The AIP recruitment program was really big in my high school and a few of my friends ended up going there. This was one of the short films they played.
I've never understood why all the best animations, are always trying to express a meaning. I'm currently learning maya, and not for one second do I think about expressing myself through animation. Hell, all I wanna do is create some kick ass animation with barbarians storming villages and hacking off heads. Seems not many people on youtube think like that. Very good work though man, animation wise.
I remember this. They sometimes had it playing around the 6th floor on some tv...or it may have been the 5th. I always got lost in that building. But I remember seeing this video, and it just made me cry.
Although I know nothing about the technical or artistic aspects of animation, I'm certain this was quite an undertaking. What I do know about is boys, as I have 4 grandsons and when they hurt, I hurt. "Fragile" has haunted me since I first saw it on the Tribeca Amazon Contest and it left me sobbing like a broken hearted schoolgirl. After viewing it numerous times I am still amazed at the emotion it evokes.
Yeah! it is really beautiful , i first saw this on the Tribeca Amazon Contest. This short inspired me and also in a way help me to keep my focus on the goal when i was in 3D Major training over Alias this was a little before Autodesk bought them, and all i want to say is that even though its hard sometimes, and there are lots of things you need to have handled first when training on 3D the rewards are really REALLY worth it. Congrats to Dave!
Why can't those kids have hair? Their bald heads make them look like they belong in American History X. I hope Cumbio's (is he related to the yogurt company?) wife isn't gonna have a fugly babino!
No he's not related to the yogurt company. And if you don't like how they don't have bald heads then how about you go try and make it yourself. He didn't spend all of his time on animating this just to please you.
Hello, i currently go to AI Pittsburgh.. its my first quarter and im in animation.
O.O It must have taken this man forever to do this... because that rip off of a 3D animation company Pixar wont put in this kind of effort. Don't get me wrong.. i love this short because of the effort.. and im not a fan of 3D animation (I'm trying to be a darn good 2D animator if thats that don't sound nostalgic).
When they were recruiting kids at my high school for the Art Institute, they showed us this. There was not a dry eye in the room-- even the guys were crying.
This is pretty sweet... I love it. Beautiful work always.

Hey guys. I'm looking into the oline animation program from Art Institute of Pittsburg. What can you tell me (good and bad) about this school?

I graduated a year after Dave. His work is amazing. The time and dedication he has put into not only this, but all his work, really shows!
Nice!!
