@Anemite i think luck only effects low or mid level items,so having high luck gives you more of those and less high level items,thus decreasing your chances of getting the high level gear stuff,well thats how i think it works

If you really want this want valmanway try to get the clamih solias first. Clamih Solias is easy to get VERY first attempt got it.

for the valmanway try alucard because soma gets all sorts of crap like souls

@LoydAndKratos Get your Luck high and do R. The Creature Alot to get it on Normal. Its the same drop rate on normal or hard. With 37 Luck i have a 19.35% Drop based on what the Item Compendium says.

Im using. Two Thief Rings, an Ebisu Raiment, and Three 7s.

Thief Ring is from Chapter 2 Hard or Chapter 11 Normal Boss.

Ebisu Raiment is from Chapter 11 Normal/Hard Boss I believe.

Three 7s is from Chapter 3 Purple Chests.

Royal Crown would be Helpful too but i haven't been all that lucky with Astarte Lately.

LCK doesnt effect chests in any way all it does is increase the chances of gaining itesm that arent it chests e.g Soma with soul collecting, charolette spells absorbing, whip userssubweapons and so on LCK is not chest related

Do you really think that Konami would put the Luck stat in the game just to fool people into thinking that it helps get better drop rates when it actually doesn't? Use your fucking heads, people: Luck DOES affect drop rates, but it's still a RATE, meaning that you only have a chance to get an item still, but that chance is raised with luck.

They were playing as a DLC character that you do not have. Whenever someone plays as a DLC character, such as Richter Belmont, that you do not have, it shows up as an old axe armor.

Fun fact: Luck does absolutely nothing. Neither does it hurt your chances. Boss drops are all random for everyone.

I call bullshit...I put on a thief ring and in 2 days got 5 valmanways...luck does in fact help your chances, otherwise they wouldnt put it in the game. Everyone has half cocked theories on how to get a val or other 5 star items. Just raise your luck and be patient.

The key word in your statement is the letter "I".

In my personal experience, when I was trying to get my first thief ring I fought for a while with no prevail, and then as soon as I equipped my luck gear I got my first ring on my first run.

After I got both of my thief rings, and equipped them, I got a 2nd muramasa, a 3rd thief ring, 2 miser rings, and a Dracula's Tunic. All those items, in 1 day, by wearing 2 thief rings.

Could be a coincidence, but I can't say for sure.

@MyMindsDisease The game has been updated since this first came out and it is possible the thief rings were fixed in the update . In my expirience , getting things like a Val happens when I have a no-damage bonus , and finish the chapter fast .

Not bragging but I can honestly say this vid gave me hope for a Valmanway. With that, I've gotten my second Valmanway, Dracs tunic, Berserkers mail and Alucards sword all in under an hour. Either that or I just got extreamly lucky.

Yes having less luck is better for level 5 rarity. For example I used two thief rings three 7's and all that good stuff giving me a total of 47 luck. I killed death 200 times for the scythe never got it... Then I took all my stuff off and put on my beefy gear and the second time fighting him I got it. I had 5 luck at the time. Goes to show.

Even though I've only played solo to date, I typically wield Yusats (and one Valmanway, for all the good it's worth), and I'm lucky to do ~44 pts/hit. What all do you have equipped?

Drac's Tunic

Double Meginords (sp?)

Winged Boots

Samurai Helmet (?)

And the cape varies ... typically, it's Black, or ... ah, hell. I can't even remember :-|
