@thegreaseball98 Brian Sweet georgia brown has a very special fragrance to it and the can looks very nice. Nu Nile is stronger and gives a little more hold, but it lies heavy on the hair if you put on too much. I like SGB better for everyday use. The best pomade for everyday use imho is Black & White.
hey mate! Im a daily user of pomade, i ve tried lots of them... lately ive been experiencing some excessive hair falling. Does it happen to you as well? Do you use pomades everyday? How and how often do u wash them out? Thanks a lot cat ;)
@L0ngLiveRnR I´m not shure about the hair falling. A 60 year old man that I know warned me against pomade, he said it could cause hair loss. I´ve alway some hair in my comb but I don´t know if it´s more than normal.
Yes, I use pomade every day. I wash my hair as usual so there´s always a rest of pomade left. I just threw away my pillow a few weeks ago :-) When I want my hair totally clean, I use light pomade like murray´s super light for a few days, then I wash my hair several times.
@blackberryblossom Cheers man! I asked it cause I actually find several hair also in my hands... and im not sure that much is normal... Anyways, i also use lots of light pomade, murrays super light and exelento are great.... i also have a shampoo everyday to keep hair clean... Stay greasy cat! ;-)
Its normal to lose between 50 and 100 hairs a day even when not using any hair products, the only thing that changes when you use pomade is they stick together and to your hand and you notice them more.
@L0ngLiveRnR Just put a few drops of 100% peppermint essential oil on your scalp where you have hair loss. Do that twice a week for 2 months, and your hair will grow back. Pomades and waxes tend to clog the pores on the head which leads to hair loss. But to prevent it just avoid putting it on your scalp and find a oil like olive oil and lightly oil your scalp. Grease/pomade are for hair shafts not scalp
@L0ngLiveRnR If you're a daily user, take into account the fact that the average man loses about 50 strands of hair per day. That is average loss, hair that is replaced with new growth. That being said, that hair becomes stuck with other hair and can build up. If you want to do a little experiment I'd suggest discontinuing pomade use for a couple of weeks. If you're hair is dry and you still have the same amount of hair showing up at the bottome of your drain THEN I'd start to worry a little.
@xXxTAKeIToVeRxXx I don´t think so. I don´t know murray´s superior yet, the red Dax is the strongest stuff that I use. But I don´t think it´s better than murray´s. I´ll buy me a can soon. But the red Dax has a very nice smell that i like very much.
@KUNGFUCHICKENNOODEL : Very greasy, very shiny. There´s something special about it, hard to describe, but the hold is rather light. Try a small can. I bought the big package and it will probably last for the rest of my life.
@mesut4747: The directions on the can say: "Rub into palms", but that doesn´t work (for me). But you can use a blowdryer to melt the pomade, then apply it.
@darkpladian : The second one, murray´s super light, is more like are hair care product. It provides a very light hold and a more natural look, but also a great shine. You can use it to smooth dry or dishevelled hair. You can also mix it with a stronger pomade to get a medium strong mix that is easy to apply.
The yardley english lavender is even lighter. It gives almost no hold at all, but it smells beautifully and very old-fashioned. Plus it looks cool so I had to buy it.
@darkpladian: It should be a little wet. But I personally get the best results when I "pre-shape" the hair a little bit with a hair-dryer before I grease it.
Dax green & gold works pretty well. Loved also Murrays Nu Nile. Murrays classic is good but definetely too hard on the hair. Black and white is an awesome pomade, just doesn't give a strong hold, saddenly
i had nu nile once. is sweet gorgia brown better?

Nice video. I have almost all these that you have and many others. I'm addicted to collect pomades. I have some dozens of jars here.
