The twins are called for a strange reason: Lan and Hub.

It makes much sense, and I have to admit nice work on the names. There are not other names that can fit to the game "Battle network". Since Lan is a human he connects his PET with a LAN. And I don´t know much about Hub but isn´t that mostly a port? Anyway badass names!!

@stayles1990 These are the english names you know? Lan is called in the Jap versions Netto and Hub is called Saito, but I think I understand now why they renamed them. =)
