the ending with his face on the big TV screen while she's on the stage is symbolic for him watching over her and smiling at all her progress.

the fact that we care that he died indicates that we cared about him, we cared about her, and that we cared about them together, otherwise it would've been easy to let it go and it wouldn't have made a difference. we don't agree with the outcome, which means it served its purpose. Because You Loved Me fits with the movie so freakin well! it should've won the Academy Award and the Golden Globe! i know audiences and critics preferred Evita over this one but You Must Love Me is just so damn boring!

I had heard so much good things about this movie. Yet i was very disappointed. It seems to be part of the string of movies that women love and rave about. Yet when you watch the movie, its long, boring and has no real feel to it. i give the movie a 7 out of 10.
