  • Check out Leangains, its an entire nutrition/training routine built on fasted training. I'd like to hear what you think about it.

  • I agree. Performance IS subjective, but the physiological aspects are spot-on true. You've actually improved our subjective freedoms, as we are more likely to go train fasted now that we know it's not harmful than before. (I still prefer fed, and I do wait a shit ton of time). Loving your videos, by the way. It's not as shallow as some other youtube channels that give the same tips over and over again without barely or no scientific explanation at all. Keep up the good work. Spread the NBB word.

  • cardio empty stomach in the morning burn more body fat?

  • @MacPr0xnxx0 Fat loss is dictated by the size of one's calorie deficit.

  • So basically in my case. My keto diet is the same every single day. So fasted or not im still burning the same amount of cals at the end of the day

  • I agree with with your video. Only, most people I've talked to about fasted training thinks it's amazing after a couple of weeks.

  • "IT WORKS FOR ME" lol! just kidding! I trained fasted for years and felt great, in fact, I think my energy and strength levels were just as good as when I trained well fed maybe even better.

I was doing 30 min of cardio pre-workout and then hitting the gym for 1hr.

  • If your body is used to intermittent fasting you will have no problem with fasted training because you feel completely fine fasting.

  • Look up Leangains.

  • so basically you either eat the calories before or after the training but they wash each other out?

  • you sure about the blood sugar thing? i think i read somewhere its steady even after 10+ hours of fasting

  • @Oliveroo It's steady but in the low-normal range. Most people don't perform optimally as such.

  • @LiftingForLife thanks. Im Oliver cherek btw, the guy who supposedly is a part of the friendliest convo ever on your facebook wall or something along this lines, now you know. Keep doing this, I really enjoy your videos. Havent watched the work out ones but the nutritional and supplement ones are always interestin.

  • @Oliveroo I appreciate the support sir!

  • Another solid video dude. I like to train fasted over fed. Keep the real info coming man.

  • If I train fasted, I mentally feel weaker. Therefore I don't get as many reps. Therefore I don't stimulate the muscle as much. Therefore I'm not LOSING muscle, but I'm not gaining mass at an optimal rate.

  • i train fasted, and feel great,

  • loving the hair

  • @WhatTheFuckIsUpDoe LOL thanks

  • @LiftingForLife

Yes, in terms of the "Law of Thermodynamics" 2 person with similar genetics eating the same food is gonna weight the same...

..However, weight is not a good enough indicator... because the one with a greater net protein synthesis is gonna have more muscle mass at the end of the day... (they're still gonna weight the same tho)

  • @Athrun000 I'm not sure what comment you're responding to nor am I sure what you're trying to argue.

  • @LiftingForLife You said that in terms of Thermodynamics... if you eat the amount of calories that is needed to maintain your mass you'll not lose muscle mass right...!?

...My argument is that eating the amount of calories needed to maintain our body mass doesn't necessary means you wouldn't lose muscle mass... it just means you'll be maintaining your current weight

  • @Athrun000 I didn't say that...? I tell people to track macronutrients, not calories.

  • @LiftingForLife

I think you should involve some acticles from LeanGains. Some interesting things like this subject (:

  • What's your profession?

  • @ddayfitness Full-time student. This is all something I do on the side.

  • I agree with the video. I think you are a smart dude. I'd just recommend keeping yourself humble, and non-judgemental when it comes to facebook and interacting with others. I don't look down on you, but the times when I saw you writing immature things and perpetuating disrespect and immaturity, basically representing yourself as someone I would avoid in real life, on facebook, it made not want to associate with you. You're better than that, and hopefully more mature now.

  • whats your take on fasted cardio?Seems like its been proven ineffective but i know some people who swear by it

  • @NYbodybuilder10 Low intensity cardio is a bit of a different animal but the fundamentals are the same. The precise timing doesn't matter.

  • @LiftingForLife thanks for the replie bc i just started doing it and notcing more fat loss now then when i was doing it post workout,Doing 65mins on the stepper

  • very informative

  • @azarvash Thanks!

  • enjoy your vids!

  • good stuff right thurrr

  • you have a look-a-like who goes to my gym

  • them twin bitches train fasted :) right? RIGHT?

  • @MusixPro4u No idea to be honest. lol

  • You, sir are a gentleman and a scholar

  • @Toshie1337 Best compliment ever! lol thank you

  • GOOD SHIT as always

  • @Jcronindream Thank you sir!

  • @Jcronindream Thanks broseph!

  • Ok.. HOW can I feature this on my thing? or can I?? I guess not if I'm not a partner eh?

GREAT SHIT here Ian... thanks a lot for that... and that's the THING! LONG TERM TRENDS is the issue here...

I have clients that are absolutely SCARED to miss ONE meal as they think it's TOTALLY gunna TANK there metabolism, and ultimately stall there fat loss progress. It's CRAZYTOWN...

  • @FreshToneFitness Totally agree. People fixate on the minutiae to the point of forgetting about the big picture.

Just "Favorite" the vid and it'll show up on your channel.

  • @LiftingForLife

    K thx

  • the other issue i had with the train fasted deal is this:

GUYS WE EAT close before bed 8-9 PM and at that point we veg around the couch, if you consider that fasting then youre all nuts

  • @UpalKashey It is still technically fasting but you're correct in the sense that glycogen is not going to be depleted from eight hours of doing nothing.

  • i train fasted, i feel strong fine and gained muscles. results are in the pudding.

    great vid, keep em coming

  • @UpalKashey Agreed, and thanks.

  • Very informative! Keep 'em coming :)

  • @burningcrimsonfury Will do!

  • Great video, great sweater, great swag Ian!

  • @Celonarb Yeah gotta get that whole "fresh" V-neck thing going. lol

  • Very useful information as always.

  • @CampbellFitness Thank you sir.

  • I liked the information as allways but i especially liked that you were less robotic in this vid. Thanks for the upload!

  • @AddictingRS I agree, I was very pleased! I appreciate the support.

  • People seem to really overcomplicate things. I workout in the morning because it's convenient for me. I feel like it's a trade off because if I workout in the evening it's after being at work for 9-10 hours. To me it's just about getting workouts in, stay consistent and eating enough. I've had success with that simple concept.

Good video. Hopefully there will be more soon to come.

  • @mouthforwar93 Lifting does cause a temporary increase in basal metabolism - regardless of when you lift or whether or not you lift fasted.

  • @LiftingForLife could sprinting be considered like lifting in this case..since it requires a high neurological demand like lifting

  • I had 10g of bcaa's prior to yesterday's 40hrs fasted training. Felt awesome. Come at me, haters!

  • @Rolfeheg You fasted for forty hours prior to training?

  • @LiftingForLife Yes :) I'm currently cutting and I find fasting for a whole day a great way to cut calories fast.
