This actually helped me out but I need the nicotine in my system for reasons of mental illness I'm not retarded I have skitsophrenia or how ever yu spell it lol but anyway I think the gum works best for me I still do the pen cap method but we can chew gum in my school so yeah both works try it

Some have tried that I know of. But they get embarrassed doing it in public...so they stopped. One time I went to Margarita Rocks in gaslamp, and went outside to "smoke" with the pen cap. I got weird looks, but I didn't care. I'm 3 years off smoking on september 4th...and I estimate that I've saved about $5,500 bucks from quitting.
That's the point though. If you have a strong enough mind then you won't need the pen cap. It's primary use is to help with the craving of the physical addiction. It's all mind over matter.

This is definitely not something that will work for everyone. Only people who are dumb enough to believe they need the pen cap.
Strong mind = the best way to quit.
