Both should be disciplined: This is summed up by one word: professionalism. Nobody needs to be pushed around: politely ask her to stop and MOVE away... for those that want to call me a fag-- I am, and if a guy was doing the same thing I would do the same thing. This behavior is not appropriate in uniform: if you doubt that-- you don't deserve to wear the uniform. It's too easy!!

It is a common aspect of Carnival to see this. It is like going to England and taking video or pictures when trying to make the Bobbies laugh. This is no big deal and, if you understood the culture, should not result in disciplinary action.

This is actually showing the NYPD in the best light possible. Unfortunately, I have been present when NYPD make disparagingly racists remarks about Brooklyn Carnival; not understanding the culture. This wining scene also takes place in Trinidad with the same repsonse of officers either not responding or dancing somewhat; it is always humorous and not taken seriously; on either part.
