i grew up in an era in which the south london scum dominated over us and the chavs were bought by a russian to make them usurp us. And all i ever got growing up was constant sick by these scum fans.but i was always proud to be a spur, even in our darkest days, cos whenever i went to lane i heard an atmosphere that sent shivers down my spine. my dad talked of the glory days and i had to beleive him, cos i thought these fans must have reason to sing in the face of sorow nd finally we are rewarded.
The players must eat this stuff up! If I had the talent to play a sport professionally I would only wish that my fans were half as enthusiastic as the Spurs fans are!

When you ask about English clubs with great fans I keep hearing Toon or Stoke mentioned....rubbish! No matter how good their support is at home you'll be hard pressed to find a supporter base that generates as much noise away from home as they do at home as we do. Fanbase built on loyalty not through glory hunting. We may go through heartache too often but i'll always be proud to call myself Spurs
Easy to generate noise with your numbers. In the real world of football which isnt run by bskyb I can guarantee you. 1000 Crystal Palace fans would make you sound like arsenal fans! Eagllllllleeessss
@eagles12301 Few problems with that statement. Firstly we have more songs so could never sound like Goon fans with their generic "by far the greatest team" chant every few minutes. More importantly your comment about numbers, i'm guessing you didn't see the Milan match or if you did you had the sound off. 80k seater stadium and I could hear EVERY Spurs chant. It's the same no matter where we play. Hopefully we can draw you in the cup next year on your turf then you can see 1st hand

@Flareboy7de Terraces were banned after the Hillsborough disaster in the UK but there's a push to bring them back. I agree totally that the atmosphere on the whole is different now English stadiums are all seater and there are people trying to get the terraces back. In the case of Spurs though our soul is still there and the noise and atmosphere at WHL is still fantastic don't be fooled by the fair weather fans from England that you have seen in Munich in the CL in recent years
