Well, maybe if you more diligent this would not have happened. Here in Canada, you must do your change of address within 30 days, by law.

There are real problems with election fraud in the US, but this type of problem is easy to fix. Organized fraud by the authorities is more dangerous to democracy and harder to fix, since the authorities systematicaly refuse to persue the matter.

I had the same situation you did. I moved in october but didn't change my address on my Drivers license but changed the district I voted it.
Luckilly I had my passport in my car so I just showed it to them and they let me vote.
