I'm sure many people in India are saying the same thing about Americans eating cows. The consumption of dolphins is accepted in the Japanese culture, just as the consumption of cows is accepted in western culture. You'd either have to justify them both or condemn them both, but saying one is OK and the other isn't is hypocritical.

if this is a tradition, then it's a stupid tradition. it has to stop. this started waaay back when your grand grand ancestors didn't know better, now that you know better, you should act as human as you can be. can you really face GOD proudly say that you participated because of the stupid tradition. i'm 12 years old, and i know in my heart that this is wrong. i know the children that are watching feel the same way. as the saying goes, whatever adults do becomes right in the eyes of children.

I just seen a video of one guy cutting an unborn baby out of it's dead mother. I don't care if it's about eating or not. That baby never had a chance. @MrAbbatus Most people in Japan aren't even aware that some of the meat they sell in their supermarkets is dolphin meat, and many of them are not even aware of the killings.
And no, this is no way to kill a dolphin. They are slaughtering them gruesomely, all of them packed together, terrified, watching as those *ssholes spear them to death, and they can't even run away or fight back.
They do this to many whales as well, but I guess you don't care if dolphins or whales become extinct one day.

It may be their culture, but that does not make it right. They are not dolphins, they are whales.
They were a life sustaining meat supply in the winter. The meat was shared equally between the families in the disdrict where they where they were caught.
With some exeptions: Widows (there were many of them) got more i.e.
And that is the way it is still done.
