@bellabelliboo Thanks for the feedback! All students get an email. It's your "username" @humboldt.edu. It's the same username that you use to log into the student center. Last year, they let us access the email as soon as we registered, but I think this year they're not letting students use them until the school year starts. (My little brother is a freshman this year, too. :])
I'm super interested in Humboldt. :) I'm really into the environment and the whole town of Arcata looks fantastic. I just got my SAT scores yesterday and I got an 1810! So I think I have a good chance at being accepted. :D YAY! I just have to worry about money... :P
@empouse You'll be accepted. They accept almost everyone, honestly. :] It's a really amazing school! If you wanna save some money, I'd suggest living off campus. But if you do that, make sure you join some clubs and be involved to make sure you meet people! :]
@Carpface Yeah, that's what I figured. :) I really would like to live on campus the first year just to get the whole "freshman experience", but then I'd probably live off campus. We'll see! I really want to go to the Spring Preview next weekend, but I live 12 hours away in Southern California and gas prices are insane...oh well.
@empouse Lots and lots of people from SoCal go here. You'd be surprised! I'm sure you could find some people coming up here too. You should consider taking Amtrak. It might be cheaper than gas for there and back.
@Carpface I bet! It's so brown and hot and dry down here...I'm sure lots of people want the change of scenery like me! I didn't think about taking Amtrak...that's not a bad idea. Thanks!
hey im for sure going to humboldt but im still deciding on what dorm to choose. I want to party...alot and i heard the hill is the place for that. However when i was looking at photos of the dorms and the aparment building i saw no where to play BP. Is there something im not seeing
@bigmak2pinu Well, the school doesn't want you to play beer pong, so it doesn't exactly give you a designated area for that. Basically, you'll see when you get here. A suggestion though... You may not want to spend $6000 a semester just to party. People party a lot the first semester, then they stop when they get their grades. haha.
