Genes amazing and he alone should handle all vocals in my opinion. Paul is just so overall bad and I hate ALL his songs, just like listening to gene. Peter too was great and a rare and great voice.
I love kiss they are amazing. They played really tight on this song. I saw them in december and they were AWESOME. They played in an arena when i saw them though

It is his feel though that makes him great. Tommy lacks feel. In my opinion Bruce Kulick is the best all around KISS has had. He had great technique, and had a good feel. However, Ace has been, is, and always will be my favorite.

it's just that i've noticed that in kiss videos in general, the camera men seem to have a hard-on for gene simmons. he might be the most visually striking member, but he's not a great musician, so i like to see the other band members too.
Destroyer was my first KISS album I bought when I was 12. I miss the glory days as much as anybody, but folks, this is KISS now. Ace and Peter ain't coming back. So to borrow some lyrics, you have to love 'em or leave 'em. Can't keep living 30 years in the past.

They already tried to do the Hawk, with Eric Carr. It came out looking like a giant chicken. Carr said that if he came out in that costume and people threw bottles at him, he wouldn't blame them. Personally, I like seeing the cat and spaceman up there.
I would say the "new" guys don't do that bad! But in every band there is nothing like the original line-up! (For ex. Queen what are they without Freddie and John?)

I don't mind Tommy, but the more I listen the more I realise that the feeling just isn't the same. Tommy can't replicate the vibrato Ace uses.

it's just that i've noticed that in kiss videos in general, the camera men seem to have a hard-on for gene simmons. he might be the most visually striking member, but he's not a great musician, so i like to see the other band members too.

Destroyer was my first KISS album I bought when I was 12. I miss the glory days as much as anybody, but folks, this is KISS now. Ace and Peter ain't coming back. So to borrow some lyrics, you have to love 'em or leave 'em. Can't keep living 30 years in the past.

ace and peter were too old to keep up the pace of a world tour so they gave it up. Although ACE now has a solo tour. Ace and Gene just dont get along.

I thought Eric Carr's "Fox" makeup looked really cool. I think I may have seen a photo or two of the awful "Hawk" makeup. As for Singer and Thayer donning the "Cat" and "Spaceman" personas, It's o.k. but would still love to see the originals one last time in concert!

Eric Singer is a damned solid drummer tho. he just plays so effortlessly. he was in the Alice Cooper band before joining KISS :) & he looks good in the Cat face.

They already tried to do the Hawk, with Eric Carr. It came out looking like a giant chicken. Carr said that if he came out in that costume and people threw bottles at him, he wouldn't blame them. Personally, I like seeing the cat and spaceman up there.

Although, I agree with you. Without Ace KISS wouldn't of been what they are you need to accept the fact he's gone and I don't know why you can't just love KISS no matter what. In my opinion you're not a fan if you say they are a "lie" after oen member is gone. I am a huge DEF LEPPARD fan and just because Steve Clark died in 1991 and people say they lost their hard rock roots after that, I'm still a fan of them...a huge one at that!
