Brony is made up of Bro- and Pony. Not being a brony doesnt make you not part of the herd, community, or fanbase. It's like saying that we shouldn't refer to men as males and women as females because its demeaning and segregation, because we are all part of the human race.

@BlueXCanary The label "pegasister" doesn't "promote segregating". It's more of a response to the fact that the label brony does carry the implication of maleness for a lot of people. In fact the idea that "brony" is an applicable or desirable label regardless of gender stems from the cultural idea of maleness as the default.

If you want to be called a brony that's fine, but it's not fair to those who do prefer pegasister to say "it is demeaning to our kind".
