@thecomanche1 Mythbusters proved that the bacteria from Salsa alone is worse than what is found in your mouth... so double dipping in salsa is no problem. I have no idea what sort of dip that is though.

I saw a real soup nazi the other day ! I needed change for a machine and this guy was selling chocolate bread. I handed him a bill, ask if he has change, he goes "I don't give change". I said "well then I'll have a chocolate bread please". Guy goes "too late, you should have asked before, GET OUT OF MY STORE". And my mind went "okaaay, soup nazi". Just thought I'd share that.
Statistics show that most dips have more spittle in them from people talking in their vicinity than from double dipping. The whole point of the joke was that "Timmy" was being a tightwad, and George got shafted for yet another totally reasonable action that his present company had some kind of unforeseen hangup on. I think our society simply extracted the wrong moral from this iconic scene.
Ergo, I will bring the double dip back, my friends. With God as my witness, I *will* bring it back.
I love how when someone walks away from a conversation with George, there whole world looks like its falling apart, and they can't make sense of anything.

One of the beauties of this show is the characters that appear once or twice. Like the double dip guy. He looked like a cranky guy ready to pounce. He's one of my earliest memories of this show. "From now on, when you take a dip, just take one dip and END IT!"
Ever think about "why" the Chinese guy yelled Cartwright? It took me seeing that episode dozens of times, and it hit me...... when George's date Tatiana calls the restaurant, she obviously asks for George Costanza, but the Chinese guy hears "Costanza", and thinks of "Bonanza", the 60s TV show. The family who lived at the Ponderosa on Bonanza was the Cartwrights...lmao ....it's like a hidden joke that you don't get unless you've seen Bonanza, but you still have to figure it out. Brilliant.
