  • why you have to compare them? each one was really good musician in his way.

  • JImmy es una guitarrista mas del monton, no tiene nada que ver con su hermano, y esta en los esenarios por eso mismo :/

  • wow this is gay. sorry Stevie.

  • 8 People are just full of SHIT!

  • love this :))

  • now that fucking rock...any fucking questions

  • The backing vocalists are a trip

  • now this is rockin!

  • MAAAAN, THAT SONG MARKED MY CHILDHOOD!

  • The groove is at 2:05ish...JLV getting it done.

  • i couldn't carry a tune in a bucket but i still like srv and jimmy

  • ok, here ya go, ,love the CD "Jimmie Vaughan" Plays blues, ballad and favorites. I am not a musician , far from it, but I know what I like. I Love this CD. I haven't been a fan for long.. I didn't know or hear "J" since this year. I missed him in Des Moines, Iowa, in March. It was my birthday and that is what I wanted as a present, listening to JV @ the blue club. Alas it wasn't to be. Hope you get back to DM, Ia so I can try again,.,....a new fan, MLou...

  • @frogbert05

Welcome to the Family: Jimmie has a style and vibe that is totally unique and pays honor to the Classic Vintage Blues more than any contemporary artist around. He excels at surrounding himself with the best musicians in the business. On this video you get THREE TEXAS TORNADOES for the price of one with Jimmie fronting Denny Freeman on Guitar and George Raines on drums. Now go check out his Thunderbirds stuff!!

  • Ohhh lordie! Havin a good time on purpose!!!

  • And this is why I love this guy!

  • (Ignoring the idiot) Its great to see JV getting his due props .... loved him since the Fab Tbirds!

  • FUCK JIMMY. the wrong vaughan brother died.

  • @vincebertsch moron..if it weren't for older bro jimmie, srv would have been a chef...idiot..be glad he was with us as long as he was and glad jimmie wasn't a trumpet player

  • @vincebertsch arrogance, stupidity and coldness in the same sentence. They are both fantastic bluesmen, Why the fuck would you say something like that? Stevie would most likely strangle you if he heard you talkin like that.

  • @vincebertsch Vince, at one show. Stevie and his band were waiting to go on. Jimmy was playing on stage at the time. He told his band "Sshhh. Listen to that. That's my brother playing". I don't know if you're ignorant, stupid or looking for attention. Really a wrong comment to make about the Vaughan's, period. Grow up

  • @racorbin hey can you send me the download. illl give you my email.please!!!

  • that is a hot guitar

  • Wow, strats sound like toys and have sutain of a banjo!

  • @Snotra only in the hands of monkeys who can´t get a note out of them !

  • Wow, I wish I could dance like that,

  • Jimmie Vaughn and Denny Freeman together, two killer players. I love Stevie Ray but Jimmie is sooo cool a player.. Denny Freeman I believe is working with Dylan now. This video is a treat.

  • @brynttr As good as it gets: a stage full of Texas Tornadoes fronted by Jimmie Lee Vaughan with a b3 throwing down the Bass Line! Sweet Soul Vibe!!

  • thank you for loading it up .

  • Really tight boogie shuffle + back beat - I love it when a plan comes together...

  • It's a pitty that young musicians can't see what really matters in music... you don't have to play fast to be great... in fact, I think it's much more difficult to know what you DON'T have to do while playing. Amazing great vid, thanks a lot for posting.

  • look at those jiggaboos dance!!!

  • Jimmjy rules!

    he play with everybody!

  • man,, after the 5 minute mark,,, Jimmie is wailing on the guitar,, and the 3 background singers look like they just hit the million dollar lotter.

  • Yup I've seen Jimmie Vaughan play a lot in Austin. Love living in Austin, Couldn't think of a better place. I could do without the traffic though heh.

  • Along with Billy G, Jimmie is the coolest guitar player alive...period.

  • Can't beat that tight performance!

  • just love it

  • just love it

  • great number, makes you want to get up and shake you booty rich m

  • great song and nice to see jimmie

  • This was hands down the best version of the Tilt-a-Whirl band. Denny on guitar and piano, Bill on B3, George on drums and Briz and the boys singing backup.

  • I saw him live with this band several times. Jimmie and Stevie had similar techniques but their styles are very different. Stevie was right, Jimmie never shows you everything he can do. Every show was different ... a great display of a genius and his guitar.

  • i am a lame-assed, tone-deaf, idiot but i still like both of the vaughns and so does my 4 year old daughter.

  • Am I the only one who only knows this song from Major League 2? My favorite song from the movie by the way

  • who is the other guitarist?

  • Saw him in '98, good show, Jimmie will always be one of my fav guitar players.

  • Aaarrrrggggg... ¡qué rollazo tiene Vaughan! Y los coristas... na', qué salero ayyyy!!! jejejejeje

  • @ouhyeahcomeon Noted, but it boils down to personal taste I guess..

  • They don't get any cooler than Jimmie.

  • Great video. I just saw that Jimmy was at the 2010 Crossroads. I grew up near him and Stevie, and love those guys. Jimmy carries the torch for everything music should be and he is a legend. I liked the T-Birds, but Jimmy was the reason I listened to those guys.

  • Taste

  • apparently jimmie and stevie both developed there styles in competition with each other

  • saw this band with backup singers, funnest band ever on top of the badness.

  • those backup singers are absolutely rediculous.

  • la GRANDE classe

  • I like jimmie.

  • 12 bar at its very best , eat your heart out ,

  • This is the "local talent" down in Austin. When y'all come down to 6th Street, get ready to JAM!!!! Great stuff from Jimmy Vaughn! Turn it up!

  • @greattoucan and Jimmie pulls out the granddaddy of Texas guitar licks @ 5:08 at exactly the perfect time.

  • @racorbin oh yeah 5.08 rock on

  • @racorbin Could someone ''''please''' kill those dancers?

  • @racorbin I think he started at about 4:44 but whatever the time you are right!

  • @racorbin And that sleazy slow bend at 5:26 ... the man is always on the button.

  • Thanks racorbin for posting this. "Now THAT'S Rock 'n' Roll"

  • I love that riff at 5:09! :D

  • I almost forgot... Happy birthday, Jimmie!

  • Gotta love those backup singers!!!

    XD

  • come on now children, excellant road house blues in spades, dancers and all, gimmee another bourbon, and rock on jimmy.

  • Jimmys great the best around even with the thunderbirds. get the cds folks you'll enjoy them.

  • @Jedi762 You are just an Idiot. You can't measure who is the best player in the world.

  • this Stevie VS. Jimmie crap is just pointless.Enjoy both.

  • @Jedi762 Of course he can't play guitar like Stevie. No one can play guitar like Stevie because he HAD HIS OWN STYLE. Just like Jimmie has his own voice on the guitar and so on. Also, Jimmie found his own fame with the Fabulous Thunderbirds and on his own.

  • Comment removed

  • @Jedi762 You are motherfucker idiot. I think you are typical typical stupid and dumb american. He has come to feel fully supported own achievement. 6564Joel is right. He is certainly a good guy.

  • Read the caption people. Stop bickering. That isn't Stevie. His name is Denny Freeman. And their is no animosity between the two brothers that I know of. They are competitive, but in a friendly good way. Both inspiring and challenging each other to "Dualing Guitars" to always become better and better.

  • Jimmy at his very best!!!!!

  • WOW this is awesome song and those three vocalist are perfect xD

  • Comment removed

  • Are you Crazy? Jimmie has his own carrer and style. He plays and sing very different of his little brother! First of all, he doesn't use a pick, if you don't realize.

    VV

  • you are right, but sometimes Stevie uses his fingers with a pick, together

  • Ok, but, as you said, "sometimes". Jimmie has a total different style! He doesn't even remeber SRV. They are borthers, but not the same person!

  • I agree.

  • @prmmartins You might notice that in this particular performance he is using a pick.

  • it looks like he has a pick

  • well said Pre00...this is one of my favorite jimmie clips

  • those chorus guys are on fire

  • I love them

  • this is srv's brother? wow awesome

  • When Jimmie left the Fabulous Thunderbirds 2 guitarists had to be hired to match what was missing from the band.

  • Saw Jimmie play with this band, early 90's here in Vancouver.

It was so excellent! Punchy and tight, what a show!

  • SWEET! and the fellas in the back was havin some church!!! Awesome! thanks for posting this version!

  • Good stuff.

  • ...plus, anyone who can wear white-tipped goucho boots and a greasy ducktail haircut in this day and age is just too fucking cool

  • @Pre00

Oh yeah, he's a cool guy.

  • Jimmie is regarded by the music industry as one of the best blues guitarists to ever play..he won a silly old grammy for it too..as SRV once said, Jimmie plays about 1/10 of what he really knows..his rythmn is better than most drummers..his style is less-is-more, the perfect note at the perfect time or playing slightly off the beat..hard to learn..he is a guitarist's hero..i've been playing 30yrs, he is my fav along with SRV..if you don't get Jimmie's music, you're a lame ass tone deaf idiot.

  • @Pre00 i'm with you on that one!

  • @Pre00 Amen brother couldn't have put it better myself!!!!!

  • @Pre00 : I was with you up until the lame-ass part. I just try to be nice, is all. But yeah, I hear all sorts of people put down Jimmie for being too rough, playing off the beat, etc., and I think, man, listen to him. He is making the exact sound that's in his head come out of that ax, and he wobbles around the beat like nobody since Lightnin' Hopkins. Some of my favorite SRV licks are ones that echo Jimmie's laid-back wailin'

  • @Pre00 Coulnd´t say it better myself !

  • @Pre00 Coulnd´t say it better myself !

And Denny F at 2.35 2.36 ... cooooool little lick .. me gustaaaaaaa

  • @Pre00 I have much to learn from this man

  • Respond to this video... Denny at times has a Robert Cray tone on that guitar....very nice

  • @RythmandStrings

In reality you might say Robert Cray has a Jimmie Vaughan tone on his Guitar. Jimmie was cooking the Roadhouse Blues years before Robert came on the scene. Both favorites of mine.

  • dudes this is the roadhouse defined, rock on you fuckin bad ass jimmie

  • herrinian Jimmy has a much different style of playing. Jimmy was a finger picker like country players the sound and style are very different. Jimmy is a dam good guitar player

  • Love The video! Jimmie is awesome!

  • Jimmie is THE MAN !

  • I really don't get what the big deal is about Jimmie. His brother is the shit, but I really don't think he is anything special. There are countless better guitar players and singers. SRV whips his big brother's ass.

  • I saw this guy for FREE last night in Austin. Lova ya, Jimmie.

  • génial , j adore jimmie

  • LORD, have mercy!

  • This right here is Jimme on fire.

    Shit.

As much as I love his brother, big brother clearly shows who's who here.

  • Haha I agree. I love Stevie Ray, he is my idol. But Jimmie definitely has more experience.

  • Exactly.

Glad to see someone who can enjoy both ;)

  • I'm glad you can too :)

  • Thx Jimmie! you a top man!

  • jimmie burns it up!!!

    great song and guitar!

    god bless the vaughan brothers!

  • Great song. Jimmie Vaughan's one of the greatest guitarists ever.

  • not even close

  • Reply to herrinian: I agree that Stevie is the shit (who wouldn't) because I'am a huge SRV fan, and I listen to alot more of his music, but his brother deserves a lot of credit too. Jimmie just has a different style of guitar playing but in my opinion he is an awesome guitarist.

  • dude, they have two different styles... it really doesn't pay to go on and on comparing musicians... music is not a competitive sport... it's a matter of taste ...

  • herrinian, what are you doing watching a video by a "mediocre" artist , as you say...? I would call SRV's style exuberant-badass-showoff , and Jimmie's classy and understated feeling... by the way, he taught SRV how to play... check out the T-Birds early albums and get a schoolin ( I recommend Running Shoes if you think Jimmie is mediocre...) anyway... we know the truth, you obviously don't... and you know what ? that's ok...

  • and you know what ? that's your opinion and you're entitled to that...music is about connecting and feeling, you don't get him, no bigguie... I, on the other hand, am part of a legion of people that get his special talent... I really like his music... that's ok, we don't all have to like the same things...

  • i feel ya

  • by the way, you DID click on one of his videos, though... think about that... ;-)

  • cuz ur not

  • COOL!!

  • Fantastic performance, incredible guitar solo at the end, one of my absolute favourites!:-)

  • Great performance Jimmie did an awesome solo at the end his brother would be proud of if he were here BRAVO

  • Denny did an album in the 80s that Jimmie played on. It featured two awesome solos by Jimmie, one on 6 string bass and the other on lap steel. My buddy had the vinyl but lost it in a fire.

  • Great song, thanks for the upload!

  • Denny Freeman wrote the song and he is the freaking lead. Go see his videos. watch the angela streli and kim wilson video and guess who the second guitar is. jimmie and denny played back in dallas when they were in high school . jimmies little bro was not out of grade school. later he grew up and was freemans 2nd...wonder where he learned his stuff ?

  • Good info, thanks dude.

  • I love this song.
