Apparently it is a Fake, created by the makers of the movie "Wanted" said to be an ad for it
(I mean how does he throw the computer without unplugging it)
It's not very hard to make the chord snap.

They are made weak. Giving a good tug will either strip the screws or rip the port out of the back of the old CRTs. I couldn't say whether or not this was staged, but that's not the best evidence.
Either way, I can see this happening.
