my a headache. I will use your tutorial and then I will fix some stuff using ccs injector. Thanks man.
this is AMAZING! lol u just made my life a LOT simpler! but i got a few questions. i noticed in this vid when u had the primary links part IN the PSD itself, it wasn't a "filled" rectangle. it still had the squares to stretch it. is that necessary, or could you make it a field just like the rest?
I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. Any of the _drupal layers only denote the size and placement of the DIV that ultimately contains the content provided by Drupal. In fact the actual art in a _drupal layer will be _replaced_ with the Drupal content so it doesn't matter what color it is or what it looks like - just what size and position it is. Let me know if that doesn't answer your question -- Shaun

Hi Shaun
Do we have to name the layers in a certain way or can we name them what we want?

this is only let's say 10% in creating a drupal theme. the power of the theme is in all hooks and functions you provide.
mig10k 1 year ago 2
@mig10k We would totally disagree as we have a number of features associated with making a full Drupal theme with all the hooks that would be needed.

Be interesting to see if this tool can make more advanced themes such as multiple regions etc.

I'm struggling to get this to work. It just comes out as blank page with all the text messed up and not spaced out. What could I have done wrong?
