The Northeast Blackout of 2003 was a widespread power outage that occurred throughout parts of the Northeastern and Midwestern United States and Ontario, Canada on Thursday, August 14, 2003, just before 4:10 p.m. EDT (UTC−04).[1] At the time, it was the second most widespread blackout in history, after the 1999 Southern Brazil blackout.[2][3] The blackout affected an estimated 10 million people in Ontario and 45 million people in eight U.S. states.
two parallel worlds cross (which I think is a mistake), one where Claire gets killed 2 hours before the bombe and then dropped onto the shore to pretend she was part of the explosion. The other is where she gets saved by Carlin and she heals him up at her place. So at the beginning of the movie, Carlin finds Claires dead body but also finds bloody cloths at Claires place which was used to heals Carlin. She cant heal Carlin if she died before he got shot to try and save her
ik to most people this makes no sense but trust me it is true. well the film isn't but the einstien-rosen bridge aka worm hole theorem is a real idea and maybe in the far future we could acess this bridge. so its not impossible. they thoughts planes were impossible in the 19th century. but only 200 years later and we can not only fly but sent robots to mars! :)
@2010Barbon like how light waves--or sound waves-- are always traveling through space, always bouncing. He means as if everything happening is a wave.
You're such children. How fuckin simple does science have to be presented for the fuckwits in the us? An you cunts have to introduce your silly superstitions into everything don't ya?
So the partner's car was there coz he went there & got murdered.
Funny they try to pull that Denzel is who proposes th experiment (sending back the paper). I'm sure any scientist would've thought & tried that!
So what happened is that both versions of history coexisted at the same time, like the "radical" mentioned it could happen - but she also said the original would propbably cease to exist (what didn't happen).
science badly explained, but who cares, it's a movie.
It makes sense if you believe in a multiverse the many worlds interpretation they should have mentioned that in this movie to make in less confusing when he asked is she died or alive?????? she was killed in dougs home universe he saved her doppelganger in a parallel universe!!!!!!!!!!
there not looking into there own past there looking into the past of a different universe great movie by the way
Light and it's reflection (i.e. an image) takes time to travel a certain amount of distance. If you place a powerful telescope in space and make it orbit around the earth so that it stays over the same spot on earth all the time AND at distance equal to that of speed of light multiplied by 4 days (about 1.036 × 10^11km) you should be able to achieve what they show in this movie.
Altho if you place the recorder 4 days away, the data would take another 4 days to get back.
Some of you don't understand that the events of the film are happening on a series of stacked realities where Doug has already gone back and tried (unsuccessfully) to stop the ferry from getting blown up. Essentially, it took him several attempts (each time gaining additional intel) to finally succeed.
LOL! He picked a bad week to stop snorting hash. Denzel had the proper sober minded reaction to seeing this high tech form of sorcery and black arts. Just like a bunch of scientist to sit around and make judgments based on inconclusive or incomplete evidence.
When he explained with the paper, I think what he ment was that, basically, pretend you need to get from north side to south side, you would have to walk the long way across the paper, BUT what the machine does it folds the paper and so halving the distances. It might not help, but it's my guess of what he was trying to say.
true this is a great movie but with more holes than a beggers socks! e.g doug (densel) asks in this scene "is she alive or dead?" and the answer is "she's alive" how the fuck can that be? although if she was dead the movie would be real short!!!!
Ok friend. yeah friend that will help me. right, friends that gonna help me. friend, friend friend, FRIEND!!!, or something like that in Man on Fire right :P
see his partner already found it before they sent the note at the start of the movie and tried to stop it and that is why he died...but they hadnt sent it yet VERY CONFUSING

"Create an Einstein Rosen Bridge otherwise known as a worm hole". Is
that similar to the bridge from this life to the after life in heaven. The chosen
people sure come up with some wacky stuff. I like the movie though. It seems
to me as though it is a melding of the first(and best) Terminator movie with
Enemy of the State which is another good Tony Scott movie.
