he Bible does Prophesy that the church would fall away for a time, thus the need for a restoration by Joseph Smith.
2 Thessalonians 2
2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.
3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition.
If you think YOUR version is correct, consider. 600 Christian sects. A precise definition of what constitutes Christianity is difficult at best, one Christian group denying another based on arbitrary, man-made opinion. Considering this diversity, it is impossible to define what Christianity is without either rejecting all definitions or adopting one definition as authoritative while excluding all others.Using objective, scientific definition both options are problematic.
Why did Joseph Smith the first Mormon prophet take women in marriage that were already married to other men? These women continued to live with their first husband and have children with their first husband after they were married to Joseph. I don't see women marrying more than one man permitted by God in the bible.
@twoclose2call There is a difference between the sealing ordinance and marriage. For instance, I am sealed to my children, but I am not married to them. Being sealed is the Lord's term for binding families together in a continuous genealogy of patriarchal order. It is how things are organized in eternity, and not in this life. So what Joseph did had eternal significance, but those sealings technically were not marriage, they were not registered with government as such.
Coconinodave, you begin your problem with the fact that you need evidence to prove the book of Mormon true. Proof does not promote faith which is what Christ wants us to develope. You need faith in order to recieve truth!!
As a former Mormon "there went my credibility to all Mormons" there is not one...no not even one morsel of tangible evidence that the book of mormon is true. Not geographically, geologically, anthropologically, archeologically and demographically...zip. Church scholars are now convinced the lands of the book of Mormon are not in Central America but in the northeastern part of the United States.
@coconinodave Same is true of Bible. You are making only the ATHEIST viewpoint there. There is no proof of Jesus Christ being resurrected in archeology, only the proof of the testimony of people. There you go. No physical proof of turning water to wine, or walking on water, or raising the dead. ONLY the testimony of people. There you go.
If you want more proofs for the Book of Mormon, similar to the Bible, well, BOM mentions Jerusalem, doesn't it? There you go. LOL
@coconinodave The scholars don't know a thing about this. They are only in the world of archeology which looks at limited digs and known landmarks. They only have a few pieces of the puzzles. It very well could be in Central America, I sure think so, but I think it can be in both places, all over the place. There is no logical limit to one place or another.
@mormonanswerman That is the most ambiguous reply I have ever received. Archeology is not guess work. It's a science. There should be physical evidence of the effects a million inhabitants on an area would have. Central America has yielded none. So when you say "it could be in Central America...all over the place" it is absolutely ludicrous.
@coconinodave I am sorry, but I don't agree with you. I think archeology IS guess work at best. When you dig something up you are going to be guessing at what it was used for, why it was made, and who used it, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. what a guess this is.
i didnt know anything about mormons. last week ive had a dream. ive learned that i was dreaming ALOT connected about mormons and im going nuts bcause i cant talk to any mormon about it. help anyone
I've studied, researched & pray over whether or not the Book of Mormon is true. Well it's not! Mormonism is a marriage cult. You will not see a cross a Mormon temples. Upside down pentagrams & bulls heads adorn their temples along with other pagan symbols that are almost identical to that of freemasonry of whom Joseph Smith was a 33rd degree freemason. Freemasons by the way worship Lucifer as it's in their dogmas & morals too. Jesus was not Lucifer's brother. Get real.
@truefreedom2011 A marriage cult?! Well, sign me up, I love marriage.
I don't want a cross on my temples or churches, because that cross, to me, means the symbol of the death of Christ. Not His living resurrection. We have angels on top of our temples because those angels represent the VICTORY in Christ, not the tool of His death. You think about that. If Jesus was killed by guns, would we see a gun up there? You think on that.
@mormonanswerman - who ever said that the word Cult was bad? Cult is short for 'Cultivate' and to cultivate a love for Christ and for Mankind couldn't POSSIBLY be bad.
@mormonanswerman Be ye followers of me, brethren, and observe them who walk so as you have our model. For many walk, of whom I have told you often (and now tell you weeping), that they are enemies of the cross of Christ; Whose end is destruction; whose God is their belly; and whose glory is in their shame; who mind earthly things. Philippians 3:17-19 ... the cross is the symbol of Jesus doing the Father's will and not his own. It is through Jesus's cross that we learn to carry our own.
@truefreedom2011 Jesus Christ was meek and inclusive in ALL cases. Yet we have all these Christians today trying to deny Mormons, Catholics, and Jehovahs Witnesses, etal from also calling themselves Christians, because they too believe in Jesus of Nazareth, and the God of Abraham. But we have these PROUD Christians who wear crosses, and parade proudly about persecuting others. You think on that.
@mormonanswerman From that time Jesus began to shew to his disciples, that he must go to Jerusalem, & suffer many things from the ancients & scribes & chief priests, and be put to death, and the third day rise again. & Peter taking him, began to rebuke him, saying: Lord, be it far from thee, this shall not be unto thee.Who turning, said to Peter: Go behind me, Satan, thou art a scandal unto me: because thou savourest not the things that are of God, but the things that are of men.Matthew 16:21-23
@truefreedom2011 Thank you for that wonderful scripture, which I love. I liken it to Jesus teaching that we must follow the SPIRIT of GOD rather than our own thoughts. Peter reacted to the bad men like many Christians today still do, when they openly challenge the atheists, hold huge rallies as a show of force, and yell into microphones to intimidate any who dare to challenge their nativity scene. I understand it, but I don't think Christ would have done THAT.
@mormonanswerman Then Jesus said to his disciples:If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, & follow me.Matt16:24You see the gospel you preach is a false gospel sold by a false prophet.Mormonism is of man not God & is an enemy of the cross. You prefer fallen angels to adorn your gathering places. Interesting you should mention a gun as it's is what killed Joseph Smith who did not give his life but killed two men trying to save his own. YOU think about that.
@truefreedom2011 I love those scriptures you post there. And then you use them against me somehow? That's nonsense. Not if I believe those scriptures are you going to use them against me. Its like me quoting a scripture, and then saying you are an adulterer, or some other judgment, and then saying all kinds of false things about you. Thanks for the scripture, but no thanks for your judgment, as you should be leaving that to God, right?
@truefreedom2011 When I hear Jesus say take up your cross and follow me, I instantly know that its not literal, because we do not use crosses to torture and kill people today, so there are no crosses (except those found at the tops of some churches and around the necks of those who put them there, little symbols for those who DO take this scripture literally). The scripture is obviously symbolic of doing difficult things, like be a true Christian who does not persecute others.
Mormons are taught to give their TESTIMONY it goes something like this: I HAVE A BURNING IN MY BOSSOM. This is a PAT ANSWER something they are taught to say in a response that is a way they can defend their beliefs and is suspose to make everything valid no matter what. When I have a Burning in my Bossom I take ROLAIDS and it GOES AWAY! THE BIBLE is the answer; the Book of Mormon is FALSE. When you modify/change the Word of God to suit YOUR BELIEF STRUCTURE YOU ARE A CULT!
The LDS is under constant attack by Atheists and Perverts,, their tactic is to spread lies on the net to discredit the Mormons.. The LDS are the only christians who stand up politically for what is right and therefore they are the target of the opposition. Also, Romney is a great threat, he is a Mormon and running for President, so the Oppostition is attempting to discredit him by spreading lies about his faith,, ALL LIES!!! Go to mormon.org to know the truth.
@mrslovakkid It is perfectly ok to approve comments on youtube. Or.. maybe you like profanity laced comments on religious channels? Is that how you roll?
@mrslovakkid - not so, kiddo. It's possible that some people would have free-range to use foul language and polute the video comment section. There has to be SOME checks and balances happening with some of these videos. Not to say that you would use foul or dis-respectful language but many people do.
Mormonism, Christianity, Islam, Scientology are all a matter of indoctrination. Any child will take on the religion of his parents. When you are young you believe what your family believes.
Think how easy it is to get kids into the Santa groove. Joeseph Smith's nutty tale is no more credible than Santa. Any parents who were twisted enough could get their kids to believe in Gumby as their personal savior. If you were born in Iraq you'd be out preaching the Quran.
Here's where that theory completely breaks down. Take your hypothetical:
Parents teach Gumby.
Kid becomes teenager.
Friends make fun.
Kid changes story.
End of story.
Kid choose for themselves.
If I grew up in Iraq, I would not be preaching the Quran. I'd be a Christian over there and getting persecuted for that. That's the part that you DON'T get. We choose for ourselves. Like you have chosen to cut yourself off from God.
@HENRYPATRICK1736 A child IS easily indoctrinated by its parents. So? This is not a new idea. Gays try to indoctrinate their adopted kids too, and they do. Schools try to indoctrinate the kids on global warming, evolution, and social justice. You worry that a parent might teach their kid to keep the 10 commandments, like that is something bad to do? Like having fidelity in marriage is a bad thing?
The indoctrination, if about good things, is good. But the kid still chooses
@HENRYPATRICK1736 I would risk losing my family and community if I left the faith? Maybe, but it would probably be MY OWN DOING because I no longer would feel comfortable with those people. Fact is, we associate naturally with those who think like we do and behave like we do. For instance, I am uncomfortable around people who drink heavily and become sexually rude, and throw things, etc. I want to get the heck away from that. I want to leave. So?
@mormonanswerman If you were to be born into a family in North Korea, with no knowledge that any religion existed (other than one of the few that the North Korean government actually approves of, yet through tight censorship) you would therefore NOT be a Christian, which makes your argument with @HENRYPATRICK1736 completely invalid
@mrslovakkid and THAT is why we have missionaries. Thanks for pointing out how important the gospel of Jesus Christ is and how come we need missionaries to bring CHOICES to people.
that is, unless you think being held in captivity under the dark command of a killer is a better life than being say, a Mormon with lots of kids, family, and a happy fun social network, not to mention the gospel of Jesus Christ to give joy and peace on a spiritual level?
@mormonanswerman What you DON'T understand is that your North Korean family also has no knowledge of the Christian faith, the government has been cracking down on foreign missionaries, and the fact that there is way more censorship than you think. There is only 1 authorized t.v. channel (it is heavily bombarded by North Korean propaganda)! How would you even know of the Christian religion in the first place? Remember, having a bible in your possession could mean you can expect to rot in a cell
@mormonanswerman Yeah, missionaries. We are all familiar with "Food for Gospel" programs where missionaries trade nourishment and other things for religious indoctrination. Now if these missionaries taught folks a comparative world religions program then i'd be a bit more impressed. But they don't do they?
They sell their product... mormonism or some form of christianity. You are simply a sales person for MormonCorp.
Yeah we are all familiar with missionaries and their "Food for Gospel" programs where missionaries trade nourishment and other things for religious indoctrination. Now if these missionaries taught folks a comparative world religions program then i'd be a bit more impressed. But they don't do they? Why is that mr. answerman?
@HENRYPATRICK1736 are you kidding me? I would NOT waste my time as a missionary trying to be politically correct and suggest to someone that worshiping idols in a pagan religion was just as valuable a choice as believing in the Book of Mormon or the Bible. There is nothing wrong with providing some service to people, and if they are interested in then talking about their faith choices, nothing wrong with that. No one was forced, and it opens up an opportunity for them.
@x0chrystinax0 that's because you didn't click on the annotation link to hear the words of an Apostle? Why are you annoyed, are you annoyed at the comments of atheists here, or just my comments? Being annoyed is not a good thing anyway.
@2wives1prophet Yes, you're right, Matthew 24 10-14, Jesus said this would happen. 'Then, also, many will be stumbled & will betray one another & will hate one another. and many false prophets will arise & mislead many, & because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off (that's religions)'. 'But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the earth, & then the end will come'.
this really all just amounts to an artfull dodge of the original topic/question. you talk about not feeding meat to babies? well it's true that no religion throws their entire doctrine down potential conerts' throats, we're not talking about the hard-to-grasp theology. we're talking about the bits where mormons claim things like everyone lived with god on another planet before they were born, or that god and his wife are making "spirit children" 24/7 that mormons must then give birth too.
Hmmm here I was thinking that THIS would be a NICE video of someone nicely pointing out that what the missionaries say IS FALSE. That basically what they tell you is TO GET YOU INTO CHURCH. Where you can be roped in FOREVER and be miserable.
Alas it is not and I will pose to you mister answers of the LDS.
@2wives1prophet Yes, people of RELIGION and FAITH are waking up. We are becoming more and more aware of the freedoms that will be lost if atheists, gays, and earth worshiping environmentalist carbon trading liberals continue to push their agendas. We know where that will lead. We have seen the atrocities that atheist people have done, which have far exceeded the mini-atrocities that religionists have done. People without God in their lives are capable of the worst more easily.
@2wives1prophet Oh yes you do. You and so many other atheists sure do. You ALWAYS look to what someone of faith did, and then you apply that to everyone else, even if it were just a few. You still do it. You take a Jim Jones story, for instance, and you talk of kool aid for all other religions. Don't say you don't do it, because you DO. That's why it is ironic that you object to me talking about the orders of magnitude LARGER things that famous ATHEIST have done, but they didn't do it alone
what mormns dont tell you at the door? i geet worry about mormons when they get to inside the mormonism, do you know that is a point in the mormon church where if you whant to get out of there you cant becouse they kill you, they use what they call, THE ANGELS OF THE REVENGE. is a group that want to destroy your life. if you leave the organization. without anyone knowing it was them. i hope you know all this things.
@MrOjodeaguila you sound like the crazy talk of the Salem Witch trials and the frenzy that took place in murdering many women who were not even witches. Superstitious.
@AJSheridan95 I think the real question is, why do atheists hate Christians so much? Its not us that are demanding Christmas trees come down, and no talk of God or religion take place in a government building or a school, etc. Its not us who started this whole thing. We would actually LIKE to just be left alone and allowed to worship how, where, and what we may. We would like that. But the atheists are picking a fight. They are suing Christians. They are making pests of themselves.
@AJSheridan95 When is the last time a Christian got their own version of an ACLU lawyer and sued somebody who did not believe in God (ie an atheist)? It has not happened. It will not happen. Atheists have come here to slam religion in general, and they don't seem to tolerate when atheism is put under the spotlight and examined for what IT has done to the world, for what THEIR people have done. They don't like the story. And you are calling me "hateful" for pointing this out?
@mormonanswerman I'm wondering because you seem to be making the assumption that all atheists are like that. I'm an atheist and I would never even think of suing anyone for their beliefs, unless there was an extremely negative impact on my life because of them. For example if I started being discriminated against because of my lack of belief, which has never happened. Sure we question others' beliefs but rarely with any aggressive intentions. I just hope you realize we aren't all like that.
@AJSheridan95 Yes I do realize that there are individuals and personalities involved. But when Atheism gets the upper hand, like it did in the communist godless countries of Russia and China in recent history, then terribly bad things did happen. If you don't want that to happen, then you need to stop being an atheist and stand up for the kinds of people who believe in the 10 commandments. If you are a nice person, then become a Christian and believe it then. We teach that.
DO YOU PEOPLE THINK THAT IF YOU CHRISTIAN YOU DO GOOD KARMA BULLSHIT LOTS OF CHRISTIANS ARE GREAT PRETENDERS THEY ARE TOO FOCUS ON THE TRADITIONAL WAYS AND LOTS OF SO CALLED CHRISTIANS ARE FAKE WHICH THEY GO TO CHURCH FOR THE FUN OF IT!! IF YOU ARE A TRUE BELIEVER THE ONLY PERSON WILL KNOW IS GOD!! SO THINK ABOUT IT!!
@2wives1prophet Atheism is the divider. Look at the history, the record. I wonder how many families were DIVIDED by atheism in China and Russia in this last century. Oh yes, I do know! 100,000,000 people were separated/divided forcefully from their families by DEATH. How wonderful atheism turned out to be.
We need religion. We need rules. We need faith. We need repentance. We need people to stop making excuses for not believing in God, and recognize the alternative is dangerous.
@mormonanswerman "Dogmatic Atheism", the absolute certainty that there is no god, is to say the least, a rare opinion. Most atheists simply hold it very unlikely that a god exists. Deaths in history have almost never occurred in the name of "no god". The Nazis themselves had "Gott Mit Uns" (god with us) inscribed on their belts. Hitler had referred to the Jews as "Christ Killers". History shows that people are much more dangerous if they think they have god on their side. The Crusades. 9/11.
@inexplicablequantum I don't remember Hitler openly expressing all these things. I remember Jews SILENTLY being sent off in box cars to death camps, and hardly anyone else knew about it or what was REALLY going on. So why don't you check that fact out.
As for danger, the ATHEISTS and FRIENDS in the communist godless atheist by law governments in this world, they did all that murder in the name of their godless decrees. They outlaw religion and then kill 100,000,000? Yes, they did...
@Pianomantodd1 Propaganda? That's what the atheists do. I speak what I believe is truth. I don't have an agenda, but I do know God exists. I do know that atheists are dangerous and have murdered 100s of MILLIONS of people, so I think its important to get that out and accept it, embrace the truth of that, not rewrite history. Hitler and his ilk killed 6 million, but Mao, Stalin, and all their atheist godless ilk killed 100,000,000. We need to hear about that MORE and be wary of atheism.
@mormonanswerman I'm also well aware that I won't be able to convince you that Hitler was a Christian on a comment board on youtube. I'll inform you that the actual historical records of Hitler's motives for killing people. They definitely weren't in the name of "no god". Stalin was atheist and did kill a lot of people. But his motives were entirely political. To say that he killed because of atheism would be like saying he killed because he didn't think Santa would be there to give him presents
@inexplicablequantum That's like saying Bill Gates is a Christian, even though he claims he is an atheist now. Makes no sense to call him a Christian when he is not. Saying Hitler was a Christian while he murders millions of people is ridiculous. Jesus said to love enemies. Jesus taught the 10 commandments still. THAT's the definition of a Christian. Don't call Hitler a Christian. Be smart about it.
@2wives1prophet I feel the SAME WAY about Bush and Obama. Two puppets out of the same mold, and working for their ATHEIST and GODLESS Bilderbergers. There you go.
@mormonanswerman now that is an oxymoron.. and just plain stupid.. one uses religion to push for crap thats ruining the country and the other tries to stay out of that crap.. and is trying to help us get back on our feet.. and being sabatoged by the religous reich.. and neither is an athieist. bush represents what religous nut jobs have done to our country..
@scorand and I don't agree with what Bush did. He was terrible for our country. He grew the government, grew the federal education component in No Child Left Behind, he seemed to me very complicit in the whole 911 false flag fiasco, and used this to start the Iraq war based on the FEAR premise that they had WMD, which they never had, and so millions die, trillions are spent on wasted destruction, and our safety has NOT improved. 911 was an inside job.
@2wives1prophet They are hypocrites. I call murder on US leaders who dropped the bomb on Hiroshima. I said that in my video. I call a spade a spade. There is no way you murder 100,000 women and children with a bomb, and not call that TERRORISM. It was. So don't attribute this to Christianity, because I AM a Christian and I would NOT have done it, and there is no teaching in the Bible that supports such dark deeds. You are talking about what ATHEISTS do. and our "leaders" might have been one!
@2wives1prophet I explain it like this. I explain it that those "christians" are not really Christians at all. In fact, since they murder, they can NOT call themselves a Christian. Jesus Christ taught against those things. I believe we can defend ourselves, but I do not believe we were defending ourselves in the middle east. I believe they were "nation building" or kingmaking, or fighting for oil, and wasting our trillions on destruction. I never supported ANY of it. Still don't.
@2wives1prophet Your views of righteous prophets is an atheist viewpoint. I certainly don't share it.
As for your comment about Stalin acting as ONE man, well, the whole GOVERNMENT was set up as godless. Atheism the STATE RELIGION. You are not getting off that easy. You have millions of ATHEISTS behaving badly, not just Stalin. Same with Mao.
@2wives1prophet If you are helping the homeless, you are being a Christian. Jesus taught that. Atheism never taught anything, so stop identifying atheism with anything good. Atheism is amoral. There is no code of conduct. No gospel. No teaching. Atheism is a void, which you have filled with CHRISTIANITY when you go and help the poor, because Jesus Christ did teach to do that. Its part of the code and the gospel He taught. Keep doing it. It does bring happiness.
@mormonanswerman So are we to understand that Christian ideology has some sort of monopoly on doing good things and being emphatic? If the only path to any such a moral standard is through Christian teachings, how can you account for any one person doing good in cultures that were either older than Christianity or were completely isolated from it? The very word "empathy" has its roots in the Greek language, which predates all of Christianity.
@atan0k Its not a monopoly... but when compared to Atheism which has NOTHING of the kind, I think I am going to point that out. I don't think its productive to attribute to ATHEISM anything good, because there is no such tenet of atheism. Its just this doubter mindset, that's all.
@mormonanswerman Jesus wasn't the only person ever to teach that helping the poor was "good." Atheism doesn't equate to immorality. And claiming to be any part of Christianity doesn't make you a good person.
Atheism doesn't need to teach anything for people to have a conscience of the well-being of others, and doing the "right" thing does not mean you are being a Christian.
@2wives1prophet I'm trying not to laugh here at your extolling the atheists as some role models. No, all we need to do is look at what the ATHEIST and godless countries leaders, who were also atheist, did. They murdered in RECENT YEARS over 100,000,000 people. That's incomprehensible. An incomprehensible number of people. How dare you try to sweep that under the carpet and make atheists look good. No, they aren't.
@mormonanswerman How dare you group people by something that's not at all a defining characteristic?
Most Nazis were Caucasian. Is that an argument against Caucasians?
How is suddenly so urgent that some bad historical personalities were not theists and their defining characteristics and philosophies are so gracefully sidestepped because you'd love to prove a point in an argument?
Even if association fallacy were valid, what makes you ignore all the good people who were not theists?
@atan0k Its not much of a dare, really. Just common sense.
You may be forgetting that the whole GOVERNMENT under these communist regimes was set up as godless. As a rule. As a LAW. Atheism the STATE RELIGION. Christianity did NOT get to have a say in this. They were suppressed. They were killed. You are not getting off that easy. You have millions of ATHEISTS behaving badly, not just Stalin. Same with Mao. You have a religion of sorts, a godless one. They were murderers. Big time.
@mormonanswerman And if ASSOCIATION FALLACY were valid, you are blissfully ignoring all the ATROCITIES COMMITTED IN THE NAME OF CHRIST. The CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION OF THE JEWS that only stopped with its culmination: THE HOLOCAUST. The CRUSADES. The SPANISH INQUISITION. The BRITISH EMPIRE. The WITCH HUNTS, which thanks to missionaries is RECURRING IN AFRICA. The very DARK AGES of Humanity. The oppression of the many CHRISTIAN THEOCRACIES. This list is MANIFOLD if you include other religions.
@2wives1prophet "More lives have been lost in the name of God than any other reason.."
What a tired old worn out atheist lie. All we have to do is think. Think on Mao, the ATHEIST. Think on Stalin the ATHEIST and add up those 100 million for me... and now compare that to what you just said, and you are about a million times off the mark. I know you want it to be true, you want atheism to be true, but it's not. The evidence alone dismisses it as an evil sham, led by mass murderers
@mormonanswerman You don't get to device things are lies because you wish them so. A tired and old worn out argument that is verifiable and has never been refuted is all the more powerful of an argument.
When it conveniences you, age is a virtue and a testament to truth. When you wish it away, age is a sign of irrelevance.
Anyone external to yourself can see the inconsistency of your observation of reality.
@Husavikur Atheists murder hundreds of millions of people, in this century alone. You can't erase that. You can't dismiss that. You certainly can't call it a fairy tale. No, its the awful REALITY of what you people really are, immoral, amoral, and no conscience to do the really bad stuff, and do it without any guilt, without any godly sorrow, and that's the danger of the whole premise. We have Mao and Stalin and ALL THEIR ATHEIST HELPERS to thank for this history lesson. Can't deny it.
The Quakers called themselves the "Society of Friends" I think. To think that Benjamin Franklin had been laid to rest for nearly sixty years when Joseph Smith came along with his snake oil.
@MinisterAilingTongue Benjamin Franklin was one of the greatest men ever. Joseph Smith was greater still. Of course they are going to have similarities. Your cynicism limits your judgment of determining/discerning things good.
The mormons teach that the Native American Indians came from the Middle East. We can prove this is a lie by DNA testing! The genetic data is conclusive, and studies which utilize other methods for determining heritage (such as dental, osteological [study of bones], and molecular studies) confirm that the descent of the Native American is Asian, not Israelite.
@robertbright777 No, no, and no! Stop with the bogus comparisons. The DNA is not even a relevant argument. DNA corresponds to skin color, hair color, etc., and the Book of Mormon record states that God changed all these so what that means to the logical mind, is that God changed the DNA. So stop comparing it. It is supposed to be different. You are MAKING THE CASE for the Book of Mormon, and strangely you think just the opposite. No, the DNA is NOT supposed to the same as Jews.
@mormonanswerman DNA is the total makeup of a race period. So if there were any Jew in the Indians we would know about it. I see how this works now. Anything I say to prove your wrong scientifically, your only response will be "o, God changed this or that" or "God did it". I hate to burst your bubble but God is a scientific God and he's not afraid of science because he's not hiding or changing because the Bible says God never changes.
@robertbright777 No its not some special answer for you. It just makes sense. If God changed the man, then God changed the man and the DNA is NOT going to match up anymore. So making comparisons of American Indians to Jewish people was a pretty stupid experiment/premise to follow. It is time that people started THINKING about how to prove something true or false rather than just run with the nonsense of the whole DNA argument. The DNA would be DIFFERENT. But they didn't even see that! LOL?
@mormonanswerman So that's your only response. God changed the DNA? The very thing that brings down the whole mormon cult's believes, you say, oh we can overlook that because God changed the mans race. I really wish you could see how ignorant that argument is.
@robertbright777 Book of Mormon says God changed the race. To me, that means that God changed the DNA, like Jesus can turn water into wine and change up elements into other elements like that, God can change the man. He did. So as long as changes were made, HOW can any scientific experiment on DNA make ANY sense on this? Its like a total stab in the dark on what might or might not have happened. You can't even make a proper assumption on the thing. That's why I put LOL up there...
@mormonanswerman the book of mormon was written by a false prophet so it doesn't matter what it says. There is no credibility in j.smiths tall tales. I can't believe i'm even debating with you over this right now. I mean I can believe that Jesus had the power to come to the indians but you when you start making excuses to do away with scientific testing then that's when the conversation is over.
@robertbright777 Is that right? You have THAT much trust in science over faith? That is not a man of faith. That is a man who trusts in man. Tell me, how would you conduct a science experiment to prove the miracles of Jesus Christ? When He walks on water and defies the laws of gravity like that, what is the science experiment that can be done to validate that event? You hopefully know there IS none. What science to examine water turning into wine? You know there's none. Why elevate it??
@mormonanswerman Wow, that's a pretty ambitious claim that I trust in man and not God. I guess you don't believe in medical science either then. I have faith that Jesus did all those things, but they can also be proven by historical evidence which is a form of science.
@robertbright777 Medical science and doctors is not miracles. They are skilled in working with the body, but the body has to cooperate with their decisions or the people die, or get sicker, if the miracle of the body does not happen, the doctor looks like a fraud, a quack. Do you understand this?
Jesus walked on water. No scientist understands what allowed this, and so they assume he must have been walking on ice, even though Peter sank in WATER.
@robertbright777 I have witnesses from God again and again that Joseph Smith was indeed a prophet and the Book of Mormon is true, and the Church of Jesus Christ was restored. Those three things built on the foundation that Jesus is the Christ, the most wonderful truth of all, are constantly manifest to me by the power of the Holy Ghost. They would be to you too if you had not closed your mind to it. God does not open the door, WE do. We must be receptive. We must open that door and listen.
@mormonanswerman Your witnesses of Smith are not of God but from Satan your brother. You would be a dangerous tool of God if you really knew anything of the Holy Ghost.
@robertbright777 I follow Jesus Christ, and you do not even follow the Sermon on the Mount. How is that that you say I am of satan, when you are not following Jesus Christ and His plain teachings in Matthew 5-7?
@Husavikur Your "reality" is shameful. Its the cause, its the proof, the history, of an evil mindset that can kill hundreds of millions of people. ATHEIST governments, the worst players in the world. The worst reputation in the world, the whole history of the world. When one counts the MAGNITUDE of what the ATHEISTS did in this last century alone, there is nothing to compare to it, so, all I can say is take your delusion and look in the mirror. Its what you are becoming.
@2wives1prophet Those countries are very SMALL. They don't have the component of POWER that Russia and China had when they committed atrocities beyond the imagination. Give Sweden, France, Japan, etc. POWER and we shall see if absolutely power corrupts absolutely. It will, UNLESS they are men of GOD.
@scorand I have a grip on the reality of HISTORY. I have the strong evidences of what atheist nations have done to hundreds of millions of people. I can see what a people lacking in a belief in God can do. They can murder hundreds of millions of people. I have a strong grip on THAT reality. You should RUN from Atheism. It is much much much more dangerous than the "koolaid" you accuse US of drinking. People DIE from Atheism. LOTS of people do.
@mormonanswerman you have your churches propaganda.. and weak propaganda at that.. and not even close to accuracy or evidence.. yea a lot of people died because they didnt believe as told them to. but it was done by the hand of religious nut jobs. you only have to look at the mid east to see the obvious. so save the excuses for others like you who dont or wont look at the truth.
@scorand No you will see that I am very open minded. I consider the truth and the error of things. I don't hold any punches for Romney just because he's a Mormon or not. If he is for bigger government, for continuing those wars in the middle east, and the lastest tough talk about Iran makes me think HE IS, I am not going to be voting for him, no way.
Ron Paul makes sense to me. He has championed the Constitution and I like that. He also is CONSISTENT. I like that too. No flipflops
@2wives1prophet The countries you mention are SMALL, and LITTLE INSIGNIFICANT ones, with no might, no power, no ability to do what Stalin and Mao, etal did. GIve those atheist countries masses of people, masses of resources, and THEN we can see how peaceful they remain. No, I can PREDICT and I am not even a prophet. I merely have history on my side of logic, that shows PATTERNS of what people do under similar circumstances. Money and absolute power corrupts absolutely. A truism. Historical.
historical accounts of atheistic societies with a significant military power & record of using their power to harm others ... is an oximoron! military (communist) dictatorship regimes, where the ultimate ruler as in many cases is equal to a "god" in terms of worship, power & rights like stalin, mao, kim jong-il, hitler are closer to a medieval monarchy that anything atheism could ever spit out O_o your lack of historical knowledge & display of willful ignorance is frightening
@Medhiv83 You're a gamer, let's start with that. That's frightening to shape your worldview from games, if you want to talk about a willful mindset, and a desensitization towards death. No wonder the Mao/Stalin episode means very little, and you want to call me ignorant for pointing out that these men were also ATHEISTS? Maybe if they had of been a CHRISTIAN there never would have been 100,000,000 dead. Maybe? No, ABSOLUTELY! No Christian man living the gospel has EVER done that.
@atan0k and you speak like a freak that tries to sound intelligent, so? Why not just make points, instead of sounding so pompous about everything... why not just speak plainly instead of making me wonder what you actually were trying to say? Do you have any idea of how to communicate? Its not that way. If you can't get it done in less sentences than that, then you need to work on it.
a civilized discourse seems to be rather impossible with you & thanks for proving that without my need to interfere. you are right though, my horrific atheistic world-view & indifference towards death (scary) stems from all those brutal games i played O_o you not only prejudge people & ideas without understanding them (or the capactity to do so) but also stupendously put out claims that are base-less, doctrine-driven & like a number of them simply wrong, by historical accounts
@Medhiv83 You too are speaking on long drawn out run on sentences, that make my head hurt to try and figure out what it is you are trying to say. I say, if you can't get it done in 30 or 40 words or LESS, work harder at it. Besides, it SOUNDS ridiculous when you read it. Have you thought of that? You want civility, lets start with not speaking pompous, ok?
@atan0k I want to see how you compare the attrocities of Christianity with those of Atheism. You have not done that. You keep avoiding that, probably because of what Mao and Stalin did recently.
@mormonanswerman You keep trying to get away with nonsensical arguments based on Mao and Stalin.
ANY state that enforces a belief or lack thereof is WRONG. But that flies right over your head - you equate a SECULAR state with one that PROSECUTES RELIGION. And you have NO PROBLEM attributing the atrocities such states to a LACK OF BELIEF that defines them as much as saying that cigarettes are NOT CUBIC, followed by affirming that things that are not cubic are bad for your lungs.
@atan0k It is NOT nonsense. And it is NOT just Mao and Stalin. You must realize that those two men did not do all of this ALONE. No, they had millions of willing and ATHEIST accomplices. It was a whole nation gone amuck. We can see what Atheism does. We can view the proof and history of it.
@Pianomantodd1 vague generalizations, no basis in fact or true history. You keep convincing yourself. Its the atheists who have done all of the gross attrocities in this world. We DO have proof and recent history for all that. Its called China and Russia, with Mao and Stalin at the head of the atheist snake.
@Pianomantodd1 I am thinking that killing of 100,000,000 in this century by atheists is probably the major problem that took place in the history of the world. What do you think? You want to talk about the burning of a few witches? I am going to talk about MEGA millions dead at the hands of ATHEISTS and I am going to keep saying it until you atheists get it through your thick stubborn heads that it is not the religious people in this world who cause the BIG problems. Its the atheists.
@mormonanswerman Religion has killed more people than anything else. The crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, The HOLOCAUST just to name a few. Millions of innocents have been killed over a non existent magical asshole who dose nothing to help the world and only lets people live so they can serve him. So what were you saying about atheism, atheism has killed no one.
@Finestassassin45 What a lie. Hitler was an atheist FAKE christian liar, who did NOT practice the Christian doctrines. Its like an atheist who says he is an atheist and then preaches Jesus Christ every chance he takes. Reverse this, and you have HITLER. Get real man.
Atheism killed 100,000,000 in this century alone. The godless atheists.
@mormonanswerman Whoa whoa Mormons. I am The Mediocre Mormon. Why do you even care what these clowns think? I find these videos amusing cause most Mormons get upset. Why allow these clowns to stroke your faith? Keep believing and keep up the faith. All you are doing is adding logs to the fire. Ignore their videos. They can make Me MaD any day cause EyE MaD.
@LDStorminMormon Hi there. First off, I don't watch their videos. I do respond to most all of the comments that come in on this one. I think it might be helpful that an alternative point of logic be made on this stuff, so I write it. I am sure it stokes their fire, because most are not persuaded. But still, I think I speak the truth on all this, and so I say it. I do speak my mind on it, and I do tire of the lies that never go challenged. Doing a little push back, throw the "logic" back.
Hitler's Catholicism is well-documented; though not observant, his and his countrymen's (largely Lutheran) antisemitism was DIRECTLY drawn from longstanding christian doctrines that sought to convert, exclude, and/or exterminate Jews. Understand too that so-called 'atheist' leaders who are worshiped as saviors, given godlike powers over life and death, and run totalitarian states does NOT resemble anything skeptical: we usually don't follow dictators, divine or earthly.
@plightweisgoff Bill Gates Catholic upbringing is ALSO well documented. But somewhere along the line, he converted away from that and into godless ATHEISM. His loss.
Same with Hitler. I seriously doubt he was going to church each sunday as he ordered millions of Jews to get in box cars and go to the gas chambers to be murdered. I seriously doubt you could call that works done in the name of Christianity. Its unbiblical. Its anti Christ. Its murder. 10 commandments teach against it. So?
Bill Gates' "loss"... of what? As for Hitler, his minions, and the German people in general: most all were observant theists who shifted some of their faithful zealotry to the regime's absolutism and its savior-like leaders. Unbiblical, no... the Blood Libel and the antisemitic violence it engendered was a CHRISTIAN invention; the apocalyptic narratives of Revelations provided the Nazi's a ready framework for the Holocaust and total-war devastation.
Could you --explain-- why you think my comments are lies? The history here is pretty open-and-shut; need I again point out Catholic Blood Libel (only withdrawn in the 60's), antisemitic Passion Plays in Germany since the 1300s, the Work of Martin Luther himself: "The Jews and Their Lies", numerous pogroms across Europe... etc... etc.
@plightweisgoff Yes your lies have to do with statements such as "christian invention"
As a christian, this is offensive, to hear people say that what I believe, Jesus Christ, is somehow "dangerous" and the root cause of all evil in the world. Evil is the OPPOSITE of Jesus Christ. It is satanic. So when one says they do not believe in God, this by default is satanic because you can't serve two masters, you are serving one or the other, It is obvious what YOU have chosen.
I never claimed that Christianity was the root of ALL evil in the world, but it IS the source of antisemitism and the violence it engenders; this is undeniable, particularly when seen in the larger contexts of what you have illustrated: absolute belief in a cosmic war for supremacy forms the groundwork for atrocity against those serving the 'other master'.
@plightweisgoff Mao and Stalin were atheists. Call them what you want. They were atheists. They got a lot of other people to go along with all that, and they too, were atheists. Stalin and Mao did not pull the triggers. Millions of other ATHEISTS pulled the triggers to kill other people. Hitler could only get a relative FEW to do his SATAN work. But Mao and Stalin were able to get the MASSES to mobilize. Don't you see how atheism is more dangerous than anything we've seen???
Again, Stalin was trained as a priest... he understood well how becoming an absolute patriarch might be advantageous, given the history of the Russian Orthodox church and the bloodshed and domination it facilitated. Mao became a savior-figure who also wielded godlike power (for a time); not exactly a skeptic who encouraged non-belief. In short, even if Mao and Stalin were 'atheists' as with their followers, they merely ---reproduced absolutist theistic frameworks---.
@plightweisgoff As painful as it is for me to allow this post, in the name of free speech I allow your LIES to spew forth...
There is just no response that my brain can muster that isn't painful, because it pains me to know that you still won't get it, won't acknowledge that atheism was the real cause of the 100,000,000 murders in communist China and Russia, and that Christians just don't do that. You know that. You absolutely know Christians do not do this. Shameful, painful.
@mormonanswerman NONE of the people that slaughtered and continue to slaughter do it because they are atheists, they do it because they are murderers. Hitler was a mass murderer and was Catholic. Moses was a mass murderer and believed God told him to do it. The point is that just because they dont fear a fairytale it doesnt make them more dangerous. In fact many every year kill in the name of the Abrahamic God, one just has to look at the middle east. Want to guess how many?
@sean32laf Atheism engenders murderers then. Let history be your guide on this. Look at the statistics then. We have two large communist countries, where atheism is the state "religion" because religion or belief in God is outlawed and punished... godless... and those people in those lands assisted in and went along with, the murder of 100 MILLION people. You think on that.
I say, if they were Christians, they would have risen up and revolted BEFORE that ever happened!@!!!
@2wives1prophet The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not, at its core, a religious one. It arises out of a dispute over self-determination and land. Hamas and the extreme orthodox parties in Israel may advance theological claims – "God gave us this land" and so forth – but the conflict would remain essentially the same even without these religious motives. Ethnic rivalry, not religion, is the source of the tension in Northern Ireland and the Balkans.
@2wives1prophet You are forgetting MAO. The best example of religious persecution in America is the Salem witch trials. How many people were killed in those trials? Thousands? Hundreds? Actually, fewer than 25. Yet the event still haunts the liberal imagination.
@2wives1prophet Claiming and BEING are two different things. Jesus said and taught BY THEIR FRUIT YE SHALL KNOW THEM and I am sticking with that. I am going to look at the deeds of people and not just the words they say. Both matter, but deed matter most.
you want to judge people by their deeds? a bold & admirable statement, however as someone, holding a believe you have no means of ever understanding the motivation & deeds of an atheist, save for reaching this point yourself an becoming one ... i'm not trying to be rude here or something, simply explaining the oneway train to atheism. the only thing to counter it naturally, would be evidence for god, which isn't even adequately described by saying that it's "highly unlikely"
@Medhiv83 You only say you are an atheist. It is without morals, without codes of conduct. There is nothing within the VOID of atheism that says what to do, one way or another. Its wide open to interpretation and definition then. If you don't like it, why don't atheists stand for something? Then the rest of us wouldn't have to define it for you by some of your major players in it, like Mao and Stalin. They stood for something. They stood for death and power. Atheists.
@mormonanswerman Atheism does not speak to morality and it is invalid to attempt to tie it to any moral standpoint. That being said to be atheist does not mean you are amoral, simply that you derive your standards from another source but religion. There are many healthy places to from which to draw your own moral center without resorting to mysticism. Any claim to the contrary is patently false and wishful thinking on your part in an effort to claim some kind of superiority that does not exist.
@sharper68 BECAUSE Atheism does NOT speak to any specific morality, it directly stands for Amorality. Don't you see that??
You can't serve two masters, either you have morals or you do not. Atheism does NOT teach you morals. It teaches one of the most pernicious lies however, that God does not exist and there are no commandments and moral codes then. Anything goes, because there is no God.
Don't pretend you have a conscience while you say there is no God. That's nonsense.
@mormonanswerman No I do not see that at all, your logic is erroneous. There are lots of choices we make that do not speak to our morality atheism is one of them. Because I choose not to believe in Santa or the tooth fairy does not speak to my morality either Those choices based on logic are decisions but do not speak to the source of nature of my morality. I disagree morality comes from your god, you judge me as not having the same quality of morality as you and I wholly disagree.
@sharper68 Patently false? We have HISTORY on the side of reason. The Atheists have had the most terrible record. There is a reason for that. You need to look at the most BASIC tenet of atheism then, and that is the lie that there is no God. If you don't like what Mao and Stalin recently did to 100,000,000 people, then you need to look at what SHAPED them. Atheism is the common thread. Atheism is the reason. When God is removed, "Thou shalt not kill" becomes irrelevant. That's clear.
@mormonanswerman Religions have a terrible record that continues to this very day. Religious communities have inspired the shooting of doctors and the cleansing of villages in Africa. Religiosity has no claim to a high ground of decency. Both Mao and Stalin created a pseudo religions of the state and personality replacing god with themselves and country. It is the always religious the true believers who are free to kill in the name of their gods or leaders, death squads are always fanatics.
@mormonanswerman Atheism has no tenets but one, the lack of belief in a god. You attempt to characterize the movement by defining it in the same terms as your religion and that is your failure. Atheism has no tenets,it has no dogma there are no guiding principles. Because we do not derive our moral center from a belief in God does not mean we do not have one as valid or as failed as yours. To suggest otherwise is dead wrong. Religious people certainly have no monopoly on morality.
@mormonanswerman You speak as if atheism is some sort of characterizable group of people.
This problem is caused by the existence of the widely misunderstood label "atheist".
Before you misuse the term in communication or thought, replace it by "people who don't experience a belief in a God", or "not theistic" as a short-hand.
To someone who understands the concepts, what you said is comparable to turning to people who don't collect stamps and likening them to Napoleon on those grounds.
@atan0k ah, your arguments are just weak... they hold no power, no convincing power. Atheism is responsible for the most wickedness and harm to mankind in this world we live in, and you refuse to believe it because you are blind. It is plain. Don't believe in God, in fact, preach that God does NOT exist, because that's what you guys DO, you will indeed end up with a body of people, a "characterizable group" that is capable of doing MEGA mass murder. We have the proof of that. We have HISTORY.
@mormonanswerman You are dead wrong, in the case of Russia the church was attacked because it was a tool of the former Zar and was competing for power. The church that was attacked was a holy organization that allowed 1000's to starve and was part of a repressive regime that encouraged a whole country to rise up and revolt. They were not remotely moral and offered to the people besides a demand for subservience to the Zar. Your view of history is very self serving and entirely flawed.
What happened to the sound on this video all I can hear is music over your dialogue :/

he Bible does Prophesy that the church would fall away for a time, thus the need for a restoration by Joseph Smith.

I don't see women marrying more than one man permitted by God in the bible.
twoclose2call 1 month ago

2p2h2i2l2i2p 1 month ago
As a former Mormon "there went my credibility to all Mormons" there is not one...no not even one morsel of tangible evidence that the book of mormon is true. Not geographically, geologically, anthropologically, archeologically and demographically...zip. Church scholars are now convinced the lands of the book of Mormon are not in Central America but in the northeastern part of the United States.
coconinodave 1 month ago
@coconinodave Same is true of Bible. You are making only the ATHEIST viewpoint there. There is no proof of Jesus Christ being resurrected in archeology, only the proof of the testimony of people. There you go. No physical proof of turning water to wine, or walking on water, or raising the dead. ONLY the testimony of people. There you go.
If you want more proofs for the Book of Mormon, similar to the Bible, well, BOM mentions Jerusalem, doesn't it? There you go. LOL
mormonanswerman 1 month ago
@coconinodave The scholars don't know a thing about this. They are only in the world of archeology which looks at limited digs and known landmarks. They only have a few pieces of the puzzles. It very well could be in Central America, I sure think so, but I think it can be in both places, all over the place. There is no logical limit to one place or another.
mormonanswerman 1 month ago
@mormonanswerman That is the most ambiguous reply I have ever received. Archeology is not guess work. It's a science. There should be physical evidence of the effects a million inhabitants on an area would have. Central America has yielded none. So when you say "it could be in Central America...all over the place" it is absolutely ludicrous.
coconinodave 1 month ago
@coconinodave I am sorry, but I don't agree with you. I think archeology IS guess work at best. When you dig something up you are going to be guessing at what it was used for, why it was made, and who used it, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. what a guess this is.

Get real.
truefreedom2011 1 month ago
@truefreedom2011 A marriage cult?! Well, sign me up, I love marriage.
I don't want a cross on my temples or churches, because that cross, to me, means the symbol of the death of Christ. Not His living resurrection. We have angels on top of our temples because those angels represent the VICTORY in Christ, not the tool of His death. You think about that. If Jesus was killed by guns, would we see a gun up there? You think on that.
mormonanswerman 1 month ago
@mormonanswerman - who ever said that the word Cult was bad? Cult is short for 'Cultivate' and to cultivate a love for Christ and for Mankind couldn't POSSIBLY be bad.
successlosing 1 month ago
@mormonanswerman Be ye followers of me, brethren, and observe them who walk so as you have our model. For many walk, of whom I have told you often (and now tell you weeping), that they are enemies of the cross of Christ; Whose end is destruction; whose God is their belly; and whose glory is in their shame; who mind earthly things. Philippians 3:17-19 ... the cross is the symbol of Jesus doing the Father's will and not his own. It is through Jesus's cross that we learn to carry our own.
truefreedom2011 1 month ago
@truefreedom2011 Jesus Christ was meek and inclusive in ALL cases. Yet we have all these Christians today trying to deny Mormons, Catholics, and Jehovahs Witnesses, etal from also calling themselves Christians, because they too believe in Jesus of Nazareth, and the God of Abraham. But we have these PROUD Christians who wear crosses, and parade proudly about persecuting others. You think on that.
mormonanswerman 1 month ago
@mormonanswerman From that time Jesus began to shew to his disciples, that he must go to Jerusalem, & suffer many things from the ancients & scribes & chief priests, and be put to death, and the third day rise again. & Peter taking him, began to rebuke him, saying: Lord, be it far from thee, this shall not be unto thee.Who turning, said to Peter: Go behind me, Satan, thou art a scandal unto me: because thou savourest not the things that are of God, but the things that are of men.Matthew 16:21-23
truefreedom2011 1 month ago
@truefreedom2011 Thank you for that wonderful scripture, which I love. I liken it to Jesus teaching that we must follow the SPIRIT of GOD rather than our own thoughts. Peter reacted to the bad men like many Christians today still do, when they openly challenge the atheists, hold huge rallies as a show of force, and yell into microphones to intimidate any who dare to challenge their nativity scene. I understand it, but I don't think Christ would have done THAT.
mormonanswerman 1 month ago
@mormonanswerman Then Jesus said to his disciples:If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, & follow me.Matt16:24You see the gospel you preach is a false gospel sold by a false prophet.Mormonism is of man not God & is an enemy of the cross. You prefer fallen angels to adorn your gathering places. Interesting you should mention a gun as it's is what killed Joseph Smith who did not give his life but killed two men trying to save his own. YOU think about that.
truefreedom2011 1 month ago
@truefreedom2011 I love those scriptures you post there. And then you use them against me somehow? That's nonsense. Not if I believe those scriptures are you going to use them against me. Its like me quoting a scripture, and then saying you are an adulterer, or some other judgment, and then saying all kinds of false things about you. Thanks for the scripture, but no thanks for your judgment, as you should be leaving that to God, right?
mormonanswerman 1 month ago

HENRYPATRICK1736 1 month ago
@HENRYPATRICK1736 Heard that before.
Here's where that theory completely breaks down. Take your hypothetical:
Parents teach Gumby.
Kid becomes teenager.
Friends make fun.
Kid changes story.
End of story.
Kid choose for themselves.
If I grew up in Iraq, I would not be preaching the Quran. I'd be a Christian over there and getting persecuted for that. That's the part that you DON'T get. We choose for ourselves. Like you have chosen to cut yourself off from God.
mormonanswerman 1 month ago
@mormonanswerman Completely breaks down? Heck, you admit in your example that a child is easily indoctrinated by parents.
You would be indoctrinated by your parents into Islam if you were born in Iraq.
You would NOT be made fun of because your beliefs would be reinforced by community and or church.
You would risk losing your family and community if you left the faith.
The odds of you changing your faith away from Islam are slim to none.

So?

@mormonanswerman If you were to be born into a family in North Korea, with no knowledge that any religion existed (other than one of the few that the North Korean government actually approves of, yet through tight censorship) you would therefore NOT be a Christian, which makes your argument with @HENRYPATRICK1736 completely invalid
mrslovakkid 1 month ago
@mrslovakkid and THAT is why we have missionaries. Thanks for pointing out how important the gospel of Jesus Christ is and how come we need missionaries to bring CHOICES to people.
that is, unless you think being held in captivity under the dark command of a killer is a better life than being say, a Mormon with lots of kids, family, and a happy fun social network, not to mention the gospel of Jesus Christ to give joy and peace on a spiritual level?
mormonanswerman 1 month ago
@mormonanswerman What you DON'T understand is that your North Korean family also has no knowledge of the Christian faith, the government has been cracking down on foreign missionaries, and the fact that there is way more censorship than you think. There is only 1 authorized t.v. channel (it is heavily bombarded by North Korean propaganda)! How would you even know of the Christian religion in the first place? Remember, having a bible in your possession could mean you can expect to rot in a cell
mrslovakkid 1 month ago
@mormonanswerman Yeah, missionaries. We are all familiar with "Food for Gospel" programs where missionaries trade nourishment and other things for religious indoctrination. Now if these missionaries taught folks a comparative world religions program then i'd be a bit more impressed. But they don't do they?
They sell their product... mormonism or some form of christianity. You are simply a sales person for MormonCorp.

People without God in their lives are capable of the worst more easily.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@2wives1prophet Oh yes you do. You and so many other atheists sure do. You ALWAYS look to what someone of faith did, and then you apply that to everyone else, even if it were just a few. You still do it. You take a Jim Jones story, for instance, and you talk of kool aid for all other religions. Don't say you don't do it, because you DO. That's why it is ironic that you object to me talking about the orders of magnitude LARGER things that famous ATHEIST have done, but they didn't do it alone

why do you hate atheists so much?
AJSheridan95 2 months ago
@AJSheridan95 I think the real question is, why do atheists hate Christians so much? Its not us that are demanding Christmas trees come down, and no talk of God or religion take place in a government building or a school, etc. Its not us who started this whole thing. We would actually LIKE to just be left alone and allowed to worship how, where, and what we may. We would like that. But the atheists are picking a fight. They are suing Christians. They are making pests of themselves.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@AJSheridan95 When is the last time a Christian got their own version of an ACLU lawyer and sued somebody who did not believe in God (ie an atheist)? It has not happened. It will not happen. Atheists have come here to slam religion in general, and they don't seem to tolerate when atheism is put under the spotlight and examined for what IT has done to the world, for what THEIR people have done. They don't like the story. And you are calling me "hateful" for pointing this out?
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman I'm wondering because you seem to be making the assumption that all atheists are like that. I'm an atheist and I would never even think of suing anyone for their beliefs, unless there was an extremely negative impact on my life because of them. For example if I started being discriminated against because of my lack of belief, which has never happened. Sure we question others' beliefs but rarely with any aggressive intentions. I just hope you realize we aren't all like that.
AJSheridan95 2 months ago
@AJSheridan95 Yes I do realize that there are individuals and personalities involved. But when Atheism gets the upper hand, like it did in the communist godless countries of Russia and China in recent history, then terribly bad things did happen. If you don't want that to happen, then you need to stop being an atheist and stand up for the kinds of people who believe in the 10 commandments. If you are a nice person, then become a Christian and believe it then. We teach that.

We need people to stop making excuses for not believing in God, and recognize the alternative is dangerous.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman "Dogmatic Atheism", the absolute certainty that there is no god, is to say the least, a rare opinion. Most atheists simply hold it very unlikely that a god exists. Deaths in history have almost never occurred in the name of "no god". The Nazis themselves had "Gott Mit Uns" (god with us) inscribed on their belts. Hitler had referred to the Jews as "Christ Killers". History shows that people are much more dangerous if they think they have god on their side. The Crusades. 9/11.
inexplicablequantum 2 months ago
@inexplicablequantum I don't remember Hitler openly expressing all these things. I remember Jews SILENTLY being sent off in box cars to death camps, and hardly anyone else knew about it or what was REALLY going on. So why don't you check that fact out.
As for danger, the ATHEISTS and FRIENDS in the communist godless atheist by law governments in this world, they did all that murder in the name of their godless decrees. They outlaw religion and then kill 100,000,000? Yes, they did...
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
Stop spreading propaganda. Everything you say is false.
Pianomantodd1 2 months ago 13
@Pianomantodd1 Propaganda? That's what the atheists do. I speak what I believe is truth. I don't have an agenda, but I do know God exists. I do know that atheists are dangerous and have murdered 100s of MILLIONS of people, so I think its important to get that out and accept it, embrace the truth of that, not rewrite history. Hitler and his ilk killed 6 million, but Mao, Stalin, and all their atheist godless ilk killed 100,000,000. We need to hear about that MORE and be wary of atheism.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman I'm also well aware that I won't be able to convince you that Hitler was a Christian on a comment board on youtube. I'll inform you that the actual historical records of Hitler's motives for killing people. They definitely weren't in the name of "no god". Stalin was atheist and did kill a lot of people. But his motives were entirely political. To say that he killed because of atheism would be like saying he killed because he didn't think Santa would be there to give him presents
inexplicablequantum 2 months ago
@inexplicablequantum That's like saying Bill Gates is a Christian, even though he claims he is an atheist now. Makes no sense to call him a Christian when he is not. Saying Hitler was a Christian while he murders millions of people is ridiculous. Jesus said to love enemies. Jesus taught the 10 commandments still. THAT's the definition of a Christian. Don't call Hitler a Christian. Be smart about it.

You are talking about what ATHEISTS do. and our "leaders" might have been one!
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@2wives1prophet I explain it like this. I explain it that those "christians" are not really Christians at all. In fact, since they murder, they can NOT call themselves a Christian. Jesus Christ taught against those things. I believe we can defend ourselves, but I do not believe we were defending ourselves in the middle east. I believe they were "nation building" or kingmaking, or fighting for oil, and wasting our trillions on destruction. I never supported ANY of it. Still don't.

It does bring happiness.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman So are we to understand that Christian ideology has some sort of monopoly on doing good things and being emphatic? If the only path to any such a moral standard is through Christian teachings, how can you account for any one person doing good in cultures that were either older than Christianity or were completely isolated from it? The very word "empathy" has its roots in the Greek language, which predates all of Christianity.
atan0k 2 months ago
@atan0k Its not a monopoly... but when compared to Atheism which has NOTHING of the kind, I think I am going to point that out. I don't think its productive to attribute to ATHEISM anything good, because there is no such tenet of atheism. Its just this doubter mindset, that's all.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman Jesus wasn't the only person ever to teach that helping the poor was "good." Atheism doesn't equate to immorality. And claiming to be any part of Christianity doesn't make you a good person.
Atheism doesn't need to teach anything for people to have a conscience of the well-being of others, and doing the "right" thing does not mean you are being a Christian.
WickedCentury 2 months ago
@2wives1prophet I'm trying not to laugh here at your extolling the atheists as some role models. No, all we need to do is look at what the ATHEIST and godless countries leaders, who were also atheist, did. They murdered in RECENT YEARS over 100,000,000 people. That's incomprehensible. An incomprehensible number of people. How dare you try to sweep that under the carpet and make atheists look good. No, they aren't.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman How dare you group people by something that's not at all a defining characteristic?
Most Nazis were Caucasian. Is that an argument against Caucasians?
How is suddenly so urgent that some bad historical personalities were not theists and their defining characteristics and philosophies are so gracefully sidestepped because you'd love to prove a point in an argument?
Even if association fallacy were valid, what makes you ignore all the good people who were not theists?
atan0k 2 months ago
@atan0k Its not much of a dare, really. Just common sense.
You may be forgetting that the whole GOVERNMENT under these communist regimes was set up as godless. As a rule. As a LAW. Atheism the STATE RELIGION. Christianity did NOT get to have a say in this. They were suppressed. They were killed. You are not getting off that easy. You have millions of ATHEISTS behaving badly, not just Stalin. Same with Mao. You have a religion of sorts, a godless one. They were murderers. Big time.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago

The mormons teach that the Native American Indians came from the Middle East. We can prove this is a lie by DNA testing! The genetic data is conclusive, and studies which utilize other methods for determining heritage (such as dental, osteological [study of bones], and molecular studies) confirm that the descent of the Native American is Asian, not Israelite.
robertbright777 2 months ago
@robertbright777 No, no, and no! Stop with the bogus comparisons. The DNA is not even a relevant argument. DNA corresponds to skin color, hair color, etc., and the Book of Mormon record states that God changed all these so what that means to the logical mind, is that God changed the DNA. So stop comparing it. It is supposed to be different. You are MAKING THE CASE for the Book of Mormon, and strangely you think just the opposite. No, the DNA is NOT supposed to the same as Jews.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman DNA is the total makeup of a race period. So if there were any Jew in the Indians we would know about it. I see how this works now. Anything I say to prove your wrong scientifically, your only response will be "o, God changed this or that" or "God did it". I hate to burst your bubble but God is a scientific God and he's not afraid of science because he's not hiding or changing because the Bible says God never changes.
robertbright777 2 months ago
@robertbright777 No its not some special answer for you. It just makes sense. If God changed the man, then God changed the man and the DNA is NOT going to match up anymore. So making comparisons of American Indians to Jewish people was a pretty stupid experiment/premise to follow. It is time that people started THINKING about how to prove something true or false rather than just run with the nonsense of the whole DNA argument. The DNA would be DIFFERENT. But they didn't even see that! LOL?
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman So that's your only response. God changed the DNA? The very thing that brings down the whole mormon cult's believes, you say, oh we can overlook that because God changed the mans race. I really wish you could see how ignorant that argument is.
robertbright777 2 months ago
@robertbright777 Book of Mormon says God changed the race. To me, that means that God changed the DNA, like Jesus can turn water into wine and change up elements into other elements like that, God can change the man. He did. So as long as changes were made, HOW can any scientific experiment on DNA make ANY sense on this? Its like a total stab in the dark on what might or might not have happened. You can't even make a proper assumption on the thing. That's why I put LOL up there...
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman the book of mormon was written by a false prophet so it doesn't matter what it says. There is no credibility in j.smiths tall tales. I can't believe i'm even debating with you over this right now. I mean I can believe that Jesus had the power to come to the indians but you when you start making excuses to do away with scientific testing then that's when the conversation is over.
robertbright777 2 months ago
@robertbright777 Is that right? You have THAT much trust in science over faith? That is not a man of faith. That is a man who trusts in man. Tell me, how would you conduct a science experiment to prove the miracles of Jesus Christ? When He walks on water and defies the laws of gravity like that, what is the science experiment that can be done to validate that event? You hopefully know there IS none. What science to examine water turning into wine? You know there's none. Why elevate it??
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman Wow, that's a pretty ambitious claim that I trust in man and not God. I guess you don't believe in medical science either then. I have faith that Jesus did all those things, but they can also be proven by historical evidence which is a form of science.
robertbright777 2 months ago
@robertbright777 Medical science and doctors is not miracles. They are skilled in working with the body, but the body has to cooperate with their decisions or the people die, or get sicker, if the miracle of the body does not happen, the doctor looks like a fraud, a quack. Do you understand this?
Jesus walked on water. No scientist understands what allowed this, and so they assume he must have been walking on ice, even though Peter sank in WATER.
mormonanswerman 1 month ago
@robertbright777 I have witnesses from God again and again that Joseph Smith was indeed a prophet and the Book of Mormon is true, and the Church of Jesus Christ was restored. Those three things built on the foundation that Jesus is the Christ, the most wonderful truth of all, are constantly manifest to me by the power of the Holy Ghost. They would be to you too if you had not closed your mind to it. God does not open the door, WE do. We must be receptive. We must open that door and listen.

@mormonanswerman You point out two contradicting facts and use at least two logical fallacies.
A.You assert that lack of theism in of itself provides no moral insight in any aspect.
B.You assert that Mao and Stalin were not theists and that's the defining characteristic that lead them to be bad persons.
Those are contradictory.
The second assertion fails to association fallacy.
Finally, you finish the comment with a No True Christian argument that excuses you of any past action of any Christian.

Why not just make points, instead of sounding so pompous about everything... why not just speak plainly instead of making me wonder what you actually were trying to say? Do you have any idea of how to communicate? Its not that way. If you can't get it done in less sentences than that, then you need to work on it.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman
a civilized discourse seems to be rather impossible with you & thanks for proving that without my need to interfere. you are right though, my horrific atheistic world-view & indifference towards death (scary) stems from all those brutal games i played O_o you not only prejudge people & ideas without understanding them (or the capactity to do so) but also stupendously put out claims that are base-less, doctrine-driven & like a number of them simply wrong, by historical accounts
Medhiv83 2 months ago
@Medhiv83 You too are speaking on long drawn out run on sentences, that make my head hurt to try and figure out what it is you are trying to say. I say, if you can't get it done in 30 or 40 words or LESS, work harder at it. Besides, it SOUNDS ridiculous when you read it. Have you thought of that? You want civility, lets start with not speaking pompous, ok?
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman You are quick to forget what happened each and every time any religion got the reigns of power.
Again, theism and lack thereof is not a complex philosophical statement, regardless of how much anyone is willing to spin it that way.
It's a simple stance on one particular question.
Most Buddhists, in fact, do not have a belief in a deity and are, by definition, atheists.
Atheism does not even mean lack of religion.
atan0k 2 months ago
@atan0k I want to see how you compare the attrocities of Christianity with those of Atheism. You have not done that. You keep avoiding that, probably because of what Mao and Stalin did recently.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman You keep trying to get away with nonsensical arguments based on Mao and Stalin.
ANY state that enforces a belief or lack thereof is WRONG. But that flies right over your head - you equate a SECULAR state with one that PROSECUTES RELIGION. And you have NO PROBLEM attributing the atrocities such states to a LACK OF BELIEF that defines them as much as saying that cigarettes are NOT CUBIC, followed by affirming that things that are not cubic are bad for your lungs.
atan0k 2 months ago
@atan0k It is NOT nonsense. And it is NOT just Mao and Stalin. You must realize that those two men did not do all of this ALONE. No, they had millions of willing and ATHEIST accomplices. It was a whole nation gone amuck. We can see what Atheism does. We can view the proof and history of it.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman lol? Pretty sure religion has caused 80% of all world problems.
Pianomantodd1 2 months ago
@Pianomantodd1 vague generalizations, no basis in fact or true history. You keep convincing yourself. Its the atheists who have done all of the gross attrocities in this world. We DO have proof and recent history for all that. Its called China and Russia, with Mao and Stalin at the head of the atheist snake.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@Pianomantodd1 I am thinking that killing of 100,000,000 in this century by atheists is probably the major problem that took place in the history of the world. What do you think? You want to talk about the burning of a few witches? I am going to talk about MEGA millions dead at the hands of ATHEISTS and I am going to keep saying it until you atheists get it through your thick stubborn heads that it is not the religious people in this world who cause the BIG problems. Its the atheists.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman Religion has killed more people than anything else. The crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, The HOLOCAUST just to name a few. Millions of innocents have been killed over a non existent magical asshole who dose nothing to help the world and only lets people live so they can serve him. So what were you saying about atheism, atheism has killed no one.
Finestassassin45 2 months ago

LDStorminMormon 2 months ago
@LDStorminMormon Hi there. First off, I don't watch their videos. I do respond to most all of the comments that come in on this one. I think it might be helpful that an alternative point of logic be made on this stuff, so I write it. I am sure it stokes their fire, because most are not persuaded. But still, I think I speak the truth on all this, and so I say it. I do speak my mind on it, and I do tire of the lies that never go challenged. Doing a little push back, throw the "logic" back.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman
Hitler's Catholicism is well-documented; though not observant, his and his countrymen's (largely Lutheran) antisemitism was DIRECTLY drawn from longstanding christian doctrines that sought to convert, exclude, and/or exterminate Jews. Understand too that so-called 'atheist' leaders who are worshiped as saviors, given godlike powers over life and death, and run totalitarian states does NOT resemble anything skeptical: we usually don't follow dictators, divine or earthly.
plightweisgoff 2 months ago
@plightweisgoff Bill Gates Catholic upbringing is ALSO well documented. But somewhere along the line, he converted away from that and into godless ATHEISM. His loss.
Same with Hitler. I seriously doubt he was going to church each sunday as he ordered millions of Jews to get in box cars and go to the gas chambers to be murdered. I seriously doubt you could call that works done in the name of Christianity. Its unbiblical. Its anti Christ. Its murder. 10 commandments teach against it. So?
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman
Bill Gates' "loss"... of what? As for Hitler, his minions, and the German people in general: most all were observant theists who shifted some of their faithful zealotry to the regime's absolutism and its savior-like leaders. Unbiblical, no... the Blood Libel and the antisemitic violence it engendered was a CHRISTIAN invention; the apocalyptic narratives of Revelations provided the Nazi's a ready framework for the Holocaust and total-war devastation.
plightweisgoff 2 months ago
@plightweisgoff As painful as it is for me to allow this post, in the name of free speech I allow your LIES to spew forth...
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman
Could you --explain-- why you think my comments are lies? The history here is pretty open-and-shut; need I again point out Catholic Blood Libel (only withdrawn in the 60's), antisemitic Passion Plays in Germany since the 1300s, the Work of Martin Luther himself: "The Jews and Their Lies", numerous pogroms across Europe... etc... etc.
plightweisgoff 2 months ago
@plightweisgoff Yes your lies have to do with statements such as "christian invention"
As a christian, this is offensive, to hear people say that what I believe, Jesus Christ, is somehow "dangerous" and the root cause of all evil in the world. Evil is the OPPOSITE of Jesus Christ. It is satanic. So when one says they do not believe in God, this by default is satanic because you can't serve two masters, you are serving one or the other, It is obvious what YOU have chosen.
mormonanswerman 1 month ago
@mormonanswerman
I never claimed that Christianity was the root of ALL evil in the world, but it IS the source of antisemitism and the violence it engenders; this is undeniable, particularly when seen in the larger contexts of what you have illustrated: absolute belief in a cosmic war for supremacy forms the groundwork for atrocity against those serving the 'other master'.
plightweisgoff 1 month ago
@plightweisgoff Mao and Stalin were atheists. Call them what you want. They were atheists. They got a lot of other people to go along with all that, and they too, were atheists. Stalin and Mao did not pull the triggers. Millions of other ATHEISTS pulled the triggers to kill other people. Hitler could only get a relative FEW to do his SATAN work. But Mao and Stalin were able to get the MASSES to mobilize. Don't you see how atheism is more dangerous than anything we've seen???
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman
In short, even if Mao and Stalin were 'atheists' as with their followers, they merely ---reproduced absolutist theistic frameworks---.
plightweisgoff 2 months ago
@plightweisgoff As painful as it is for me to allow this post, in the name of free speech I allow your LIES to spew forth...
Shameful, painful.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman NONE of the people that slaughtered and continue to slaughter do it because they are atheists, they do it because they are murderers. Hitler was a mass murderer and was Catholic. Moses was a mass murderer and believed God told him to do it. The point is that just because they dont fear a fairytale it doesnt make them more dangerous. In fact many every year kill in the name of the Abrahamic God, one just has to look at the middle east. Want to guess how many?
sean32laf 2 months ago

Ethnic rivalry, not religion, is the source of the tension in Northern Ireland and the Balkans.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@2wives1prophet You are forgetting MAO. The best example of religious persecution in America is the Salem witch trials. How many people were killed in those trials? Thousands? Hundreds? Actually, fewer than 25. Yet the event still haunts the liberal imagination.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@2wives1prophet Claiming and BEING are two different things. Jesus said and taught BY THEIR FRUIT YE SHALL KNOW THEM and I am sticking with that. I am going to look at the deeds of people and not just the words they say. Both matter, but deed matter most.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman
you want to judge people by their deeds? a bold & admirable statement, however as someone, holding a believe you have no means of ever understanding the motivation & deeds of an atheist, save for reaching this point yourself an becoming one ... i'm not trying to be rude here or something, simply explaining the oneway train to atheism. the only thing to counter it naturally, would be evidence for god, which isn't even adequately described by saying that it's "highly unlikely"
Medhiv83 2 months ago
@Medhiv83 You only say you are an atheist. It is without morals, without codes of conduct. There is nothing within the VOID of atheism that says what to do, one way or another. Its wide open to interpretation and definition then. If you don't like it, why don't atheists stand for something? Then the rest of us wouldn't have to define it for you by some of your major players in it, like Mao and Stalin. They stood for something. They stood for death and power. Atheists.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman Atheism does not speak to morality and it is invalid to attempt to tie it to any moral standpoint. That being said to be atheist does not mean you are amoral, simply that you derive your standards from another source but religion. There are many healthy places to from which to draw your own moral center without resorting to mysticism. Any claim to the contrary is patently false and wishful thinking on your part in an effort to claim some kind of superiority that does not exist.
sharper68 2 months ago
@sharper68 BECAUSE Atheism does NOT speak to any specific morality, it directly stands for Amorality. Don't you see that??
You can't serve two masters, either you have morals or you do not. Atheism does NOT teach you morals. It teaches one of the most pernicious lies however, that God does not exist and there are no commandments and moral codes then. Anything goes, because there is no God.
Don't pretend you have a conscience while you say there is no God. That's nonsense.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman No I do not see that at all, your logic is erroneous. There are lots of choices we make that do not speak to our morality atheism is one of them. Because I choose not to believe in Santa or the tooth fairy does not speak to my morality either Those choices based on logic are decisions but do not speak to the source of nature of my morality. I disagree morality comes from your god, you judge me as not having the same quality of morality as you and I wholly disagree.
sharper68 2 months ago
@sharper68 Patently false? We have HISTORY on the side of reason. The Atheists have had the most terrible record. There is a reason for that. You need to look at the most BASIC tenet of atheism then, and that is the lie that there is no God. If you don't like what Mao and Stalin recently did to 100,000,000 people, then you need to look at what SHAPED them. Atheism is the common thread. Atheism is the reason. When God is removed, "Thou shalt not kill" becomes irrelevant. That's clear.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman Religions have a terrible record that continues to this very day. Religious communities have inspired the shooting of doctors and the cleansing of villages in Africa. Religiosity has no claim to a high ground of decency. Both Mao and Stalin created a pseudo religions of the state and personality replacing god with themselves and country. It is the always religious the true believers who are free to kill in the name of their gods or leaders, death squads are always fanatics.
sharper68 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman Atheism has no tenets but one, the lack of belief in a god. You attempt to characterize the movement by defining it in the same terms as your religion and that is your failure. Atheism has no tenets,it has no dogma there are no guiding principles. Because we do not derive our moral center from a belief in God does not mean we do not have one as valid or as failed as yours. To suggest otherwise is dead wrong. Religious people certainly have no monopoly on morality.
sharper68 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman You speak as if atheism is some sort of characterizable group of people.
This problem is caused by the existence of the widely misunderstood label "atheist".
Before you misuse the term in communication or thought, replace it by "people who don't experience a belief in a God", or "not theistic" as a short-hand.
To someone who understands the concepts, what you said is comparable to turning to people who don't collect stamps and likening them to Napoleon on those grounds.
atan0k 2 months ago
@atan0k ah, your arguments are just weak... they hold no power, no convincing power. Atheism is responsible for the most wickedness and harm to mankind in this world we live in, and you refuse to believe it because you are blind. It is plain. Don't believe in God, in fact, preach that God does NOT exist, because that's what you guys DO, you will indeed end up with a body of people, a "characterizable group" that is capable of doing MEGA mass murder. We have the proof of that. We have HISTORY.
mormonanswerman 2 months ago
@mormonanswerman You are dead wrong, in the case of Russia the church was attacked because it was a tool of the former Zar and was competing for power. The church that was attacked was a holy organization that allowed 1000's to starve and was part of a repressive regime that encouraged a whole country to rise up and revolt. They were not remotely moral and offered to the people besides a demand for subservience to the Zar. Your view of history is very self serving and entirely flawed.
