@MultiWolfproductions You would probably know better about than I would. I use LightWave to model and render. I do very little to none animation/rigging.
LW has a tool in the primitives tab called superquadric... hit the 'n' key to bring up the numeric window and adjust as you see fit. delete half the polys, extend those points out and mirror the entire obj. your 7 minute chain link just became a 13sec masterpiece.
nice tutorial, it was good Thank you. Can you please make a tutorial of making hair on a character plzz, i so badly want to know how to, find it really dfficult to make. Please can you?
Thanks for the tut...how about rigging the chain so that the links act separtely from each link? applying bones to make it move?

making a chain link is much simpler-- make a toroid, select half, and stretch the middle
jncojess 1 year ago
or you could just go to primiatives > more >toroid...

Wouldn't Rail extrude or stretch after a Lathe have been faster?
Jlowe258 4 years ago
Never tried it, I've always done it this way.

To use the lathe tool was my first thought - also, that would give you a nice regular "roundness".
