@pragvansh a simple example,when Gandhiji was roaming in india for the freedom fighting movement,giving speeches,he faced this problem..in India,most of the people stayed in d villages,they knew their own state language,Gandhiji wanted to express his feelings in his words through his speeches,but common people didn't knew Hindi or English,this problem was even bigger in South India,Gandhiji had 2 give his speech in writing 2 d local leader,& than sum1 used 2 read that translation before public..

if a person goes from andhra to gujrat for short stay, he may use hindi as a language of communication, but he must learn gujrati if he is shifting there on a permanent basis!
kasab, who is living in mumbai 2 yrs now, is well-versed in marathi but abu azmi is staying here since 40 yrs yet he proudly declares that he dosent know marathi! is this done?

when did i say that ppl coming to maharashtra as VISITORS shld learn marathi (its a good thing if they do!), i m just emphasizing that people who hav come here as permanent residents should learn marathi and maharashtrian culture. if in a mumbai shop owned by a tamil, a tamil comes to buy things and speaks in tamil i hav no problem, but if a person goes there and speaks marathi, and d shopkeeper/owner isnt able to converse in d language, then this has to b stopped!
