VRT turbos are better ive hurd problems of valves melting past 300bhp on 1.8ts, Oh and which sounds the best drives the smoothest. Should have slapped a R32 in there
i have no idea what you are talking about?? i have build 7 golfs myself and there is no way that your stock cams and rods will handle 600bhp.. No Way...
He is saying the engine was stock bottom except for rods and cams. Throw rods in these engines and they will handle gobs of power. Stock pistons have seen 600+. and to GrandMox, the valve-melting thing you have heard is a myth. There are tons of 300+ whp 1.8t's including mine (which is driven hard daily at these power levels) that have never had a valve burn up.
Respect !

What was this 1.8T originally? An AEB converted to transverse? Maybe an AWW or AWP?

It was previously a VR6, hence the side mouldings.
Rims are Schmidt Modernlines, 9x16 front and 10x16 rear.

Moron. Lets just say that a 1.8T with rods and cams only has seen over 600 hp.

Yeah i heard you can get more power from the 1.8t plus the VR6 is quite a heavy engine for the power it makes so i guess thts y

Why didnt you just do VRTurbo instead of a swap and a turbo upgrade?
