Actually Resilience has nothing to do with it. Peek a Boo was designed specifically for Boxers who have a week natural guard. It does good to guard the face and the ribs but leaves the inner gut and the temples open. Ippo's problem is that he is to willing to take hits in order to score hits. Kamagowa purposely drilled the Peek a boo stance into Ippo to give him a guard that he can effectively use. In May be an Anime/Manga but whoever put the series together did their research

and i agree, he sacrifices taking hits in order to score.. now if it wasn't for Ippo's resielency/tenacity he would've been put KO'ed before he could put a hurting on his opponent, just as Sawada said, if it was another boxer, that boxer could be sleeping in the canvas

Well I do like to know about things that I like, Not just Anime but sports as well. I used to wrestle back in the day and Wrestling and Boxing are two of my favorite sports, and I don't mean that fake ass "Pro" wrestling. As far as sports go they are the two hardest sports I know. Both are very similar in terms of training. Starvation diets, road work, stamina agility and power training.
