California Budget Crisis and the State's University System

What do prisons have to do with the education budget? It costs more to keep an elderly person in a nursing home than it does to keep somebody in prison--and nursing home workers make a lot less than prison guards. Giving money to UC and CSU to turn out more grads with useless degrees is actually going to hurt the economy.

California State Universites are just clearing houses for foreigners so that they become citizens and vote for liberal socialists.

i think there can be more cute in the state system. do we need to graduate 1000s of people in worthless soft science degrees like psychology, sociology, anthropology and then have them not use those degrees in a practical way. at the phd level these degrees are worthwhile. also the csu and especially uc's seem to limit students in certain programs. why does uci medical school only accept about 90 students with its budget? could it be to jack up doctors salaries when they graduate?
