  • Theres a video suggestion of "Morgan Freeman's Big Sneeze" jajajajajaja XD

  • Adoro ésta canción. Y me parece que suena muchísimo mejor en vivo que en la versión de estudio, que suena más vacía. Me deja una sensación que no puedo explicar. Un sentimiento agridulce.

  • what a way to get bawled out by an ex!!!

shame the pertinent words are blanked!!

  • Thanks for posting this. Powerful!

  • She has an amazing body language ..)) I think many people have enormous power emotions when you hear it%%)

  • so haunting!

  • I love Evans Blue version of this

  • excellent.

  • Anyone else notice she said "I hurt myself" and started into "you're full of shit" lol

  • hot spyre was so small, sorry Trent

  • This is better than the studio version. :)

  • @deanriam

No way. But it does show off her talents

  • Your music makes my life more beautiful. Thak you Tori.

  • 9 people are deaf. :)

  • she is amazing.. watch and learn newbies!!

  • @Chafey4444: I totally agree. This is such an awesome performance of this song. She is just electric. I also really love the band.

  • @dreamscapes13 Thanks, Dreams, Baby!! And the band at that time is really her best gathering of talent to back her that's she's ever had!! I agree totally with you, as well!! :o)

  • How can people dislike such an amazing song and such a speechless performance? I really don't understand...

  • 2:42 Loving the face >:D

  • This is excellence.

  • Boys on my left side, Boys on my right side....and your not here...I need a big, big loan a-from the girl zone....yeah:)

  • Hate to think that Trent hurt her. Tori you were too much for him!

  • Who are the silly jealous goobers here that keep marking posts//comments that are clearly *NOT* SPAM as spam!? Sheesh. :o)

  • Her band is soooo tight. GENIUS! To play that well together & read Tori's cues...tight.

  • I just watched a whole pile of Kate Bush videos. I came over here to see if I still think Tori can hold a candle. She can. They are both goddesses.

  • She said she caught a lite sneeze from him not the flu.

  • the iieee from this concert is also amazing. what an era

  • This is great! What year did she do this performance?

  • Wow!

  • 8 people caught heavy sneezes.

  • OMG! This was Tori at her very best. I truly wish she had had a good vocal coach who could have helped her preserve her voice into her later years. Her voice now is a shadow of what it once was. I miss the old days, Tori!

  • Wow...definitely the most intense version of this song. <3

  • Simply amazing. :D

  • don't ever cross Tori, she'll cuss you out in a song

  • @SupernalOne So that's where Taylor Swift got her inspiration....too bad Tori's miles ahead and Taylor will NEVER EVER catch up. lol.

  • @manduh87

For sure -- , it's one thing to be a pop star, even a good one, and another to be a uniquely creative & expressive artist

  • Tori is the kind of woman that makes you look askance at your girlfriend and say: "Are you for real dude?"

  • @Chafey4444

Do you always capitalize personal pronouns, or just Me, My, I, etc?

  • @Countcordeaux "Do you always capitalize personal pronouns, or just Me, My, I, etc?" I'm glad you pay attention so closely to My words and My textual stylings!! :o) It started-out as a tongue-in-cheek thing, on Usenet. There was a Hillbilly in Atlanta that would purposely type My name in lower case all the time to try to signify that he felt I was "small and insignificant". So, I combatted that with different kinds of silly things, and, one of those things was to do what I continue to do! :o)

  • @Countcordeaux 2nd Part To My Reply To The Count--: Clarifying My First Part--: I capitalize My Me's and such, still to this day, because I decided I liked the egotistical feel of it. :o) It tends to annoy certain kinds of easily annoyed and insecure folks, (like, you, perhaps!?)....!! :o) Are you, by any chance, one of the goobers who keeps marking comments that are clearly NOT Spam as Spam!?

  • <3 !!!! <3 !!!! <3

  • Wow. She went in. Love Tori.

  • no words for her...gnostic it seems

  • "you said I hurt myself today. You never could. you never did. you're full of shit." Wow, someone's upset with Trent Reznor! She must have been in a bad relationship with him. Thing is, it inspired all her best songs...

  • @NazTb0y I think most of pele was about Trent.....and the thing is......what wonderful music came out of their breakup that we are all so thankful for........but I can't help but think what amazing music they would have made together if they had kept it together......

  • @JewelAngel well, my favorite songs by Tori Amos (admittedly, I don't listen to her a lot) are from her first album. Actually, i find this song kind of repetitive and boring. Sounds like stoner music to me. Winter is my favorite song by her...

  • wish I could be there

  • i agree with you all the way Chafey4444

  • evans blue did an awesome cover

  • Why is this censored?

  • *Speechless* How is it possible that puts out so much emotion and sounds so amazing live?

  • every time i hear this version, i have an orgasm.

  • what i wouldn't do to relive this choirgirl/plugged era!

it was my sophomore physics teacher that handed me 'choirgirl' and said, "listen closely..." and i've been listening ever since. i whored her discography but i always return to 'choirgirl'... all it takes is the first few seconds of 'spark' and i'm instantly resold the complete brilliance of that record. her live performances during the plugged tour were phe-nom-en-al, just otherworldly!

  • @calmtides I agree. choirgirl was great , and I also really liked Scarlet's Walk

  • omg I just saw a recent picture of her. what has she done to herself?

And yes, this is the best version of the song.

  • Trent was an idiot to fool around with that starfucking psychopath Courtney Love.

  • From the instrumentals to her singing and performance, this video blows me away. The best part, IMO, are her cues to the rest of the band members. You can tell that every live performance of this song is probably slightly different in its own way making her cues a must. Amazing.

  • I remember after they had broken up, fans on both sides of the fence were talking on blogs how Trent and Tori woulda made beautiful children together. lol!!

  • @angelforfreedom so they were really a couple? I thought that it was just a rumour:-)

  • Gods among us!

  • Awesome Amos! Utterly brilliant in every way.

  • best version of this song. ever

  • MAN, I LOVE THIS VERSION!!! SHE WAS FEELING IT WHEN SINGING THIS SONG!!! WHO IS THIS SONG ABOUT??? DOES ANYONE KNOW???

  • they censored her? Fuck off.. No one censors Tori.

  • Senssik:

What about her Brain, Talent and Style..

  • Agree with you 150% Chafey444 in every aspect of your comments..

Well, worth watching and I too can listen to her endlessly..

  • she has bedroom eyes.

  • It's the very best cover she made about this song! amazing tori <3

  • one of the 35622 reasons I love Tori.....her lips and mouth <3

  • I needa big loan froma calzoneeeeee

  • Tori is one talented sexy woman.Love her---

  • WOW

  • This is by-far the best live performance she has ever done for this song. If you can watch all of her 'Sessions' songs from this concert, it's worth it. I can watch and listen to this video over and over again and I never get bored with it. I like it much better than her studio version with the harpsichord. Anywho, that whole show caught her at the very peak of her vocal abilities, in My not so humble opinion. And if anyone knows how to obtain an uncensored version of this song let Me know.

  • @Chafey4444 Google stellar products. They sell copies of this and other hard to find performances from Tori and other artists.

  • awsom, beautiful, amazing, perfect

  • i fell in love with the lp can ne 1 direct me to it ?

  • I love her work so much!! I've seen her live and saw her dad, mom and cousin. I can't say enough of how incredible she is live! A real hurricane! I believe she is one of the greatest musicians of our time. It's kinda sad because most people think she's weird but I believe she just "speaks" about the obvious without holding back. Lovit!

  • and that IS the best CALS in the ethers. my jesus...otherwordly.

  • I can't stop listening

  • too bad she doesn't belt it out like this anymore. best version ever. better without the harps.

  • Yup, definitely about Trent. At first I wasn't sure, but after seeing this, definitely. She emotes such pain. Tori, you truly are a wonder.

  • @sickofwaitingtables why though is it about trent??

  • @ChildIncomplete He and Tori were rumored to have been in a relationship around 1994, and had a falling out before this song was recorded because of "meddling" from Courtney Love. There is a reference to Nine Inch Nails in the lyrics ("made my own Pretty Hate Machine [NIN's first album]"). And, of course, in this performance she sings a line from Trent's song "Hurt".

  • I've been a fan of Tori's since 1992 - sometimes she shrills but when she is on her game she is up there with the best female voices EVER! I have seen her 3 times in concert and she is amazing :) She is inventive and extremely talented and probably one of the most underappreciated artists to ever grace our planet. Love you Tori - Gods Bless my Angel :)

  • I wonder if trent reznor cringes when he hears this song?

  • shes the REALL DEAL!

  • great version, shame they had to censor the word 'shit' out, though...

  • she has man fingers. paradoxical for such strong, arduous, an beautiful delicacy, but gives me hope for my cumberland sausage fingers with my piano.

  • this song is about trent

  • @theblueroses0 Who is Trent? And what is the Background story to this song?

  • @rpy76

Trent is Trent Reznor , from Nine Inch Nails

  • @DiegoRmolano, Got it, Thanks

  • The only thing I wish was changed in this version would be if this was a real band and not just hired guns. I think it would be very interesting to have seen what the drummer could have done if he had been let loose to just go at it. Such a great drum line with the low tones but there is so much restraint.

(when I say real band I mean if the other people had a say in the musical direction. They are all incredible musicians......want to cut off the hate before it starts....)

  • @pitatoe - These guys are a "real band." Before they parted ways a couple years ago, Caton (on guitar) had worked with her since the 80s (Y Kant Tori Read), including the solo studio albums. Matt Chamberlain (on drums) has been with her since '98, both touring and on her studio stuff, & Jon Evans (on drums) has also been working with her since '98, touring & some studio stuff. I very much doubt Tori would consider them "just hired guns." :-(

  • Excuse me all of you idiots but Tori is Au Naturelle - I should know because I have seen her 3 times in concert - she is Goddess of The Spires and one of the most talented Musical Artists ever - no two renditions of her ever sound alike so please get educated before you open your mouth :)

  • fuck me I missed this. wow.

All the NIN ref is from the fact she work with Trent on the album around this time. He does backing vocals on Past The Mission which is an incredible song.

  • @pitatoe

    They dated, too

  • @pitatoe Well, actually "Past The Mission" is off her album Under The Pink (1994). This song was off her album Boys For Pele (1996). Her involvement with Trent probably spanned both albums. Apparently, they're still both good friends.

  • Nothing better than Tori! She is the best!

  • mystic song

  • The Spire Is HOTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What lipsynching are you morons talking about???

  • i'm gonna slap the shit outta ya next...... GODDESS.

  • lol she use playback? 1:34

  • goddess.

  • "I hurt...myself...today...OH GOD!"

  • @tidalboxer yeah, what was that self indulgent rant about? love it regardless

  • @GorSenecal She was referring to ''Hurt'' by Nine Inch Nails, where the lyrics are ''I hurt myself today/ to see if I still feel''. I think NIN frontman Trent Reznor and Tori used to work together.

  • @Einherj1 Is Hurt not orignially by johhny cash and NIN were just covering it?

  • @lkj71097 Other way round.

  • @lkj71097 No, it was a song by NIN from 1994, and Johnny Cash covered it in 2002

  • @jenniferchocolat badly, mind you.

  • There's quite a delay in this video. There are better versions of this session. NO lipsyncing...

  • Tori lipsynching..lol..come here and let me slap the shit out of ya...

  • Comment removed

  • Dear Tori and Caton,

Please settle your differences. It is no fun to hold grudges.

And we want to see you play together again.

Tori and your piano. Caton and your guitar.

    Alone together.

    Magic.

  • OMG, LOVE THIS VERSION!!!!

  • Tori Amos is a Goddess. Cherokee eyes.

  • She's so beautiful.

  • She sings what she gets in her soul!

  • I love 2:45, lol, her face is priceless.

    Great performance as always

  • @tenderbloodrose really scary face!

  • @tenderbloodrose

    My favorite face to!

  • I find myself endlessly listening to Tori, and I adore her even more each time. She is like no other artist from the past or present.

  • Oh ginger love... how I adore thee!

  • hahahah did somebody think she was lipsyncing? hahaha damn your folly. This is my favourite version of caught a lite sneeze. from the Trent dig 'i hurt myself today' to the end is... sheer bliss.

  • she is so beautiful, I love her voice ...

  • Roy believes in 2012

  • In my humble opinion this is by far the best version of 'sneeze' Much love to all you Tori fans xxxx 4.07. Just can't live without it !!

  • i just love this song :X

  • I love this album. One of my favorite albums of all time. Plus I love her hair curly. I wish she had it like that now!

  • needed my fix hehe

  • her drummer has a very expressive kit

and as usual, her bass player is awesome, he's been a major contributor to her great love sound

  • god I love this song. it's my favorite of hers.

  • I love this version

  • omfg!

food from the gods, love it

  • I can't stop listening to this...

  • soooo beautiful.....beyond words.

  • she looks high and horny

  • @thecowardovi Two thumbs up for that.

  • hahaha it's increadibly obvious that she's NOT lipsynching. If you've heard the original, you'd know that there's a lot of improv in this version. Besides that, she gives the cue at the end, showing the band that she's ending the song. If she was lipsynching, that wouldn't be necessary.

  • I'm at a loss for words... beautiful music has this incredible ability to make you feel like part of its creation, in many ways that feeling is an absolute truth.

All forms of attraction to human expression binds people together - emotional connection. There's nothing of greater value...

  • I love this live version. Thanks 4 sharing

  • That look she gives someone in the crowed at 1:37 and 1:38 is sooo gorgeous. I'm so envious of her, but unbelieveably happy and proud of her. I wish she got more credit for her beautiful art.<3

  • Awesome!! She's on fire in this performance, I love the guitars

  • @joellyshooshoo his guitar tone sucks! She needs a better guitarist.

  • She keeps pulling faces and I think it might be at people talking or something? I LOVE LOVE LOVE 2:45 and all the moving and faces. This is Tori Amos.

  • this is a fucking drug... close your eyes, put play and let this music hurts you and heals you

  • This is my favorite Tori Amos song next to Precious Things. So powerful!

  • I can listen to this from dusk till dawn and all day <3

  • Fierce bitch.

    What ever happened? :(

  • She's brilliant and chose the best musicians to back her as well. It's epic.

  • she is great live....I was also forunate enough to wait on her at Rainforest Cafe in Orlando, Fl. She had cocnut shrimp and a cup of clam chowder....and didnt eat any of it!

  • Damn, the improv she does in this is beautiful.

  • this would be much better with a harpsichord...

  • LOOOOOVE IT <3

  • I love how in this version she basically calls BS on Trent Reznor's "Hurt". Apparently, this song is about getting over a relationship that she is calling in the aftermath a "lite sneeze" instead of a full-on flu. "Didn't know our love was so small..." kinda sounds like she's talking about her mini-relationship with Trent. She also references NIN in the original version of the song, and this live version just confirmed it for me that this song was about her and Trent.

  • @dreamaskylar

    you are so Small-minded..

Your comments show how narrow your interpretation is. sad to be so Simple. :(

  • @anissuperhero

what's small minded about his interpretation?

  • @dreamaskylar I KNEW she was refering to him!!!!!

  • Classic.......sensual..thats why she's different...Luv the video!!

  • its like she channel the deepest Goddess energy, she like becomes a Goddess archetype, like a fire Goddess!

  • one of my favourite song ever!!!

  • ha ha, @ 3:39, the drummer screwed up and was supposed to stop for that break down. check out the look she gives the drummer. lmao

  • @2skullscrushing matt stopped exactly where he should have. sounds like a very intentional move towards the break-down, one that syncs with the guitar and bass (i mean, if he screwed up, jon and caton did too). that look she gives I always read as a sultry, furtive glance between them - tori has always talked about the special musical bond she shares with matt chamberlain

  • @dboles27 well, i've been playing the drums professionally for more years than you've been alive. unless they were ad libbing the song, which at this point they must have played thousands of times. The stop for the bridge was terrible. and my recording shows him stop the beat a couple counts earlier. sounds to me like he thought he had one more measure. ya, he caught it and handled it, but like i said, it doesnt match my recordings either.jon and
