  • To all the questions about the accents? Are you expecting "Fargo"? Most Swedes these days sound much more like those in this video. Sounding like the Muppet's "Swedish baker" would just be distracting. These are just fine.

  • This actress playing Desiree, her speaking voice reminds me of Julie Andrews...

  • This is a musical version of Smiles of a Summer Night, an Ingmar Bergman film and his only comedy. Bergman took his only trip to New York to work with Sondheim on this show, what a summer that must have been!

  • Sondheim's delineation of human nature is simply without flaw. He perfectly shows how a man can be thoroughly in love with his wife and yet still find reasons to stray. It even becomes obvious why an older man would gravitate to a girl young enough to be his daughter.

  • George Lee Andrews was a part of the original production also. He was Frid!

  • never knew that...what is with the accent he is doing?!

  • not sure.... I dont even know where this musical takes place xD

  • Sweden. But there seems to be a big mix of US and UK accents...and George Lee Andrews seems to be doing some kind of semi-scandinavian routine...

  • Sweeden? Really? Wow. Maybe he cant decide what accent he wants.
