  • The only way the conversations on this page could work is in realtime :\

  • @Mickey2206 Read it again Mickey I said Kraftwerk influenced early Hip-Hop, not the not other way round.......I have a documentary on VHS "The History of Hip-Hop" which was aired on Channel 4 around the turn of the century.....doesn't appear to be on YouTube so maybe I should upload.

  • evvertnodyy has a better and a more clever opinion, but mine is, just remember the good memories that go withe the song, and let it rest be the past

  • House was born in in Chicago, garage was born in New York but only techno came from Detroit. This is techno! not house.

  • Drums have dated ever so slightly, as with most old school dance tracks, but this is still a wicked track and the arrangement is timeless - love it

  • good times!

  • jeff young. anyone remember airport 89 mix.

  • German and British techno rules the school of house and electronic teachings from the brain of the center of the ultra world!

  • . . i love this one, the king . .

  • homr1 - you lot pinched the electronic bits off the Germans you fuktard. Planet Rock - oh yeah, that came out of the US for sure...

  • Was planet rock not a rip off of trans europe expess by kraftwerk?

  • Yes - that was my point about pinching from the germans. I was being ironic when I said it came from the US for sure.

  • Remember when Jeff Young used to use this for the intro to the slot that Tong now has on Radio 1 on a Friday. Pete Tong owes him big style! "Jeff Young, y'all, big beat style on radio 1"!!!

  • I remember Jeff Young, wonder what happened to him?

  • Same here, I remember that. I was a regular listener to "The Big Beat Show" prior to Pete Tong taking over the reins. Those days and the early years when Pete presented it were just the best. There used to be SUCH A BUZZ about what the Essential New Tune was going to be each week!

  • Why are you American so fucking eliteist over everything? Try enjoying the track...

And House music was actually a natural progression from Disco during the late 70s and it was a New York movement.

Now fuck off, you boring fucktard

  • You're wrong anyway. House came fom Germany.

  • House came from Germany??? Born in Chicago and Detroit, raised and nutured in the good old UK.

The only thing Germany can lay claim to with House music is possibly Kraftwerk which also influenced some early Hip Hop.

  • @theAAces WHat? What about Sven Vath & his grp OFF? & other projects, 16 Bit, Mosaic. What about Oliver Lieb? What about Ian Pooley? Maybe not house, but electronica in general, except for Ian Pooley.
