Well, sort of, but the PPP of $250 back then was a lot more. In 1980 you could buy a car with 10 oz of gold, as it was worth $850 an ounce, which is $2200 in current dollars. Gold has still yet to make up for its losses in 1988.

That is the real Andy Scott, believe or not. At the time he was one of the many 70s stars new to 80s video music wave. I'm still on the fence with it, neither here nor there. But anything with Andy is worth a look or twice.

You can tell this is mid-80s, check out the fashions, ugh! Love the reference to Blockbuster in the beginning. That dude flipping coins around in his fingers is creepy as hell. Never saw this video before, though. Interesting.
