@iC0rey nah it doesn't, not compared with the original Phantom which had an angular design. This has reverted back a typical box shape which is a big let down for me.
@viewer10170 i have the DF-85 and although it is a fucking awesome case, I would change it for the switch or the cosmos based on performance. however in regard to aesthetics, the DF-85 wins :P
@viewer10170 depends on what your going to do with it. Cosmos is double the price of either of those cases. i personally dont like the Antec case, the looks. id recommend the Switch 810
something should be mentioned about the odd bay and installing 360 rad since it cant be done in a push pull config. In fact I am guessing it would hard with just a pull config. As someone who owns a 5 year old enermax full tower case, this case looks to be one of the best on the market because it is so fucking geometrically practical. It is the Lotus of cases.
@trbotimmmmmmmeh wow, i have an antec which is steel, and heavy, meaning it can get kicked and doesn't feel a thing. Im not sold on this case, it looks flimsy and cheap (the top, ect.) i dont think this case would protect my investment.
@Richy0money i woyld get this over a 800d any day the case is outside plastic and pcwizkid says it aint flimsy do your homework before criticizing a perfect case
@PCGAMER35353vr Plastic is still plastic. Plastic is more likely to break, plus a lot of people don't like the fact that it looks cheap. An 800D simply looks like a more expensive case, plus it it's the better case. NZXT cases use offset mounts so you have to buy their fans. Also this case is nowhere near perfect. Cosmos II is the only new case that should be getting that comment and even then people are going to find stuff wrong with it eventually.
@ksidornseif of course i know its a different curency but 600 "real" is 350 dolars its still very expensive. i never buy computer parts or anything here its alwase a rip off
i love justin bieber i LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!but i feel like crying cause i know i cant have him. I tried to stop liking him but it didnt work i just started to love him more!! NO HOMO!!
Well, I don't particularly like the look of the case. I can see how other would find it quite appealing, however I just do not seem to agree. In my opinion, one important thing about a case is how it looks because that's the part you have to look at all the time, however you also need to have really good features. I think this case has a really good amount of features and is an awesome case, but in my opinion it fails the look test for me. Thanks for taking the time to make this review!
I'd really like you to review the Enermax Marathon Enlobal Magnetic Bearing Fans so that more people are made aware of them. These have no bearings they're magnetic and the blades can be taken off for easy cleaning, in addition to them being very quiet. They're far superior to what's available in cases one buys or such. Please consider it thanks!
What a lovely looking case, love the white theme, it's nice to see case makers doing creative things again with colours instead of all black, that was getiin on my goat for awhile. Be nice if the fans had white LED's to match though All we need now is cases with an odd-shaped design thats not a tower or a micro, spherical shaped eh? Anyway just me going off on a tangent there lovely looking case, could've done with a full-size window but oh well, well done Pcwizkid & NZXT
@discy12345 True that, you could probably install your own right enough, small omission there, why not tell NZXT about that, they might be able to change the manufacturing process and put some in there last minuite before volume production units go on sale
This looks like the perfect case for an enthusiast and looks like there could be many modding capabilities but I just think it's a bit over-priced if I'm honest. I built my first gaming rig a couple of months back and bought a brilliant Coolermaster Elite 430 case for about £40. Out of the box, there isn't a tonne of room and there really isn't any cable management but I have plans to mod it a little to make it function (and look) awesome and I mean, who can say no to that huge window? ;)
Those saying over $100 is crazy to spend on a case, if you're doing a 1-time build then yes, sub-$100 cases are perfect. On the other hand, $100+ cases are normally built to last and are sturdy or have enthusiast level features. I constantly swap hardware in and out and cannot have the case breaking on me. I see cases, MBs, and HDDs as long term investments so I'm willing to pay a premium rather than cheap out. This case however does not justify its price. A Corsair 600T is a better bet
I acknowledge that a case should be an investment, I just get the feeling that after around 120 - 150 dollars, you seem to get diminishing returns. Regardless of how high you go they're all pretty much the same sort of metal cage with plastic accents.
I just recently got the Lancool K63 (which supposedly has a reputation for quality), and while it's nice... it's not a tank. And I doubt I would have got anything much more solid for an extra 100$.
@SirGomez81 nuthink wrong with it u can fit lots of rads in there lots of airflow looks great lots of room looks better then 800d and haf x and plus its cheap its not much but only thing ill say is wrong with with al nzxt cases is they have not got strong metal n sides so it can bend easy but this one looks kinda strong to me i mite get it or the comos s 2 or silverstone :P
I have the NZXT phantom full tower case and I can tell you that it is wonderful although lacking on usb ports (only 2) it still very nice, keeps my computer parts cool, and the fan hub is awesome.
Ahh... now that top grill, I like that. Not just for looks, I personally find that dust tends to settle by falling straight down... almost as much as getting sucked in by fans. When the computer is on it's not such a biggy because the exhaust blows it away. But whenever the comp is shut down or sleeps the fans stop spinning, and the dust can just fall in from the top.
Being able to close those top grills is really a nice touch for helping with that.
Any case that goes over 100$ is already pushing it if you ask me. Personally when you go over 150$ it becomes bleeding edge. For 170 before taxes and shipping, it would need to have a LOT to offer.
@PCWizKid I've Seen Reviews Of that Case But haven't asked How much it Costs I'm Interested in it but can't find it on tigerdirect, so could you tell me a sight where i could buy it and a suggested msrp price
this case offers more than any other in its price range :S
Room for 4 fan radiator, removable hard drive cages, adjustable angle case fan holder, AND UNLIKE ANY OTHER CASE, PRE MANAGED CABLES BEHIND THE MOTHERBOARD TRAY, AND A FAN CONTROLLER ON THE BACK OF THE MOTHERBOARD TRAY, THIS IS COMPLETELY UNIQUE
this is a great case! i was deciding on getting the Corsair 600t but the exterior of this case got me hooked! Its also a full tower vs mid tower! Can't wait to order one.
This tower is amazing. I would buy it if space was a concern. Considering most modern ATX motherboards come with USB 3.0 ports already, the built in ones on the case would really be nice as well, almost doubling the amount of ports. I am considering this for my next custom build. Thanks wizkid for this awesome review/showcase :D
the fan hub and easy dust filter cleaning are the main features that stand out from other cases, the rest of the interior design looks very like a typical bitfenix case
but it looks as though the fan hub doesnt support molex? or maybe it has one molex port
@Chase471 well, sometimes you want ait coming out faster, so you open the vents, otherwise if you want to keep it silent and not care about so much airflow coming out, you can close it.
@PCWizKid That's true. They do add to the design aspect too. I personally wouldn't want to obstruct any airflow, but if the grills at the side of the vent can push enough air out I'd imagine it can cover the majority of peoples needs for silent or better cooling. Would a radiator cause any issues with the grills too? say If you were to want things a little more silent and have the vents closed with that kind of setup?
ugh this is horrible .... they've ruined the design! Stick with the original Phantom!

the fan hub and easy dust filter cleaning are the main features that stand out from other cases, the rest of the interior design looks very like a typical bitfenix case
but it looks as though the fan hub doesnt support molex? or maybe it has one molex port

@DaGleese yes it has a molex plug, if you look at my closeup image you will see.

Nice case, although I feel the vents on the top are a more of a gimmick than practical.
