it's harder to go from some languages to english than others. for example, i taught english in korea for a couple years, and they have a very tough time of it. listen to the secretary general of the UN, ban ki moon, for example.... he's obviously brilliant, and more or less fluent in english, but sounds not so good.

Look, when you move to America from another country after 6 years you can apply for citizenship. If you choose to naturalize you become a citizen of the United States. You are no longer German, or Spanish, or Eritrean. You are an American. Its not that hard of a concept. Being able to become president is completely irrelevant.
