Now if A sues for divorce and it's proven that B didn't commit the four dealbreaker a's, then it was decided that A was abrogating (or cutting short the contract "till death do us part") then B got custody and the marital assets as suing for divorce for frivolous reasons was seen to make the person the worst parent.
These rules were gender neutral & they worked. Divorces were low.

Some of my great-great... grandmothers couldn't take their kids and leave their abusive husbands because they had no money of their own. They were not in control of their lives. Yes, that's the "theory". The reality is that previous to the hell-on-earth feminist incarnation of no-fault divorce laws (which r really dad-fault) divorce worked under contractual obligation laws:
the four a's: abuse/abandonment/adultery/addiction were seen as violating the marriage contract. If person B sued for divorce and person A was "in violation" then A got child custody and....

correction B got child custody and B also got the lions share of marital assets (and possibly support and alimony).
Now if A sues for divorce and it's proven that B didn't commit the four dealbreaker a's, then it was decided that A was abrogating (or cutting short the contract "till death do us part") then B got custody and the marital assets as suing for divorce for frivolous reasons was seen to make the person the worst parent.
These rules were gender neutral & they worked. Divorces were low.

The general tone of debate on Youtube is to state an opinion without backing it up.Though I have been guilty of this,I try my best not to.There is a method of building an argument that allows us to move slowly to some sort of resolution.What is the rush Wine?I want the things I say to be as close to the truth as possible.Offending people is not an issue(you should see the hate mail I get as it is).Rather it is holding myself to a certain standard.This will be how I continue to debate I'm afraid.

fair point. in actual fact as i think about this, this is YOUR video, not mine. i can agree/disagree/comment on it, but i can hardly expect to dictate its contents! after all, i wouldn't like it if it was the other way around. if this is how you choose to "continue to debate" then that is your basic right.

I support iwentdowntotheriver in his debating method,it is not that he is not taking a stance,or trying not to offend anyone,he is simply choosing his words correctly to best represent his opinions. I know this because I do this myself.People who express their opinions with a LOT of confidence do more talking than thinking. And when there is a hole in their argument, they are screwed because their initial tone means they must support what they said, even if they disagree with what they said.

lol yes i think that's true. i have seen many examples of that myself! the over-confident buffoon? i think my frustration here was only a reaction to River's apparent desire to DEBATE rather than STATE. (the stating of views being the very essence of debate). Maybe, as he intimated, i am in a rush!

The Man With No Name, that's a good movie. I don't watch Sex in the City. I don't watch dramas, I don't watch love stories, I don't watch 'the English Patient' even though I did once, and I only watched Titanic because it included nudity. I just love simple action movies with violence, funny one-liners and no love stories whatsoever. Alright, I'm not sure I got the right idea of what you chose as the definition for 'patriarchy' for our axiom, but I happen to be extremely turned off by masculine women and women who look like men, and I hate the idea of becoming a feminine man. Or perhaps you wish to get rid of 'feminine' and 'masculine' altogether. But what are you going to do with people like me? Educate us into believing that women shouldn't be feminine and men shouldn't be masculine?

A patriarchy is rule by men. Men start wars. Then they say, "Well, when women are on their period, they'll blow up everything!!!" Well, it seems like men are on their period all month. :) Anyway, women still have a heart when they are on their period, and their brain still works properly. A matriarch, shown in history, is more beneficial.

I apoligize if you feel offended. I find your stupid-little-don't-know-much blonde girl to be quite an irritating character, but compared to her opposite, she's the lesser of two evils. I'm not saying what jobs women should do or shouldn't, but I never want to see a woman who looks like a man. I'm also saying it's not alright for men to be girly, emotional, or to have skirts and purses and high heels.
